While through my travels through the Cortez system, BAF|A-HMS-Majestic , brought to my attention that my ship has illegal hardware installed. Since that my part time job with OS&C brings me to all corners of Sirius, I'd like to have a smooth flight within Bretonian space. The Captain of the Majestic suggested I'd send a communication to you in hopes of getting a license for my ship arranged. Taking a look through the Neural Net dashboard, it seems there's no page for license requests. Mayhaps you could help me out with this. . .

Good evening I am Commander Kingston, The Armed Forces Majestic would be correct. The Bustard Carrier is in fact illegal without a license under law 4.6. So its a good thing you reached out to us when you did. The only way to register your vessel is to contact us directly. So your on the right track so far. We will need a copy of your Identification and we need to see your reputation sheet before we can proceed. We also advise you to look at law 4.7 to ensure you dont have Jump Drives or Survey Modules if you do then you will also need to apply here to use those special equipment's as well.

To begin, I should probably ask why the Bustard Carrier is illegal within your space. I've had no issues flying through the other houses. Do not mistake this question for me complaining, I'm just curious to why the law exists. Now, onto the information for my license, below I have listed the hardware I have installed, as you mentioned Jump Drives and Survey Modules in your last transmission. I hope this info-card of my ship will be satisfactory in gaining a license. . .

Questions are welcome when applying for a license. The Bustard is illegal because the Crown has set them to be so. It is not my place to question the will of the Crown only to enforce the laws that have been set in place. You are more than welcome to put your query to the Kingdom of Bretonia but I expect a short wait for a response as there are pressing matters that are being taken care of.
Thank you for reporting your special equipment you have on board. There is a slight issue I should mention. To use these items you must be registered here. Which requires a different application through that channel. As for your Bustard I see no reason not to allow it into Bretonia especially under the condition that it remains unarmed. Since this is the way you like to travel I see no reason for this method to change. Should you wish to be armed just inform us here and we will update that information.
Do you have anymore questions?

I'm a firm believer that carrying weapons causes problems, so you don't have to worry about me in that regard. I have never carried any weapons, and I never will. As you say, that the Crown has more pressing matters to deal with, I won't bother them by throwing more onto their plate. I have visited the Neural Net page you sent, and it looks like the type of license I'd like to apply for is renewal-based. Would it be possible to pay a higher fee and gain the green light to legally use all my hardware permanently within Bretonia? . .

The Bretonian Office of Jumpdrive and Hyperspace Scanning Registry and Reporting is undergoing some changes so I suppose we can start with Permanent license. We offer mainly renewals due to the possibility of the license being revoked should the license holder be caught breaking our laws. If you feel confident that you and those you jump will never break any Bretonian Law I suppose we can make an exception in this case and see how it goes. Seeing as you have Both a Jump Drive and a Survey Module you will need both licenses. The Survey Module is a one time payment of 50 million. The Jump Drive is a renewal of 250m Credits every three months. I am willing to allow a permanent license for the Jump Drive and the Survey Module for 500m Credits. This effectively cancels out the one time payment of 50m credits for the survey module.
There is a catch to this. If you are caught breaking our laws depending on the severity we still reserve the right to revoke your licenses.
If you agree to these terms send the payment of 500m Credits to BPA)Cravenshire. Then your licenses will be valid. This is an exclusive License we are offering since you are the first to ask about it. We likely wont entertain another request like this again.

Many thanks, Kingston. You are very generous to offer this one-time permanent license to me. I do accept the conditions you have set.
At this time, I am not in a good position to wire over 500,000,000. However, if this offer still stands in a few days, I can scramble enough to send over. It's my hope that this offer isn't time sensitive.
Thank you again, Kingston. I'll send a future communication with an update to my financials. . .

Seems my Freelancer work has given me enough to pay the fee! BPA)Cravenshire has been wired over the fee of 500,000,000 credits.
I would also like to say, I had a rather interesting conversation with one of your subordinates. It's within this conversation that I offer doing work for the Crown, using my hardware to help you better protect and serve. My black box data below will have our conversation, I'll send off a communication under this frequency with more details in the near future. For now, my fee is paid and I'll be flying smoothly in Bretonia! Thank you again for your generosity, Kingston. Much appreciated, and I hope to meet you in space someday. . .

NX-01: Leon: Hail, BPA vessel!
[BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Good evening, Freelancer.
NX-01: I'm waiting for Alfred Kingston.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: I'm Kingston's subordinate. I was informed of your vague inquiry.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: You're welcome to present it to me - and i'll make sure it doesn't go unnoticed.
NX-01: Leon: Oh? I was asked to hand it over straight to him.
NX-01: Leon: Suppose he's busy if he's sent you.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: That's impossible, i'm afraid. Nor right now, nor in the near future.
NX-01: Leon: Fair enough, well I have some credits to send his way, for a license I sent over on the Neural Net.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Ah, that.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: No worries, i'll make sure they reach the recipient in full.
NX-01: Leon: He gave me two weeks to scramble the funds, and I managed to get it.
NX-01: Leon: So here I am, thought I'd see him in person to hand it over. I guess this'll do.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Very good. He'll pleased to hear about that.
NX-01: Leon: I have a few questions before I pay.
NX-01: Leon: If you don't mind.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Do ask them.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: I assume it's only justified.
NX-01: Leon: Reading through your laws regarding the license I've applied for...
NX-01: Leon: With my equipment, I'll need escorts to scan certain areas of the system?
NX-01: Leon: Surely I can be trusted to behave considering the generosity of your superior.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: That really depends on the area you plan taking scans of.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: There's only one... ah, excuse me - two areas in Bretonia that are strictly off limits for civilian traffic.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: The rest is only a matter of security.
NX-01: Leon: I only plan to scan New London's area. Keep up with orbital changes.
NX-01: Leon: So I may return here when needed.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: You're welcome to do so anytime, as long as proper licenses are acquired and are on database.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: But the latter - as in, the red tape - is our concern.
NX-01: Leon: This next thing is something both the Police and perhaps Navy too would be interested in.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Surely you don't need babysitters or you don't plan on bringing an entire cannibal fleet forth.
NX-01: Leon: Bring a fleet of wha- No! My jump drive's warp field only surrounds my ship. Self contained.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Alright, alright, don't freak out like this.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Presumption of innocence still exists.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: But anyway - what was that offer you mentioned?
NX-01: Leon: To extend my services to the crown, by way of scanning Bretonian space. To help you better protect and serve.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Well, i must admit it's an admirable initiative, and, of course, the most welcome.
NX-01: Leon: Surely you have the hardware and personell to do this yourself. However it wouldn't hurt to have help.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Also, mhm... given the recent funding increase for the police i'm sure we'll be able to sort out some compensation for your-
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: -efforts.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: That you'll have to talk out with my superiors.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: But i've got a feeling we're on the same page on the subject.
NX-01: Leon: Tell them we had this conversation at least, I'll send a communication later with more details.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: I'll make sure to let them know.
NX-01: Leon: As for compensation for my service, I have something in mind... however I'll save it for the communication.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Smart. No need to banter about it in open space.
NX-01: Leon: See? We are on the same page.
NX-01: Leon: It looks like we'll work together very nicely.
NX-01: Leon: Granted if my services are needed.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: I'm sure any help will be appreciated.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: If i understand correctly you offer hyperspace coordinates.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Which are potentially very useful for fast response.
NX-01: That's correct.
NX-01: Leon: That's right.
NX-01: Leon: Or the use of my Hyperspace Beacon... which may be a little more difficult to use in co-ordination with your vessels.
NX-01: Leon: But it's there nonetheless
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: The Armed Forces might find their use for it, actually.
NX-01: Leon: That's very good to know.
NX-01: Leon: To be honest, I sent the very same proposal to Liberty and they shot it down.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Well, i rarely cross the military and couldn't say if they have similiar equipment or not.
NX-01: Leon: Too proud to accept help from a Freelancer.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Liberty is a god damn pot of greed.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Iffy about sharing even a little bit of their credits.
NX-01: Leon: I mention that because I'm happy to hear a good response from you about this.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Bretonians are proud, but their pride lies in other things.
NX-01: Leon: Alright, I think I've put this off long enough.
NX-01: Leon: I agreed to 500m for the special one-time license fee.
NX-01: Leon: Does that match your records?
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Give me a moment to confirm.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Indeed, that matches our records.
NX-01: Leon: Wonderful. I'll transfer the funds over the short range secure channel.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: However, it also appears that commander have provided you with an actual account to direct the funds to.
NX-01: Leon: Yes, he has.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: That'd be BPA)Cravenshire, as Kingston himself stated.
NX-01: Leon: I thought this conversation would be with him, and I would have handed it to him.
NX-01: Leon: Safer to send it over subspace, or hand it to you?
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: I believe our channels would be safer, so i'll take them from you and redirect to where they belong through our internal-
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: -network.
NX-01: Leon: Ah, seems my Science Officer Albert has already wired the funds over.
NX-01: Leon: He never listens.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: My, it sure wouldn't hurt to introduce some discipline to the crew.
NX-01: Leon: Old friends, old habits.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: True, true. Can't teach new tricks to the old dog.
NX-01: Leon: *chuckles* I'm enjoying this.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Anyway, should you venture into less secure space - contact nearest patrol and they'll provide you with escort.
NX-01: Leon: More entertaining and interesting chatting to Bretonians than the Libertonians.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Libertonians are short-minded and stubborn.
NX-01: Leon: You can say that again.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Prideful to excessive extent.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: That obscures their vision.
NX-01: Leon: Seems this is the end of it for today.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Seems so.
NX-01: Leon: Sorry, I didn't catch your name.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Elizabeth Frederica Beurling.
Gateway|-GSV-Alexter: Greetings
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Hail, Gateway captain.
NX-01: Leon: Hail, Gateway vessel.
NX-01: Leon: Mind if I call you Liz?
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: That's a little too informal so soon, but you do you.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: I don't really mind.
NX-01: Leon: Not a big "title" person. I'd like to call people by their name.
NX-01: Leon: Alright, well I'll take my leave. Please let your superiors know about what we said here today.
NX-01: Leon: I'll contact them soon.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: I'll make sure to let them know ahead of regular bureaucracy channels.
BPA)JrCon.E.F.Beurling: Stay safe, Leon.
NX-01: Leon: You too. Godspeed.
