Can you tell when it happened and if it was in a fight what were they flying?
My sister experienced it in that big Fed/Imp fight before Christmas and I experienced it in some systems, mostly close to solars, preferably many and large ones like in Pennsy close to Philadelphia station.
One time I had it when I was just flying around O-49 with nearly nothing around me, just by moving my mouse real quick.
Maybe it won't help, but issue doesn't appear when I launch Disco using integrated GPU like Intel HD Graphics. No matter, what current conditions you have, but mouse doesn't have a lag issue
I had mouse lag on win7, and on win10. The issue was infrequent on windows 7, and it has started happening since the last year. Freelancer is an old game, so it's not entirely compatible with the newer software.
When the battle is important, but the mouse lag is preventing me from doing anything, I have a solution. I don't think anyone proposed this solution in this thread.
I search for the freelancer.exe in the task manager (details tab) -> Set affinity -> then select all of the processors. Freelancer will have one CPUs selected by default. Number of CPUs will reset once you dock, so keep that in mind. When I enable all of them, the mouse lag is completely gone, and it works.
You can make a script that enables all of the cores to work at all times, even though freelancer will barely use them because it's not really resource thirsty I guess. But I don't recommend making scripts because of the anti-cheat reasons.
