I would scold you for gravedigging, but this thread needed the bump.

Say, Clayph, if you're still around, mind sending someone the files in case you don't show up again?

Sov, you will have more luck lurking on Skype until he gets on. Besides, isn't Yuri working on them anyways?

Good to see that the Outcasts would give their greatest warrior the honor of naming such a weapon after him.

Heh heh

//good work, looks very balenced

Odd, I don't see anything named 'Cordova' on that list:laugh:But seriously, give us our RP-correct SNs!

Quote:Nomad Strangelet Cannon

Hull Damage - 123 000
Shield Damage - 61 500
Range - 2300m
Energy Usage - 25 000
Projectile Speed - 350 m/s

No thanks.
It's a mini capable of instant killing anything.
If this one stays the same, this whole proposal gets a big no from me.

Quote:Tell me if you think it is seriously unbalanced.

It is. Not a single one of these should ever go above 280 speed, as it is now.
I have soooo many complaints here.
For example, you have to draw some basic lines in which you can work.

Range of 1300 for an antimatter cannon is just purely funny.

Quote:Blood Dragon Photon Mortar
Raiden

Hull Damage - 113 000
Shield Damage - 56 500
Range -2400 m
Energy Usage - 31 500
Projectile Speed - 320 m/s
Refire Rate 0.22

Why are the Blood Dragons getting a better one again?
Oh yes, they are the Blood Dragons, they have the best weapon scientists in Sirius.
Even better scientists then 4 Houses.
Cmon, this thing + Red Catamaran = Sick.

This needs some serious discussion. As I said, if you don't want EVERYONE flying bombers, this ain't gonna work.
Look at Kusari at the moment.
70% of unlawfuls are flying Red Catamarans, the rest are Caps and fighters.
Give them that super-ultra-fighterkilling torpedo and it will go up to 95%.

Also, just to add, Order should have THE BEST antimatter cannon. They developed the first, which means that they are one step ahead.

And Treewyrm, I agree that there should be variety. But it somehow always ends with variety going in favor of Nomads.
That is why Blunt said to keep it all the same, which I support at the moment, until this proposal is revised.

Truth.
In all honesty, I believe I said something similar earlier. Most people don't know how dangerous that sort of a gun is, but I don't think that it will last through the beta.

It most certainly won't.
I remember 4.83 and fast supernovas, and I really believe no one wants to go that way again.

Someone said that Nomads and Wilde should have these better weapons.
My question is why? Are they lazy to learn to use the slower ones, just like everyone else?
Also, they are where they are because of their "supreme RP". Why would they need better PVP tools?
I will remind you that they already have the best tech available. Pump it a bit more, and it will just get ridiculous.

I agree also. The projectile speed should be kept uniform across these weapons. As much as I like variety, balance is heavily at stake here.
