I take it Revenant hasn't debriefed you on me yet. I command a Condor-class, not an Inquisitor-class. As for the equipment I'll continue using, I'd prefer to use standard equipment available to Auxo - makes things less complicated for everybody involved if anything on my ship ever requires repairs.
I shall head towards Freeport 14 in my earliest convenience.
Multiple of your people have already been retrieved and granted safe harbor with our forces, but time is running short. If you want your out, we're organizing an exfil op for the Yorktown within the next two days. If you aren't there, I cannot guarantee we will be able to help you at a later date.
Won't lie, when I first heard that Auxesia had contacted the remnant force in bulk, I figured things were finally ending. 'Why after all this time are they only now offering a hand? Knight's been gone for so long, it can't have still been her, right?' I thought. I surely had to be losing my mind. After finally finding time to read up, it makes a lot more sense.
Why would they be interested in helping us, when they could help themselves to our remains?
I think I'd be insulted if it wasn't your MO, and in a way it's almost poetic. Still, probably gonna be a bit tilted to know that West took a bunch of R&D's projects with her when they left, among other things. Doubt there's much groundbreaking stuff still remaining, but who knows? I've been on the garrison for months now.
Consider this a solid negative from me and mine, though. Whoever wanted out got out with West when they could, and the rest of us are determined to make the Navy bleed for every inch they take. A lot of those remaining are. We owe it to those we lost in Bering, and to those we've lost here.
And you be sure for those who take you up on your offer that you treat them right, or I'm gonna haunt every last one of you.
I understand your cynical view of the situation. Considering you are committed to sticking it out in Vespucci, you don't have much to be optimistic about. With your remaining time, you are free to ask those of your comrades who took up the offer how they feel they have been treated by us; we have no intention to go back on our word. I would also recommend meditation during what little free time you may have.
