So, is your goal behind prohibiting freelance Helium-3 miners to keep the sigmas totally dead? I even offered to pay for a temporary permit and your guy still said no.
I must second this sentiment - it seems when people try to make Sigmas have some activity there is often pressure to just ...make it stop with both in-game and oorp pressure.
I was even called out publicly by a prominent member for "trolling" when attemting to make the Sigma systems alive by implementing someone else's idea (with permission) and thinking it through with feedback from multiple people over a long period before implementing it. I heard the same pointed out by others that played in the region.
Wouldn't the Sigma regions having more activity benefit your faction? I mean you get reasons to log and get far without AFK sitting in systems. It's just hard to get my head around as Shawn has pointed out - having activity is a good thing no?
Why do you choose to act this way @Mephistoles , leader of the GMG? You ignore every single attempt at Role Play in the Sigma's (ignored Cryer's RP with you an entire month and then magically appear the day after a POB appears in the Sigmas and declare siege, without any attempt at Role Play, and if you try to pull the "well that the rules" , it is a disgusting loophole that should be addressed for those that are genuinely trying to facilitate gameplay, story direction, and healthy interest in a very old game).
Our efforts are for bringing activity, interest and RP to a npc faction that a group of us find cool, explore its various avenues of gameplay and faction interaction and you and your little friends only log to stifle that.
Our faction has happily handed out nearly a billion credits in the last 24 hours (paying mining ore rates for pob commodities to generate interest) and interacted with a host of people from various factions, including RP'ed escorts, convoys etc and you even have the audacity to answer our month old request to obey your factions rules (in which you drool on about how good friends our factions are, not even mentioning our base) and then run off to the Siege declaration 3 hours later??
"...our friends at Cryer"
"...If The Guild may assist the repairs to Atka Research Station, please do not hesitate to advise us of such."
"...GMG is a firm supporter of your organisation's work"
I invite one and all to enjoy the time stamps for his two posts even:
Your faction is utterly dead due to multiple people citing how toxic this behavior is, so much so that you have become a legendary meme of toxicity, but unfortunately there is no clear cut rule to report it on.
Your "gameplay" is truly vile and without any crumb of decency, and I would venture to say you have no business retaining a position of Moderator, as you are by no means an example of how members of this community should interact with each other.
But this honestly seems more like a mistake? Or maybe you forgot to post to the necessary GMG base registration thread and Mep wants to follow the rules to the letter?
Agreed on the ignoring part though. It's outright rude to leave people hanging for a month. A polite PM with "Sorry, busy IRL" should be minimum etiquette.
His faction is dead, and he has no means to actively enforce his own rules. His sieging is literally only him shooting at the base in the middle of a night with an SRP cap. Just get two-three people with Corsair IFFs and wipe him out, he'll get what he deserves. Mep has no interest in upkeeping server health - he's just fueling his perpetual OCD for the faction he made back in the days and he's too deep in his own insanity.
GMG has historically had a zero tolerance policy for third parties trying to build anything in the Sigmas. I'm not sure why people keep doing it and pulling a surprised Pikachu, this is literally one of the most consistent trends in Discovery at this point.
