I can't recall what you call yourselves. A couple months ago when trying to sell Molybdenum Ore donated by The Gallic Metal Service to raise funds for our cause one of us got lost in some sort of remote system because of some crafty freelancer's "surefire shortcut" information he gave us when he sold us some goods to take back to Gallia.

We met a four man patrol in the system, they had no idea who we are - heck they didn't even know of The Royal's threat to humanity! They did speak of some sort of alien threat though they are fighting. I couldn't really relate, we heard some rumors in Gallia, but I just can't fathom how some remote alien threat could be relevant when the genocidal maniac lead Union Military state is a threat to everyone and already wiped out billions out of spite. So we ignored the matter, paid 2 million to you escorts to show us the way to Kusari and that was that.
The Union's New Weapon
What made me remember the encounter were last several days - there are strange things happening in Gallia. The Gallic Navy seems to have acquired a new dangerous weapon that shot down one of our ships last night - the armaments and the way it behaves is nothing like we have ever seen in our house.

The question I have for you - could this be connected to the non-human presence you spoke of? Does your movement have any sort of firepower to help us take down The Union if this really is your enemy they are cooperating with?

Let us know what you can do for us - we have a lot more proof should you have the will and means to help us.

P.S. To formally introduce ourselves - we are The Maquis' Front De Liberation. Our sole purpose is to free Gallia and protect humanity from the genocidal Royals and their collaborators, and end their reign over Gallia they now hold via controlling The Gallic Union military state.

The Gallic Battlecruiser

I am Inquisitor Valkyrie in service to The Order Overwatch. I will be handling this communication until the situation demands attention of the Admiralty directly. The IFF codes of our patrols should hint that the organization we work for is in fact The Order.

For future reference, Maquis will be well advised to stay out of this corner of Omicron space unless specifically invited or permitted by our High Command. To clarify any potential misunderstandings, it's not you being a ‘Maquis’: any ship, criminal or government, Sirian or Gallic that does not possess a valid clearance would be treated just as harshly. The Order highly values its privacy, reason why we settled as far from everyone else as it was humanly possible at the time.

I can see a capital ship - Gallic no doubt - firing suspiciously purple projectiles at one of your ships. Perhaps it is connected to our enemy, but going by your evidence we can hardly make out anything beyond an educated guess. The Order will investigate any claim by anyone, even forwarded by one’s enemy if there is genuine concern that the ship in question may be tainted. Therefore I ask you to provide any information you have on this ship, and in particular we are interested in:

Original manufacturer, if it is possible to establish: Royal, Council, Enclave, Confed, Union or other party.
Name of the ship, as well as its IFF codes and current allegiances, if such were stated.
Name of the captain, or any credentials you were able to establish, if any.
Structural integrity scan of the vessel’s hull and configuration. Weapon systems alone can tell us a lot about the nature of this ship and potential status of its crew.
Systems that this ship had been spotted. Whether this vessel is seen operating jumpgates and tradelanes with zero interference by government forces, or is an outlaw operating in the fringe.
Any individual that is allied to the vessel in question.

Subject:Gallic Navy's new weapon - evidence

I am not even sure where we were Laughs Like I explained to your patrol it was a freelancer telling us of an "easy shortcut". He failed to mention it's a controlled space or a restricted system. I am sure as we open up to Sirius more and gain more allies we will be able to tell one kind of Sirian from another, and what system is claimed by whom.

As to more details, well - we usually ask everyone we deal with what's their stance towards The Gallic Union and Gallic Navy. However in this case we just want to know what their new weapon is, and if it is of alien origin - to get as much help taking down The Union and Navy as possible. Here goes then.

Recap of Events
When in the Edinburgh system, we encountered a Gallic Navy war criminal, MdG's Ruben Leclere. Immediately as he appeared, we detected a cloaked signature, and the Battlecruiser Vatan uncloacked, hand in hand with the Union agent of terror.

It clearly was an Agent of the sinister Gallic Navy and GNI - as shortly after multiple other Gallic Navy usurpers arrived, and they all began to target our vessel, together in unison with The Vatan.

The Vatan began firing some unholy weapons I have never seen before

It also had multiple humans from various factions on board, a Strange Power Cell, and clearly indulges in Sunbucks Coffee and Donuts. For me, I prefer a croissant, thank you very much - it is already suspitious on it's own that a Gallic Battlecruiser would have those on board.

It then started to Unnaturally eminate some sort of Light sphere -and before you ask no, Gallic Battlecruisers usually do not do this.

We managed to approach it to get a closer look - it spoke in some Strange Sirian dialect. The words it spoke had some strange echo, but who am I to tell if that's normal for some Sirians or not - they all sound alike to me - you tell me.

Unfortunately, this was the end of the road for my ship - the bizzare weapons, lightning spikes, toxic cloud or the glowing orb it emmited, along with the fire from the rest of The Gallic Navy ships disabled my vessel.
There's also something I'd like to mention - there was a murderous Enclave insignia ship that seemed to disagree with the rest of the group - see for yourself from the attached logs. However I would pay it no mind - An Enclave faction tagged vessel is expected to have squabbles with Gallic Navy. We treat them the same - criminals that need to be wiped from the face of space, but it wouldn't surprise me some die-hard Enclave pigs would object to the Military state controlled by The Royals, as opposed to a formal Monarchy. The Enclave has now fully rejoined the Union, we have killed as many as we could on their way from Edinburgh in Orkney - so the former Enclave \*/~ tagged vessel is extremely unlikely to be part of, or represent, the Gallic Navy.

Going Further

We would like to know
- Can you identify the ship, armaments, whether it is the enemy your agents spoke of? Any information you give us, for example how dangerous it can be would be helpful.
- Whether, based on the clear evidence, you recognise that The Gallic Navy is clearly in leagues with the ship, appears at the same time as The Vatan and clearly shot us in unison with it.

This would mean our goals align - by helping us purge The Royals and The Gallic Navy they control, you would not only be protecting humanity from THEIR genocidal tendencies, but also strike YOUR enemy down in one fell swoop. We are prepared to offer our infrastructure and intel should you be willing to strike against The Gallic Navy. The Royals and their collaborators don't exactly engage in moderation when it comes to building up millitary assets - it is not beyond the realm of possibility there are fleets of the terrifying vessels like The Vatan being constructed somewhere in The Union as we speak. I suggest we act swiftly.

Battlecruiser Vatan

Edinburgh, hmm? I presume this intel is a cold case, since all sound-minded Gallics withdrew some time ago. Their IFF designation also speaks of some history, they are respectively Enclave’s armed forces and its intelligence branch, are they not? I will indulge your curiosity and explain what you had seen in that system. Battlecruiser Vatan, likely built by Enclave or inherited by the Royal regime years back. Equipped with numerous Nomad capital-grade ordnance. It has not been built like that, but converted: Likely captured during the course of Gallic War. Captain, or whatever was that thing on the comms spoke cryptic on top of that. Allied to elements of the long-dead regime, outcasts from society.

Without going into semantics regarding terminology too much, Vatan is an infected, or Wild. A human host captured by the Nomads is subjected to an infestation, where a subspecies of Nomads - an Incubi - grows into the human nervous system and assumes full control over the body and mind while at the same time leaving the host fully aware and conscious. It is an eternal torture and is irreversible process, save for a mercy kill. They roam Sirius either posing as normal humans, or organize themselves into a group of auxiliary combatants waging what is at a first glance pointless war of deception and extermination upon anyone unlucky enough to meet them.

Vatan displays all hallmarks of the latter. He or she is no longer hiding its real affinity, sporting grotesque amalgamation of human-built and nomad-grown organic technology. His identity may have been compromised some time ago by a third party, causing this drastic step or that its Nomad overlords had decided his purpose is to merely kill. Whoever its commander is, he is a threat to anyone within human controlled space.

Reaction and Containment

To precisely answer your questions as to how to move forward.

Vatan is unique, but there have been precedents. First of its kind had been a Liberty Navy vessel found in deep Omicrons. We can talk about a small “fleet”, although you should consider their power is spread over the entirety of colonized human space and engaged against more factions than you are yourself aware of. They are tools of terror rather than the main force of the Nomads, using our own caricatures against us. Think of them as Gallic War-era irregular Maquis partisans to frontline of Council.

Gallia is new to galactic astro-politics, Nomads did not have much time to act. The Gallic’s Union xenophobic nature will compound into strong resistance against the Nomads. We are likely talking about long lost elements of the Royal Navy that remain unaccounted for. Ideal solution would be to force Union’s hand and direct their main force to crush the hard-line renegades, Vatan among them and spare both of us the necessity of counting body bags. Declaring an entire House to be on the side of the Nomads is a drastic measure only undertaken by The Order once, in a war of 800 A.S. which we do not seek to repeat ever again until other options are exhausted.

Of course, that assumes we are talking about an early stage “tumor” that can still be treated. It is too early to comment. Hopefully you will find this answer satisfactory.

I can assure you with 100% certainty, that the ships seen flying in unison with The Vatan are La Maréchaussée de Gaule - they are one of the most active branches of The Gallic Navy, we fight them every week and they are seen on active duty all over Gallia. They have been the main force that worked on repelling our forces in Orkney, they fight in Ille De France, Languedoc and can be seen all over Gallia (and we have a lot of evidence to prove it). Our intel didn't indicate that before. but as you can see some of them now also bear the identifier of The Gallic National Intelligence. This is very much current and active Gallic Navy. You would make a grave mistake talking to The Gallic Navy who is clearly entangled in this - and needless to say, we would not appreciate your direct aid to them. As you would I assume not appreciate us talking to and aiding your main enemies.

The only out of place remnant of The Enclave, flying to our information a banner not used by The Gallic Navy was \*/~Nicolas,Plantagenet, and paradoxically he was the only one who stood against The Vatan.

I will level with you. I don't understand most of what you have said. People don't exactly follow me for my brains and all that stuff about Incubi, infestation and controlling goes way over my head and seems very detached from Gallia or my understanding of reality. I will pass what you have said to some of the more, let's say, non-simple minds in The Front, and hopefully they can make sense of it and get in touch with you.

Pardon me for perhaps unintentionally butchering your native language, but it was understood by The Order that the primary fighting force of Gallia is some outfit called Marine National Gaulose. While waiting for clarification, we will nonetheless take into consideration that some of those bastards may have gone under our radar and are already present within the borders of Gallia itself. This is a more troubling development and may lead to a bloodshed. Nonetheless, we still proceed as planned and press our contacts for names, associates and other leads.

I will try to formulate the data provided in a way that someone who does not speak Sirian English fluently could perhaps understand, then. The Nomads are abducting humans. Nomads put another Nomad inside the brain, creating Wild. Wild is a Nomad in a human skin. Commander of Vatan is a Wild. Nomad tech is not metal, but crystal/organic. Vatan’s guns were made by Nomads.

I severely underestimated your knowledge of Sirius so I took liberty to attach a couple of pictures from our database. I hope pictograms are self explanatory as to what we actually hunt. Those freaks of natures are the examples of the Nomads. We had been killing them for the last 28 years

This is why we do not want tourists or stupid freelancers going to Omicrons. It is a warzone. Their biggest ships are the size of Valor if not bigger.

I can clearly see you are a man of action rather than finesse so I will stress in particular what I want to achieve: I need to do prep work to establish which part of Gallia is healthy, and which is beyond saving so regular humans are not caught up in the crossfire. I need a plan, increased surveillance, recon, tactical and strategic data. Without it, my targets may hide beyond our reach or stop us in our tracks. The only alternative is to borrow those fancy ‘Warwolf’ cannons and glass every settlement suspected to hold a Wild just to be sure. I do not think this is what you want to achieve, do you Mr Boucher?

Not sure who your contact is, but he clearly cannot be trusted. Marine Nationale Gauloise truly are very high on our death list, but especially recently the main assholes thwarting our activity have been precisely those you call "some of those bastards", La Maréchaussée de Gaule. Since you seem to talk to some strange contact that you trust over us who brought you direct evidence, I will indulge you with further data. This clearly shows that these aren't some infiltrators and escapees - these are standard Gallic Navy or GNI agents, doing standard villanous duty in the name of The Gallic Union just like MNG and all the other villains, mostly attacking us heroic Maquis.

MdG - The Union bastards we have been seeing the most of lately

All of these encounters were captured by yours truly, in Core Gallic systems of Ille De France, Languedoc and Orkney. This is just my personal encounters over the last couple weeks, I am sure there will be an order of magnitude more of these recorded by other Maquisards. If these are controlled by some strange entity, it should be crystal clear that they are well entangled within The Union itself as they follow it's standard agenda. You will notice that they act 100% congruent with the rest of The Gallic Navy, flying side by side with other Gallic Navy and GNI factions, following orders and throwing the same threats as the rest of the Royal collaborating m*rdes. If they are infected, so is the rest of The Gallic Navy.

Whether they are controlled by these aliens as you say doesn't change much for us. We will burn them, if it would mean the Royals and their die hard collaborators will be gone - we will burn their families and all they own too if necessary. Thanks to your information we will make doubly sure there there will be nothing left from our enemies' bodies but the charred remnants of flesh on their bare broken bones, to assure not only their deaths but also the end to any possible infection.

Do your little research, search for your information - if you trust the Gallic Navy and Union after the clear evidence we have sent you, needless to say, you will be no friend of mine and I will go ahead and doubt your motives. We will hit The Navy hard, infested or not. In my eyes, even with what you have said they are still the bigger threat to humanity than your enemy, capable of gassing their allies and wiping out billions overnight. And now it's crystal clear The Union might be also be riddled with Alien influence. This will only inrease our zeal, and if you join us in our plight - hey, you won't see me complaining.
