Subject: Patrol report, announcements
Gentlemen,
excellent work out there, this week! It's good to see Bretonia from space, once again.
A little belated patrol report; yesterday, I launched in order to meet up with Sergeant Roxburg, who was performing a patrol in Leeds. After a bit of trader scanning, we picked up a hostile IFF; Clover, a known Gaian terrorist.
Not long until the comms showed signs of her activity, harassing a civilian trader! We engaged immediately, allowing the trader to flee towards the planet. After a tough fight, we succesfully disabled the Gaian vessel.
Footage of Clover's defeat
---
As well, Commander Vimes and myself agreed on further details, concerning the Commerce Control Division.
The CCD will, for the time being, consist of six (6) ships, five of them respectively under command of a trusted BPA member, plus another one being under shared command.
The Division will consist of:
The Loricate
The Buckler
The Pavise
The Rondache
The Carapace
and
The Brigandine
The callsign naming convention will be as following: BPA)Name, e.g. BPA)Brigandine
We decided to go without the '[CCD' at the end (see SRD), it won't be needed, as the BPA won't field ATs or Percherons in any other cases - except the Anvil.
About the personal CCD units: the chosen Captain of the vessel will decide what vessel he or she will command. Either a Percheron or an Amoured Transport will be available.
This is the recommended loadout:
Armoured Transport
2 Splitters (or 2 Codename weapons, if available)
7 Adv. Debilitator Turrets
Train Cruise Disruptor
Adv. Cargo Scanner
Adv. Transport Shield
Armor Upgrade Mk VIII
Percheron
(same equipment as the Armoured Transport, save the guns)
5 Transport Turrets, Level 4
On another note, the command of these vessels will go to already acting constables, only. In other words, it will not be possible to apply to the BPA and immediately command a CCD unit.
At this moment, two of the CCDs are already claimed, and three requests are on my office desk.
The Loricate will be my personal patrol vessel and the Buckler will fly under Commander Vimes' orders.
The following officers sent in an application for the CCD, and are hereby accepted:
Sergeant M'guire, Constable Brown and Constable Trevelyan. I suggest we discuss the assignment to the Pavise, Rondache and Carapace on our NSY Comm Channel, if possible.
If you're not on the list, don't worry! The Brigandine's key codes will be shared between future applicants and, in case the CCD will prove to be a succesful investment, there may be other CCD units.
This is all for now; should you have any questions, contact me on the frequencies of your choice.

Good day all,
As usual, had a few run ins, and a close call. Keeps the day interesting, eh?
Scanned a few passing traders, and some tourists from Liberty. Only a minor problem with one of their ID's, seem it was invalid. (civi ID on lvl 43) Nothing special though.
Next, station scanners picked up some CR in Leeds, seems they were on a trade mission. A pair of advanced trains, carrying optronics to Cambridge. After escorting them to Cambridge, they left via Omega 3 for somewhere in 7 or so, possibly Rhienland, with a lot of scientists..
Nothing of note in my patrols of Cambridge, and Manchester, something in Leeds though. Found a Luxury Liner, named the "Zorais" near Stokes, was carrying plutonium bound for the Omegas. After telling him about our laws regarding plutonium, he refused to drop it off in Bretonia. He then, without any warning, started to blast my ship! I barely survived the first barrage, and it seems he had another trick. My comm to other nearby units went dead, and he called for help! So I had to flee from his many guns, and a passing patrol who'd thought I was the attacking without cause...
I'd like to put a bounty on his ship, as he should learn the price for ignoring our laws.
Had to put in after this attack for ship repairs. Currently on Leeds, going to move to New London once able.
Also, thank you sir for accepting my request to join the CCD. I take it my ship is to be called the "Pavise"? I'd also like to command the armoured transport, although the perch has better weaponry, it looks a mite sluggish for my tastes.

Launching from London today, i suddenly heard the sound of a corsairish voice in my comms, those of Matei if the Brotherhood. Searching for him, i was heading to Cambidge JG, then to Canterburry. Well i didn't find him there, but 2 Orcas having some VIP's, Civilians and even a BAF pilot in their hold. Revan and Frechfuchs.
Of course, i asked them to hand them over, which Revan did immediatly. But my Tractors could only tractor in the BAF pilot, the other got tractored by this Frechfuchs.Upon asking him to drop them, Frechfuchs runned away via the Tradelane.
The shocking thing had to come: he stated that he dropped the pilots via beeing travelling with the Lane.
I immediatly went down the lane, all the way to Southhampton, but couldn't find them.
In the end, i brought only the BAF back, i hope the others were picked up somewhere.

Subject: CCD, Bounty Request Granted
Gentlemen,
yesterday, I managed to get a look at the CCD hangars as well, and it seems the roster is quite clear now. The construction has been finished, as well as the assignment. Further information will be transferred to the respective commanders.
For now the hangar setup looks like this:
BPA)Brigandine - Armoured Transport (partly in construction, under shared command)
BPA)Loricate - Armoured Transport, Under the command of Commissioner Joshua Cooper
BPA)Buckler - Armoured Transport, Under the command of Commander Samuel Vimes
BPA)Pavise - Armoured Transport, Under the command of Sergeant Duncan M'guire
BPA)Carapace - Armoured Transport, Under the command of Constable Roy Brown
BPA)Rondache - still under construction, supposedly under the command of Constable Gideon Trevelyan
On another note, the bounty request on the Luxury Liner Zorais is hereby granted. I will add it immediately to the NSY Wanted Board.

Subject: CCD, Prisoner Exchange
Gentlemen,
a short update, concerning the CCD;
as we've just recently realized, the Armoured Transport doesn't offer a spot for Train Cruise Disruptors, making it impossible to stop a culprit when flying alone. The BPA will of course fund you, should you decide to upgrade to a Percheron in this case.
Still, the AT offers firepower for a reasonable fee. For all those that usually fly their patrols together with a Hussar, I'd advise to keep their AT.
On another note, the Gaian activity is rising once again - after our confrontation with Clover recently, I faced another one of those eco-terrorists today, James_Apollo. Harassing a trader and then fleeing, I realized he had several civilians and BPA officers in his hold.
In order to get our men and women back, I arranged a prisoner exchange. While I rushed back to Leeds for the Gaian prisoners to be loaded into my cargo hold, the terrorist flooded the communication channels with his propaganda.
Unfortunately, as the transfer from prison took a little while, he decided to show his 'determination' by using force against one of the prisoners. Luckily, I managed to get to the meeting point in time, and the exchange succesfully took place;
Due to his criminal actions, a bounty will be on the head of Mr Apollo.

Subject: Piracy in Cambridge
I wish to report that I was nearly the subject of a corsair pirate while attempting to dock at Cambridge. The perpetrator had a gunboat and was just sitting in orbit, demanding ransom from everyone that entered the system. Fortunately for me I had already engaged the mooring clamps and was able to miss him. However, I know there were others behind me that he extorted millions of credits from.
I have spent millions of credits in Bretonian space, and plan on spending millions more for ships and equipment. (I'm saving up for a Firefly.) I support law enforcement activities - I'm not a mercenary or even a simple trader - I'm a totally independant freelancer. I defend myself from attack by Red Hessians, Mollys, Outcasts, and other assorted annoyances. The crew of Battleship Suffolk can attest to the number of times I've stopped there, dropping them off.
I simply wish to report this crime, and to let you know that if any members of NSY need my assistance while I'm in system, I will gladly volunteer as is my civic duty and give it.

Dear Mr Eladesor,
thank you for your report concerning the current Corsair piracy. We always appreciate any help or support coming from the civilian side of Bretonia.
Cambridge is the system that suffers the most from frequent Corsair intrusions and piracy. Unfortunately, even the BPA can't be present all the time in order to prevent such despicable crime.
If you would like us to take measures against said Corsair capital vessel, we will need its callsign in order to identify the ship once it enters Bretonia space again.
Again, let me thank you for your courage and cooperation.
Yours,
Joshua Cooper

Be On the Look Out for a smuggler going under the call sign Naga Shadow.
Whilst making a cargo run today, I noticed that he was entering Bretonian space in a Kusari cargo vessel. I did a quick scan of him and noticed two things - one, he was carrying plutonium and two, he was carrying civilian ID. He was obviously smuggling.
When I noticed his cargo, and that there were no police officers nearby, as a good citizen (and lawful freelancer, of course) of Sirius, I attempted to make a citizens arrest. I ordered him to stop twice or I would open fire. He refused to do so. I was unable to prevent him from fleeing through the Dublin Jump Gate, and unfortunately he appeared to have assistance as a large group of pirates was there as well. When they engaged me, he made his escape.
He was obviously smuggling, as evidenced by where he went.

Subject: Patrol Report, Kishiro Kidnappers
Gentlemen,
on a short patrol flight yesterday in Leeds, I encountered a higly suspicious vessel; a Mammoth transport, outfitted with a Liberty Police IFF and a scrambled callsign. The latter was the reason to halt that vessel immediately: the name of the ship was [kishiro]DoOMsDaY{Ohara.
Questioned about his origin and destination, that bold fellow openly admitted to be a Kishiro employee 'scouting' Bretonia. The VIPs aboard turned out to be Bretonian civilians from New London, about to be kidnapped by a Kusarian!
Luckily, the captain of the vessel followed my order to drop the civilians immediately - unfortunately, he managed to get away, since I had to make sure the VIP pods were safe until Mr Vederman arrived.
I flew back to New London in order to get the Loricate, able to get the VIPs back to their home.
What worries me is the fact that the spy announced his return... should you catch him within Bretonia, get him out without further delay!
