Nothing will ever convince me that flying your enemies colours, style and tech is not cringe. Like I said earlier, since we're degrading the server, you might as well make guns open tech cell, or turn the server into pvp 24/7 lmao.

Once there is a suitably large variety of "cool" generic engines then faction specific ones might be locked again!

You have the power!
Actually, even if I make 9 million engines, it's still the admins control in the end. Always has been.

All this thread does is reaffirm that the way the majority of people have treated engines for the last 9 years is, in fact, the system that's in place. Enough with the final nail talk

That isn't final nail talk. That's "putting the nail" in talk. It's a process of headed towards degradation.
Remove the ability for people to progress and they will grow tired of the game. Give them everything, and they will be acclimated to it and become jaded. Everything is available. No sense of pride, no sense of progression... No sense of development.
It will bother me severely that even if I make a load of generic open-cell stuff that the Staff may not actually guarantee to change their minds.
God forbid we actually treat a Roleplay Server with a sense of Roleplay.
You know, the only person I have ever seen use engines as laws breach/FR4 or at least inquire about it, is you
And me on my LPI, while having coalition engines myself.
You might be the only person affected, others can still rp,people with other lines can still fine, heck you can do it in Kansas and Vespucci yourself on Auxo.
They just won't gain attack lines because someone wanted a different colour thruster.

You'd be shocked on how many people agree with my sentiment if you ever mingled with other playerbases.
Agreeing with your sentiment is one thing, but actual usage in-game is another - you really are the only one I've ever seen try to use this to actually gain attack lines who can't use it now in the actual game
And this is all it is - 99.5% of people treated them how they will be treated now, it's just got confirmation on that in writing imo.

Yes, yes, I know you and others like having things handed out on a platter, but that's just the way how it is. We make it too easy, the game becomes boring. Your vague statement of against the person becomes irrelevant when we speak for the masses, not your personal opinion against the person. No matter how much you will squirm about "but person A does this, person B does this... " , this ''change'' is not for the best. We do not introduce items to the game only to say they are OORP.
Yet. For some godly reason, IDs are ENTIRELY IC. What a strange set of priorities.
