I have found the Sirian Hans of {DHC}Charlottenburg heading to New Paris, a Gallic Navy controlled planet, with a full shipment of uncut diamonds.
The pilot was mre than reasonable - just a man making a living, he understood I can't let him do that. Instead I escorted him the Montecarlo Freeport using out of the way passages as an altgernative sell point.

Looks like the icy planet in the newly discovered system is not as lifeless as we thought. One of the aggressive animals we followed from Roussillon revealed that there might be a nest or a hiding spot of sorts of theirs there.

Bonjour,
During today's flight, Boucher and I found a lone GNI agent lurking around the lanes in Zurich. Boucher began to interrogate the agent while I took the opportunity to spread some propaganda.
After that, things got heated quickly and the GNI agent begun to open fire. The agent was taken down quickly but at the expense of Boucher's ship. While retrieving his escape pod, there was some weapons that I can only assume was from the debris of the GNI agent's ship. Scanners were unable to recognize it's signature and were the first I've ever seen.
Upon closer look, it was obvious that the weapons were man-made. What I did not understand was the glowing light that was struggling to find its way past the plates. It rapidly moved along the exterior as if it was alive, displaying similar properties to the ones emitted by the aliens spotted in Orkney.
It seems that the Gauls have gotten their hands onto alien materials during their recent incursions. If given enough time, the Gaul's research will allow them to cook up even larger weapons of mass destruction after fully achieving integration with our own and produce other hybrid weapons such as these on a bigger scale.
We cannot have that happen.
I will be bringing these back to our people and have them study it, hopefully they can find a way to reproduce them and have our ships refitted to make use of the devastating firepower of the aliens.
The newly discovered remote system was today christened "Limousin". Preparations are underway to make it the Maquisard "Plan B" if something goes wrong in Roussillon. Feel free to refer to it as such from this point forward.

I encountered a Kusari naval vessel in Tau-31. I was expecting to shove a torpedo up his engines, but surprisingly that did not happen. Even with all the threats and insults that he had thrown at me. He even wanted some information about Gallia, so I handed him some of our propaganda material. In the end, he threatened to blow up my ship if I did not cooperate with him. He wanted me to be a source of intelligence for his forces. Right, as if. Didn't seem like there was anything of benefit to us. However, he said he wasn't a "rank and file" officer, and would offer intel in return. So fine, I agreed and we parted ways. See attached logs.
Even more strange, was a Bretonian Armed Forces transport passed by as well. Nothing remarkable came out of that though. Probably could have put a torpedo up its engines had the Kusarian not shown up.

There really wasn't much intel that the Kusarian could provide that we did not know already. We work with the Dragons and they already provide a substantial amount of information. This "not a rank and file officer" would be more valuable in an escape pod and we could offer him to the Dragons. They can torture him or exchange him or whatever they do. I set up a meeting with this Kusarian naval officer. We were originally going to meet in Tau-23 but some sniffers showed up and messed everything up - as usual. We ended up meeting in Tau-29. Brought Hunter along too so we can easily capture him. Turns out this Kusarian wasn't as stupid as I thought - he brought backup as well. This fight ended well - kind of. I managed to blow up my own ship but Hunter dispatched both of them and reeled everyone in. Excellent! Now we have two Kusarian naval officers to send to the Dragons. I'm sure they would be pleased and this would strengthen our alliance.
Some sniffers showed up during the fight. I didn't pay too much attention to them, but Hunter may have more to say about that.
