First time using this equipment... Hello? This thing better be working.
Rex speaking, I have had the pleasure of speaking to one of your members on Planet Houston a while ago. The kind gentleman sold me an Albatross-Class transport to us Starfliers for small trading jobs and the like. I'm happy to inform you that I've made multiple rounds around the houses, selling Tea, Sake, Liberty Ale and the like between the capitals, really putting in the time to learn how to fly Gullwing. Right about now, I'm pretty used to flying a ship of this weight and mass. Might be ready for a bump in skill and training. We've recently acquired a transport to use that's a little bigger than the Albatross. From the looks of it, I'd say it's built by the Junkers or something. The computer calls the ship a "Retrofit Transport" and the manufacturing dates for all the components have been scrubbed. Anyways, the vessel is docked at Bay 03 on our Base in Kepler until we can confidently pilot it. I hear your transport captains go through training scenarios inside your virtual sims. Would it be possible for us Starfliers to pay to learn how to manage and fly say... a 3.5k cargo vessel? I know 5,000 cargo vessels exist, however a too big of a jump in cargo like that will probably result us in failing the tests.
What do you say? Feel like putting us through some training? . .
I do remember you, rather well, from the meeting and business we conducted on Planet Houston, in Texas not all that long ago. I'm pleased that Gullwing is serving it's required purpose that you had of it. They're an extremely capable, yet dependable transport and that particular one had server Universal for a long time as a training vessel for our Logistics Department. So it's great to hear that the old girl is still doing well.
As for the training that you're looking for, we do indeed have the very latest in training simulators that all of our transport and even security pilots must qualify before they're clear to take their own vessels out in to space. They're actually rather uniquely designed and we have a large catalogue of data discs and programs that we can run and simulate the virtual cockpit and handling characteristics of just about any ship you could think of. So I've taken the liberty of having a quick look to see if we can match something to your specific requirements, and it looks like we've got exactly what you're looking for. Have to say, you don't see many of those, if at all, anymore!
Now, on to the finer details. We normally run our trainee pilots in the simulators for a month. So I would recommend that we put your pilots through the same, unless you'd wish them to remain for longer? Also, I have to ask how many people you would like to go through the program? We have limited numbers of simulators within our suite.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Aha, Charles! It has been a while. Massive thanks for being able to grant me my first Transport ship! Gullwing will be kept in great shape, and won't be changing hands again. Despite us moving up in terms of pilotable crafts, we'll still be keeping Gullwing operational. It's almost like your first credit, keeping it safe, display it, remember where you came from, that sorta deal. That's how I see the ship. Now, on to these training sims. I'm anxious to try them out.
You're able to program in any class of ship in these sims? I'm curious, is the Enterprise-Class Liner available? I think Leon is looking at obtaining one for us, could be something that may interest him. But I digress. Leon, Halpert and myself will be taking up the training, as we are the only pilots for Starfliers. Having us all obtain equal training and skills will help us get our jobs done in case one of us can't. Now, you say a month in training? Is this an 8-hour-a-day deal over the course of a month? Where do we go to put ourselves through these simulations? I'll need all the information now so we can make time to organise ourselves. If there's any form of payment to use these sims too, I'll need the amounts and accounts. Maybe I'll grab Gullwing and make a few rounds of the House's refreshments to lessen the blow of this training. Once we have all this info, we will be in contact for further steps. . .
That's quite alright, you've very welcome. Like I said on Houston, she was just sitting around and if anything, you saved us from using up the mooring dock and the expenses of servicing her. Not that we minded. She was, as you describe, quite the trophy ship of the logistical fleet.
Now, back to the sims. Yes, we can indeed program the simulator with a vast array of vessels and as of a few months ago, we started up a small liner group of out own. Those, of course, being the Enterprise class, so that is something else we could potentially look at further down the line. So if you let Leon know that's something we could additionally provide, that would be great. Right, to the details, okay for the duration of this training, the three of you will have to come to Trenton Outpost, in New York. Under normal circumstances, when training our own pilots, this is done in a regimented style - in that it's 8 hours a day, with breaks, and they're living in Trenton for that month. It's essentially a crash course, if you would. This being said, you are your own company so I'm not sure to the how, where and when's of your business practices, so I would foresee that being an issue. With that said, we can be flexible. At present the simulation suite isn't used as we've no trainee's going through, so we could perhaps stretch this over a longer timescale? Entirely up to yourselves. As for costings, as I did a deal with you on the Gullwing then I shall do the same here, though this isn't normally considered to be a standard practice of Universal. Shall we say a flat 10 million credits, per pilot - how does that sound? That can be made payable to our deposit account via [*USI*]Deposit.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Leon has been notified and he's very interested in learning how to fly one through your training sims. As for right now, we'll take the Retrofit Transport program on board Trenton Outpost. Leon has also been informed that 30,000,000 credits will need to be set aside. We only have a handful of orders left and then we can close shop for a few weeks. Our company is small, we have the luxury at the moment to shut things down and resume when we've finished the training. We'll be taking the full crash course over a month. If needed, we'll stay an extra few days to temper our piloting skills. In a few days, you'll find the credits sitting in the account you have provided.
Excellent. Well, once you do and the transfer has been cleared by our Treasury Department then you can, at your leisure, come on over to Trenton and we'll get the ball rolling. Now, I should probably say that this training doesn't have to cover exactly a month, just as long as you're all comfortable with the size and mass of the Retrofit, but that is of course at your discretion.
Perhaps myself and the rest of the Executive Administration team will get a chance to see you all in person, soon.
Until then, my friend.

We will take as much time as we need to make sure we master... master? That's too strong of a word. Make sure we are comfortable and confident to fly the Retrofit Transport and any other civilian and border worlds transports of the same mass and size. You'll find the payment for our training sitting in the designated account. Starflier Base has been supplied with a few resources to stay running for a while. The 600 or so crew on board will manage things while Leon, Halpert and myself make our way over to Trenton.
