okay here another video about the extending wings ... The Rheinland Valkyrie ... I can say that this ship`s wings are GREAT !!!!!looks sooooo niiiiiiiiiceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I keep watching this movie ...
interesting. So it means, with some tweaking, we can still make these wings fold.
however, how?as well, making them permanently folded in this position?
that would be really great.
' Wrote:I'd like to see it added to the cruise animation personally, e.g. a defenders wings fold in due to the high speed.
O don't want to ruin the fun, but... There's no gas, or anything that would do pressure on the ship in the empty space, so there is no resistance on the ship. But it would still look cool... But they would not fold because of the speed. At least not at the speeds the freelancer has.
EDIT: Unless it is flying on a planet.
I wrote a really funny FL story, but it disappeared when the old forum went away. So, no lulz for you today.
Reason he has to eject something is becuase the only moving part of a ship is the bay doors....
What hes done is created the outer wings and fooled FL into thinking they're bay doors. Hence how it works.
Only problem is, the bar doors don't stay open forever, they shut again. The wings would stay in for about 1 or 2 seconds before opening again. Hardly anything to be exited about...:(
It may be possible to create something where the wings are seperte parts from the main body, linked with some sort of constantly updating link (The wings always stay X amount of distance from the body) and a certain key, or if cruise is engaged, the distance changes....
I can create ideas that might be feasible, but I have no idea how to code. I'm trying to learn, and failing...perhaps someone like Korrd could help better than I can?

Don't forget the nebula clouds.
I do agree, if some one could figure out to make wings fold when cruise engines are on, that would be great.
