I'm sorry, scorn, but there are pieces of your RP that I just don't understand. They don't make sense to me in the context of my imaginary world, so I ignore them. I've argued that the ship does not seem freelancerish, and tried to explain why. For the record, I do think the Talarca is freelancerish. Jinx began this thread with a statement about possible unfreelanceresque elements, and thats what I was addressing.

I was sort of liking seeing a really elegant and original ship design by Jinx added to the game and one that enhances a "presence" (the Harvesters) that a lot of other players really resonate with.

Don't know how it turned into a judgment fest but its a nice ship and would look great in the game.

You seem civil here I might have been rash.

I just have to say I am hyper sensitive to the "you haven't been here long enough for anything cool" additude. As folks seem for more willing to tear someone down and are no where to be seen for encouragement.

This is damage control. With all the info cards getting changed and IDs getting swapped about, I have a duty to my membership to make sure that where they invest thier recreation is properly represented.

In fact the only folks I've had a problem with are........ no, I'm not going there, not here.

Ill take a nap and come back to this.

I disagree.
While it is a very nice ship, and I commend Jinx for yet another amazing design, I don't feel that it is a freelancer ship. I want very much to maintain a specific feeling in the ships I might see in freelancer, and that holds nothing that I can identify with as freelancerish, regardless of the possible bretonian elements...It reminds me of a squid, and I dislike it. The feel, for me, is much like adding a manga character to a graphic novel...the art is wrong.

Yes, Unselie, but you have already stated your opinion, and it only counts as much as anyone's.
Repeating it so others have to read 3 pages of all the same stuff will only affect those who need to give their opinion.
It's called brainwashing.

Also, no need for you two to start flaming here, everyone has a right to think as he/she wish, without being repressed for it.

Well, to be honest, chopper, the goal isn't to express my opinion, its to persuade other people to come around to it, in an effort to not see that ship in the game, which is the end goal of my opinion. I'm setting out to make the game better, (which = the way I think it should be). I don't think what I'm doing is brainwashing, I view it as a valid persuasive tactic.

Perhaps I'm filibustering the topic, but everyone has the floor, and nowhere does anyone say I have no right to defend my position, or apply it to every post made against it. For the record, I've said I dislike it twice, and once explained myself to scorn, and now again to you. The second time, I posted because tinkerbell wondered why people needed to judge the ship.

No, you're repressing me.
