People play Discovery to relax. They shouldn't need an English Language qualification to play a certain part of it. If Factions appoint people who don't speak good English that's on them.

Being in a position of (supposed) power should come with the responsbility of communication. You wouldn't expect someone entirely incapable of speaking English in a role of an Administrator on a ENGLISH server, would you?
Then they can just get someone to speak on their behalf. How do you think foreign businesses communicate with each other? They have interpreters. Fact of the matter is the majority of this server's population doesn't come from countries where English is their primary language. I just don't see the reason to rip OFL from people just because their English isn't great. I mean ok, what example is there that's so negative and detrimental to the server experience that it would justify barring people from OFL who can't speak English effectively?

Quote:Discovery Freelancer 24/7 RP is a ROLEPLAYING server. ROLEPLAY is mandatory on the server.
If you can't roleplay ingame or contribute to the roleplay experience, you absolutely shouldn't be taking up position of leadership where you are required to be vocal. Failing to be able to communicate really comes under 1.7. Why should everyone else have the inconvenience of decyphering hieroglyphs and them having been misunderstood?

Having minor errors and slight hiccups doesn't mean you become a pixel hieroglyph. You still can be understood. You're not using google translate as your clutch.
No idea what your problem with this is tbh..
"1.7 - Everything must be in understandable English" and I have no problem at all with understanding what is written in the threat you linked, even tho english isn't my primary language
