Gym day today. I was doing some intensive combat training, you know one of those virtual ones where you do simulation combats by controlling a joystick while sitting in a chair. I was a bit distracted though, as I was having a hard time deciding which donut to get afterwards to compensate my hard work. Chocolate or cinnamon? Life can be hard sometimes.
Suddenly, the alarm went off. Aux ships spotted in Coronado!!! Dang it, those Aux just never learn to take a hint. Jumping into =CR=Lazy.Bum, I flew to the Barrier Station where the Aux ships were last spotted. There, I rendezvoused with a Crayter Battleship - "CFV_Leonardo". There was no Aux ships in sight but the captain of "CFV_Leonardo" told me several Aux ships destroyed a Bretonian military ship in the system moments ago. Just then, a freelancer flying a Waran bomber, "Convenience.Distraction" undocked from the Barrier Station. The pilot of the ship claimed to be the traffic controller of the Barrier station, and began to verbally harass the captain of "CRF_Leonardo" for unknown reason. Shortly after, an Aux fighter ship, "A/)-Guillotine" approached us.
I kindly informed the pilot of "A/)-Guillotine" that the Crayter military does not tolerate Aux ships in Coronado and politely asked him to come in to Yuma with me. I was given no choice but to use lethal force when the pilot refused to comply with my demand. Believe it or not, those virtual training I had been doing did have a big effect on my dog fighting skill, and I was getting an upper hand against "A/)-Guillotine" quickly. However, seeing "A/)-Guillotine"'s inevitable ill fate, another Aux fighter ship, "A/)-Krauklis" joined the fight against me. Meanwhile, "A/)-Guillotine" began to attack "CFV-Leonardo" together with the freelancer "Convenience.Distraction", who began bombarding "CFV-Leonardo" without a legitimate reason soon as I engaged the Aux vessels (I highly suspect that the freelancer is yet another Aux spy).
The pilot behind "A/)-Krauklis" was one of the well-known top pilots in the Aux army, who had destroyed numerous Crayter and its allies' vessels. Even with the virtual combat trainings I had been doing, I quickly ran into trouble against her. Making the matter worse, my ship's radar system was ill-fitted to detect mines quickly and I ran into several of those during the fight. As I had depleted all my repairing bots while "A/)-Krauklis" was barely scratched, I knew my time had come. Before my ship was destroyed, however, I wanted to cause as much damage to "A/)-Krauklis" as possible. So in the last joust, I put up the shield using all the remaining batteries and deployed a "Shredder Mine" as I rammed into "A/)-Krauklis"...
"Boom!!!" I felt my body was being torn apart by the explosion wave. Just before I lost consciousness, beautiful images flashed before my eyes - my mom, my dad, Bob's donuts, my girlfriend. The next thing I knew, I was awaken by sharp alarms from the ship's operating system: HULL BREACH! ENGINES ON FIRE! SHIELD DOWN!, Wait whaaaaaat? I'm still alive? Confused, I tried my best to dodge incoming fires from "A/)-Krauklis". But there was no incoming fires. As I looked out from the cockpit, I saw bits and pieces of "A/)-Krauklis" floating around in the space. My ship's onboard instant recording system showed that as I approached "A/)-Krauklis", my guns brought down her shield first. Then the "Shredder Mine" I deployed exploded, causing huge damage to "A/)-Krauklis"'s hull and brought down my newly charged shield. Coincidentally, "A/)-Krauklis" also deployed a mine at the time, which was triggered by the explosion of the "Shredder Mine", destroying "A/)-Krauklis" on the spot without giving any time to the pilot to use repairing bots.
After I came back to my senses, I tractored in the unused repair bots and shield batteries from the debris of "A/)-Krauklis" and had my ships repaired as new. I also received news from the crews on "CFV_Leonardo" that they had successfully shot down "A/)-Guillotine" as I was fighting "A/)-Krauklis". Immediately after "A/)-Krauklis" was destroyed, "Convenience.Distraction" fled the battle.
The biggest lesson I learned from this fight? Life is too short. The answer should always be "both" when it comes to the choice between chocolate and cinnamon donuts.

Yeah, they been getting a little too bold here of late. A Brit dread I came upon was being engaged by Aux ships along with a Freelance Zoner Gunboat that was just wreaking havoc with him. I came along just about in time to mop up as he'd already dealt with 3 of the bombers but the Gunboat had him on the ropes. I pulled alongside to assist about the time his hull ruptured, scattering scorched shrapnel and crew pods everywhere. I scooped up all I could and went after the Gunboat but after seeing his buddies fail even after a brutal and well-fought battle, I guess he didn't have the stomach for my paint job (which I happen to be very fond of) and bailed.
From what I could ascertain after the fray many of these Aux pilots are basing out of one of the Barrier Gate stations. Wasn't long after my medical officer was elbow deep in British and Auxian wounded that another Freelance gunboat stuck his nose outside one of the Barrier Gate stations. I was a bit consumed with scanning for more wounded and possible prisoners when my hand brushed against my weapons control, misfiring a mortar round at the closest barrier station at which point the Freelance pilot started shooting off his mouth about the Crayter Republic trying to annex another base and warning me against shooting again. I told him it was an honest misfire but the way he started running his mouth brought a lovely retort from my Comms officer about his being in Crayter territory and to mind his rude mouth and his probable questionable business.
I just smiled at that but then the freelancer did something that was brutally braindead. He fired on us. By this time the base was already firing on us with everything they had and started spilling angry pilots out of every bay door anyway so I had no qualms about letting my weapons officer, Mr. Kelly, have a little fun with the mouthy Freelance pilot.
A couple of well placed mortar and heavy mortar rounds ended his retorts with shocking brevity. I just smiled again as I instructed helmsman Jacobs to take us out of range of the station as we'd collected all remaining life pods from the Brit Dread and those foolish enough to tangle with his lot. It was a well-fought battle, as I mentioned earlier in my report, even if the ship did eventually pop like a Ginormous, big, festered zit. The captain and most of his crew fared rather well after their ordeal and I'm sure their Admiral will have questions over the loss of such a magnificent ship, but that is the cost of battle sometimes, especially with as many bombers as he had on his case.
One rather creative move on the Captain's part was a cruise engine boost and drift that spun him around facing his opponents which is how most of the damage he dealt occured. I thought it a rather brilliant maneuver on his part and rarely had I ever seen such a maneuver in asteroid ridden space as that in the Barrier Rim.
Well done, says I. To the captain of the HMS Hercules....well done! I'll be his wingman anytime.

We knew it'd only be a matter of time. Outcast Dreadnought Captana and an accompanying battlegroup made their bold insertion into Tau 44 today, opening fire immediately on Sulawesi Citadel upon jumping in sys. I was escorting the Deimos class dreadnought Agamemnon when we came upon them. A single Sarissa-class Outcast battleship, the MNS Limon foolishly broke off from its companions and engaged us. Agamemnon plowed ahead and I swung around in my Pytho and began sending in my nova's. The engagement was brief and the Outcast battleship began breaking apart under the onslaught from the heavy batteries of the Agamemnon and my strafing torpedo and antimatter shots. With our foe downed, we headed for Minato to regroup with the main fleet and make plans for dealing with our new enemies.

This is going to get worse before it gets better.
Co-ordinated battle groups should be considered. Bombers, fighters and docking bay available Dreads would be the order of the day. Throw in the repair ship MMM_CR_Logistics&Repair to keep the fleet up and supported. Add a couple well armed gunboats and that should be able to repel most attacks and turn the tides on the enemy by seeking them out. The Leonardo has one docking bay with the available option of another docking bay for support of the fleet.
This is an official offering of services to the Republic.

Following an incursion from both Tau-31 and Tau-23, and an attack on Sulawesi that has left the station with considerable damage, IMG and Crayter Military forces have confirmed the presence of two Outcast warfleets moving on Borneo proper. The threat we've considered for the past few weeks has arrived, and there's no time for pause.
All available Military units are to report to Carrier Hades in Borneo orbit. All localized Tau-44 units are to stand guard at Planet Borneo and dig in. Teams will be mobilized to Sulawesi through openings in the enemy front to fortify the Tau-23 corridor and prevent an enemy retreat. Any units that are unable to make it past the enemy positions around Borneo should move to either Sulawesi or Singapore where possible. IMG forces from Singapore have begun moving in to assist Hades. Assist them where you can.
The sniffers may be on our doorstep, but that does not mean we will not make this hell for them. They came to us, so it's high time we show them how we do things in Crayter. Positions of hostile warbands have been linked below.

To Fleet Ops Command;
The Leonardo and MMM's Logistics Repair made it to the Citadel at nearly 2 AM, ship time. We'd no more than cleared the jump hole when we were engaged by 2 MNS battleships and what appeared to be an outcast bomber, considering the shield damage we sustained. Even from the jump hole it was obvious the Citadel was in near ruin. Flames compounded docking efforts as the docking computers were extremely sluggish, likely due to the damage incurred to the base. Seemed every available vent on the station was engulfed by spewing flames to retard interior damage to the base.
Unfortunately, as we finally managed to get docked by the skin of our paint jobs, it was obvious that we were alone in the system, save for the attacking Outcast battle group. Two other ships, the Busy Bee and Blue Fury fled the system shortly after our arrival on the scene as they were reported being seen in Tau-31 and Tau-23, respectively. There was little to no damage to either of our ships, although we were under heavy fire from the MNS battleships. We're holding our position for now as we await support from other of the Republic fleet. Our plan is to try and get to the Hades and give support as much as possible, but the timing has to be right and a roster of participating fleet ships would be greatly appreciated so we can further assess and come to grips with some kind of defence strategy before the Citadel is turned into a scrap heap, which from the looks of it, it's not far away from being Junker fodder.
We will stand-by for now until comms from the rest of the fleet can be established and await possible reinforcements to our position. Otherwise, we will make a dash for the Hades when a window of opportunity presents itself and we will rendezvous with other forces that may be there or dug in at Borneo.
Thorensen out, Captain, CFV_Leonardo

The fight is hot as hell here. The outcasts are pulling all the stops to break us and we're trying to match their numbers. Everyone is fighting for their lives and the republic. Some freelancers have even come to our aid and are fighting along side of us. I've taken some shots but it's nowhere close to representing all that's happening. In the future I will try to capture more so we can have a better record of what's going on.
The hammer is breaking. Outcasts pour from Captana like a plague and yet, with the arrival of our reserve fleets and brave participation of our IMG allies and numerous independent contractors, they collapse like a vapour. It is only a matter of time before the strength of Malta is spent in 44. Wave after wave of their capital class ships break against our vessels. In one of the last bouts 4 Ranseur battleships, 4 Storta cruisers and 1 battlecruiser crashed into our line and every one became dust or fled with our side losing a single crippled Deimos. Word arrives from Tau 31 and Tau 23 that our gunboats and bombers have begun to interdict and wipe out the drug ferries that are mainlining their putrid disease into Bretonia.
With the ongoing invasion of Tau 44, the forces of Malta have unleashed their fleets of smugglers through the Tau's pumping their unregulated drugs through to their House dealers. Our forces have been stretched thin but in coordination with local security forces and a handful of Crayter pilots, we have been able to interdict a few of these drug peddlers. Today I've made another interdiction, this however was the first time the smuggler refused to comply and drop cargo. I pursued the vagrant drug hauler across Tau 31 before catching up to the vessel. Again the Golden Chrysanthemum refused to comply and lose the cargo so a firefight ensued, resulting in the destruction of the transport. This is not the first Golden Chrysanthemum junkie my crew and I have intercepted in the last few days.
We will not allow unfettered, unregulated trafficking of dangerous substances through the Taus!

This invasion continues to bring out the worst in people. Whilst awaiting repairs to my Nyx, I volunteered to pilot an Atlas transport of my wounded brethren back to Coronado from Sulawesi. I departed the Citadel and made for the Tau 23 jump hole and spotted a Freelancer bomber vessel with transponder ID "Tormenter" I hailed a greeting to which he responded and made my jump. The Freelancer followed.. We continued until we were a good 20 clicks out of the hole when he tried to spring his trap. The bomber launched missiles that knocked my transport out of cruise speed. I quickly beamed a distress call back to the Citadel and they scrambled support in the form of =CR=Rogue-4. I attempted to stall the bomber and reminded him I had thousands of wounded soldiers aboard while help made its way and the Freelancer informed me that he was being paid to take out Crayter transports but wouldn't divulge who his benefactor was. A back and forth continued until he mysteriously took off just before my relief arrived. Rogue 4 then escorted me into Tau 31 towards the Baffin jump hole. She went and scouted ahead as we saw potential threats on long range scans, when suddenly I lost comms with her. Now alone, the Freelancer vessel showed up again on scanners but this time he made his intent clear- our destruction. I sent out a quick distress burst on comms and headed for Holman Outpost. Luckily for me and the thousands aboard my transport, help was out there.
The IMG Sagarmatha class battlecruiserFlexitarian crackled into the comms that they were making way to assist and would make all haste to join us at Holman Outpost. The Freelancer bomber would not relent and his Waran continued making strafing runs on our vessel as we thrusted with all we could for our destination. Multiple Nova torpedos detonated on our hull and our shield was completely blown apart under the fire. Our transport turrets fired with all the spent fury they held but couldn't hardly track the weaving snub. Flexitarian came in sight and we thrust towards her and hugged the battlecruiser to share some of the incoming damage and her guns erupted on the bomber. A more stunning sight couldn't have been seen. Comms came alive as Rogue 4 reestablished contact and notified us she was heading towards our position with all haste and Crayter gunship=CR=FV-Maxim|528 notified us they were also coming to our aid. Our hull was nearly breached at this point with every info panel in front of me screaming. Flexitarian shielded us with her hulk as we closed on Holman and slammed into her docking port. Smoke belching and barely still considered a flying vessel, my Atlas touched down with all passengers arriving safely. My poor wounded were transferred to another transport shortly thereafter and successfully made it home to Yuma as I've been informed.
The crew of the Flexitarian informed me the bomber fled after our transport docked, his prey no longer available to him. Sick people attacking the most vulnerable....
Our thanks go our IMG brethren for their aid and to the Crayter relief forces that were involved. Your bravery and devotion to our cause is well appreciated.
