Reporting on the events of today (yesterday for some of you).
So, for those of you who noticed, there was some good training in Connecticut today. Thank you Joey/Madvillain, and Melander.
After that, Lancehead, Canebreak, and I went out hunting in Colorado. There were many Engagements, some successful, some not so successful, but good fighting from everyone, and may gunboats be cursed for all eternity (except ours of course).
:::Enemy engaged:::
Engagement location: Colorado
Ship Type: Transport
IFF: none
Outcome: DESTROYED by XA-Canebreak, 4890 Boron recovered by Lancehead who switched to a Freighter temporarily.
Evidence: available upon request
:::Enemy engaged:::
Engagement location: Colorado
Ship Type: Transport
IFF: none
Outcome: DESTROYED by XA-Silekar.Dravin (AKA Egg-Eater)
Evidence: available upon request
Notes: This guy was a thief, justly destroyed for stealing and attempting to flee afterwards (who knew a nova made such a beautiful explosion when combined with a thief).
:::Enemy engaged:::
Engagement location: Colorado
Ship Type: Heavy Fighter
IFF: none
Outcome: DESTROYED by XA-Canebreak
Evidence: available upon request
Notes: Escorted the transport thief, got ripped up real quick.
:::Enemy engaged:::
Engagement location: Colorado
Ship Type: Very Heavy Fighter
IFF: Bounty Hunter
Outcome: Fled from
Evidence: available upon request
Notes: Engaged before Gunboat arrived, see Gunboat notes below for further information on the encounter...
:::Enemy engaged:::
Engagement location: Colorado
Ship Type: Gunboat
IFF: Bounty Hunter
Outcome: Fled from
Evidence: available upon request
Notes: When the gunboat joined the fight, XA began a tactical retreat. Canebreak and Lancehead were forced to eject, but Silekar managed to escape the enemies. Also, an independent Xeno by the name of Poldolski joined us temporarily, but was destroyed by the bounty hunters when he went against them alone.
:::Enemy engaged:::
Engagement location: New York
Ship Types: Two Junker Snubs, and one Junker Gunboat
IFF: All Junkers
Outcome: One Snub killed by XA-Lancehead, all XA eventually ejected.
Evidence: available upon request
Notes: At first, there was only one junker, then there were three, and the XA ejected one by one as the junker gunboat and his Snub allies overpowered us.
After the Junker fight, we all went our separate ways, and I teamed up with an independent Xeno by the name of Starlighter. We hit some transports, Starlighter destroying one who refused to talk or stop. We also received a donation from a sympathetic Universal Shipper. My half of the donation went to the XA Bank, while Starlighter saved his half for a Mark 8 Armor Upgrade. I also have two Big Game Path event write-ups to put in from my time with Starlighter, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. This pilot needs to rest.
Good work everyone,
Egg-Eater

Joshua, reporting in on some of the recent action in the Colorado system.
I hooked up with Rattler around Ouray a couple of days ago and we decided to do some 'customs' checks around the NY jumpgate. On the way we met up with a ship Starlighter with a Xenos ID. Rattler extended an invitation to join us, and he accepted. After we had hung around the gate for a while, XA-Anaconda showed up, to help us out. Soon after that, a ship called Keio, a freelance Camara freighter carrying 628 basic alloy from Texas. (didn't catch what base) to Severn, Ontario. Since it was purely Liberty, we let it go. Soon after that, a Junker named USS_ARAGOZA appeared, and refused to stop or respond to our hails. :nono:It was warned and after a chase was promptly destroyed. We then went back to the NY Jumpgate. Soon, a police vessel appeared, and after a brief standoff, a Rheinland fighter (named Kriegsphilosophie of all things) appeared and engaged the police, which had then been joined by a navy ship. Things snowballed after that, with ships entering left and right, combatants and non combatants. When a Liberty Siege Cruiser showed up though, Rattler wisely called a retreat, saying that it is all well and good to die for the Xeno cause, but to die with out an aim was pointless. We than retreated back up the jump lane to Ouray, but as we got to Ouray, we encountered a Rogue VHF named Muratti.Rosso . Soon into the fight, I got hit with a salvo, after running into a mine, and my ship had emotional problems... Rattler tractered my pod in, and promptly vaporized the rogue. After returning my pod to Ouray, I stayed behind, because there were no eagles left, and the next one in from Nome was four hours out.:angry2:Over the comms, I heard that the rest of the group, which now included XA-Silekar.Dravin and XA-Venom, cornered the transport Ted_Prescott, which was carrying 3401 Kyushu rice to Pennsylvania. When ordered to drop his cargo, he 'misinterpreted' the orders Rattler gave him, and dropped only enough cargo to fill a fighter's cargo bay... Venom turned him into particles on the spot. Before I logged off the comms that night, I heard that the group chased down a freelance cardamine trader, Max_Tyler, which Anaconda promptly destroyed, because Xenos don't have no truck with trash like Cardamine. Then I called it a night.
Here come the reports on Colorado Big Game, as promised. These two traders were encountered while I was flying with Starlighter.
Target: Transport.Galveston, no affiliation, Universal Shipping ID
Cargo: Mixed and nowhere near capacity. (Nothing worthwhile - Screen here - picasaweb.google.com/118388966437439004810/ColoradoBigGamePathsEvent#5762250675446102674)
Ship Type: Bison class transport
Destination: Pueblo Station to rest for the night. Normally he goes all over Sirius, transporting trade lane parts for Ageira.
Notes: Donated to XA, claiming to sympathize (look in previous report for records of where the credits went).
Target: Timothy_Wijk, no affiliation, Universal Shipping ID
Cargo: Plutonium (4193)
Ship Type: Bison class transport
Destination: Harrisburg
Notes: Came in offering to pay us (called us the border patrol), naturally, we declined. After that, he tried to talk his way out, claiming that his Plutonium powers Liberty Nuclear Reactors. Regardless of whether it really would have or not, he openly admitted trading in Kusari goods, claiming he really didn't have a choice. Eventually, I grew tired of his machinations and ordered him to drop his cargo. He dropped the cargo, and blew it up too. As a result of this rudeness, I recommend we disable all of his weapons and leave our names scorched across his hull the next time he dares to pass through Colorado.

Yesterday night, I took the liberty of flying around in Colorado. There were a few police folks floating around, but no major traders were passing through. After running a few missions out of Ouray, I took a trip to Alabama and retrofitted my bomber. After that, I decided that Texas could use a little visit.
At the New York jumpgate, I noticed a neutral CSV with a freelancer ID jumping to Texas. His cargo hold was full of light arms. I followed him, and proposed a change of route to Colorado, and payment for those light arms. He was happy to oblige, and after dropping off the first shipment, he went back to New York, grabbed another shipment, and brought that one too. Afterwards, we had a talk about what the XA stands for, and then he headed out for the night, mentioning that he might make further shipments in the future.
Here is the first shipment (10:55 PM (MD)):
And here is the second shipment about 15 minutes later:
In total, 360 light arms were acquired for Ouray base in Colorado. Also, the trader's name was James_Dean.

Rattler here,
The day began by naming a ship I had just gotten the keys to- A Pelican we got a hold of. I chose the name 'Amargosa'. Suits it well. Taking it out for a spin, me, with a few others, went to the 'York gate as usual. A Bison showed after a bit- Loaded with Light Arms no less. It opened fire, trying to surprise us, but the group made quick work of it, Venom getting the last shot. When a LABC appeared soon after, I ran back to Ouray to secure at least some of the goods. Venom reportedly killed a fighter while I was absent. I dropped off the Arms to Ouray at this point, and set back out.
When I got back, the Navy had decided to show their face, in a large force. This was hectic- but from what I can tell, with possibly missing info, this is what happened.
A Junker (Probably fighter) was destroyed by Venom
The LSF fighter there was finished off by Massasauga
ma_ubica, Liberty Gunboat, was taken down by Anaconda
Adder was destroyed by Hale himself
The order to leave was given, and as I did my ship was disabled. After sitting on Ouray for a bit, listening to reports from the remaining members still flying, much duct tape was applied, and Adder and I proceeded to California while the rest of our group was busy. We met an Outcast who refused to drop fellow pilots on the way, so I burned him for them. Once in Cali, we happened across two freighters with full loads. After asking questions about their cargo, they opened fire, and we fought back. I managed to get both of the kills in the end. While at this point Adder had to leave, Anaconda came in to help me out. After sitting in California for quite awhile, a Navy bomber tried his luck against us. I made his ship go boom like the others. We both decided to move somewhere else, when an ion storm hit us. Deciding that was too much, we both called it a day.
***Kill List***
Anaconda- Liberty Gunboat
Rattler- One Outcast fighter, two Freelance freighters, a Navy bomber
Massasauga- LSF fighter
Venom- a Bison, a Fighter, a Junker (Fighter?)
(Kill list may be incomplete, I am also not reporting kills I was not there for.)
First off, the SRF gave me a heads up on incoming navy forces just outside of Ouray. Not sure why they were being helpful, but I appreciated the tip.
Second, three rookies wanting to be Xenos said hello at the trade-lane next to Ouray. They were all flying Kingfisher's with heavy starbeams and advanced stunpulses. That just would not do. I showed them around a bit, and we flew some missions together for Ouray so that the Xenos there would respect them. After a few missions, the rookies were all sporting shiny new suntigers and Xenos IDs.
At this time, we were still flying missions, when an LN showed up and demanded my surrender. I was willing to let him go, as I didn't want the rookies to have a fight with a possibly experienced fighter on their hands. Unfortunately, the LN refused to back down. The rookies were very happy to fight, though perhaps a bit too eager. I said "burn him boys," and the Navy guy had time to say "engaging," just before the concentrated fire of 3 Kingfisher's fully equipped with Suntigers vaporized him. I have to say, I've never seen a Navy boy vaporized so quickly.
After the Navy incident, I got separated from the group, and two LN guardians came for me. I tried to get them to back off, but they refused to stand down. I nearly dropped one of them, but my aim was a little off with that antimatter cannon, and my bomber couldn't take a really long fight (as it is, I think I spent half an hour running and shooting). In the end, I was out of bots and bats, and running fast through Colorado. The rookies I mentioned showed up at that time, and drew one of the Guardians away from me; it just so happened to be the more experienced pilot. Unfortunately, my ship was too damaged to afford me the opportunity to turn and fight again, though I was sure I could have taken the less-experienced pilot otherwise. In any case, a few nuclear mines scared him off my tail, allowing me to reach a trade lane and set a course for the Ames.
After docking there, I reviewed my flight recorder data in order to be certain that I had indeed seen what I thought I had seen earlier in the day, before the LN showed up. I also confirmed the sighting with the SRF pilot who had warned me about the Navy. While I was out with the rookies at Ouray, a Nomad ship shadowed us. No contact was made, and I was unable to get a good scan of the ship, seeing as I didn't want the rookies anywhere near it if it started a fight. I'm not sure what the Nomad was doing out by Ouray, but it spent an unusually long time on the edge of my scanner range. It's possible the alien was gathering intel on our installation. In either case, I recommend extreme caution should another Nomad enter the area. Something tells me that this isn't the last we've seen of them.

Lancehead here.
First of all, thank you for the reports, people.
One of my concerns is the so called SRF. I'd like to know who they are and what do they want so next time you see one of 'em, ask some questions.
Another thing is the nomad threat. Egg Eater's report combined with some other information I recieved yesterday from some Order operatives makes the situation look more and more grim. Keep your eyes open, people. Don't let any squid surprise you.
On another note, I have some things to report myself but I will have to recover the data from shot up memory banks first.
The following report may be a little fuzzy in places due to the server crashing before I could retrieve the data that my automatic recorders captured.
Today I (XA-Python, formerly Joshua Kent) met up with XA-Lancehead and XA-DeathAdder. Despite both of them being vastly superior in rank to me, they wanted me to get some valuable experience in command. ( I think they were just being lazy'¦)Once the three of us got together, we went to NY Jumpgate in Colorado, to perform some customs checks, and to do the Big game paths Event.We first encountered a Shire with a Universal ID that said it was saving up for a Liberty ship, perhaps a Buffalo. A Zoner fighter/freigter flew by, but we let him go. Seeing as how he wasn't bothering us. We noticed that he was carrying Rice, but he was gone before we could say something. We then let the Shire go, with a stern warning against foreign ships. Next came a Reds, a Kusarian Whale carrying Neon. He did have a recruit ID, and said he was gonna get a Liberty ID, don't remember which one, and a Liberty ship. Curse these bad memory banks! Anyway, we let him go to, after a stern warning.
Soon after that [99%]Spazzydragon and [99%]Ulfsark.Huskari came along, and also took up a position at the CO jumpgate. Soon, we had a chat with them about why they blew up a Liberty ship, which lead into a discussion of Xenos Ethics'¦ We did not agree with them, and I won't get into it all here. While we were discussing, a mining ship Malac, came along, and declined to stop. It was chased by both Xeno groups present, and [99%]Ulfsark.Huskari got in the killing shot. Soon after this, we decided to get away from the 99% guys, and I made the tactical decision to go into New York. XA-DeathAdder then experienced an unexpected engine problem and had to back out of the mission. It was my mistake to push us on into NY, with only two fighters'¦ I will never make that mistake again.
Outside Norfolk Shipyard, we encountered two empty DSE Transports one of them DSE)Kittyhawk. Also there was a Bounty Hunter Fighter. Lancehead engaged it, and didn't need my help, so I sat by and watched. Lancehead had the fight in the bag but ran over one of his mines'¦ Another BHG showed up, and both of them engaged me, and I died after a putting up a nice fight. Lancehead decided to end his fight then, but I flew around Colorado a bit longer, and encountered a Junker Bull Dog named Scraper2000. He bit the dust soon after our engagement started. The sever then crashed. I little later, I got on with my Waren, and stopped a crane outside the CO jumpgate. It was a freelancer, named risingsun:. It was carrying 2100 tourists from Curacao to somewhere in Kusari. It counts for the big game paths, because tourists take up 2 cargo space. It refused to drop it's cargo, so it got vaporized, and the tourists destroyed. I hope I made the right choice doing that. They had a quick death. I then landed at Ouray, to type up this report before my memory got bad.
[color=green]:::Establishing data channel... done:::
My report will be covering three different patrols.
A couple days ago, I killed a Democritus, with Orbital Spa & Cruise ID , name: Demi-Godman_ Carrying passangers, around 650 of them. It was around the Texas Jumpgate into New York. Asked him why he was trading not for Liberty, and he said get lost, before he called the navy on me... He never called the navy on me... Funny thing is, when I got out of the tradelane at Planet Houston, I got destroyed by a Navy Cruiser, Battleship, two gunboats, and about as many fighters as they could fit into a 2k radius... All NPCs too. A Pelican (Civilian Armored Transport named Ryan_Garnett got in my way in Pennsylvania, around Planet Erie. Carrying 700 Neon, he shouted XENOS!!! DIE!!!! and began shooting... He didn't last long against a Waren bomber.
Yesterday, I was waiting around the NY Jumpgate in Colorado, wanting to perform some 'customs' checks. Soon, an Arrastra named Frenchman22 came cruising through, with a BMM tag and ID. I ordered him to stop, and answer some questions, but he remained quiet and tried to escape to the New York Jump Hole. My eagle chased him down, and he didn't last long. A little later, in the same place, as I was flying my Waren bomber, a Liberty Siege Cruiser appeared. Name: LNS-Asteroid. We fought, I thought I was being suicidal, but he must not have been very good, becuase a while later, I got him with a Supernova Torpedo.
Today, I undocked from Ouray and came upon a Stork, name: Marduk. He said that his engines were dead, and that the 29 Xeno pilots in his hull were from self defense. I didn't buy a word of it, and after a short discussion, he was put out of action. All Xeno pilots were recovered and returned to Ouray. On my way to Alabama, a fighter named Vendetta approached me and asked if I wanted any help. It didn't get into my scanner range. I declined, saying I had business elsewhere.
Joshua Kent, Out.

Lancehead here.
We've done some nice job today with Rattler.
First, we decided to check the situation in New York. Right after jumping, we've came across some trader who opened fire on us right away. Destroyed.
When we were already moving to California, some other trader, named after some vegetable, insulted us in system channel. So we turned back to hunt him down. I took a route through Norfolk, Rattler - through Manhattan. While I got badly shot up by some 36th fighter near Norfolk, Rattler scored another kill.
We got back to Ouray.
At this moment, we decided that it's the best moment to bring out some heavier hardware. We took Liberty and Duct Tape - as a support. I commanded the Liberty while Rattler took care about the repair ship.
We have also met some Hellfire Legion bomber pilot who asked us for permission to visit Alabama and buy one of our Warans. Soon after, he contacted us and informed about a junker gunboat near Pueblo. As we didn't want to meet some Navy battleships near that station, we decided that the Hellfire guy will act as a bait.
It worked even better than expected. Not only the gunboat came to us but also a junker frigate. Both were destroyed after quite spectacular fight. First - the frigate - destroyed by Hellfire bomber's SNAC. Soon after, his brand new Waran got blown up by the gunboat. I tractored him in and we finished off the Conference.
For such a great help, I promised the HF pilot that he'll get a replacement of this Waran - for free this time.
Some time later, we also got one Pelican refusing to stop.
As we didn't have any interceptor with us, it became really hard to get close to some transports. We were like a shark and remora in a pool full of herrings.
Anyway, we decided to dock on Ouray to drop the loot from transports and get back into some smaller ships. This time, I chose Grizzly and Rattler - Roc.
We decided to move to Ontario. Soon after taking the jumphole there, we came across some trader moving into Colorado. He refused to stop. That was his last time.
As Ontario was pretty quiet, we moved to California to intercept any supplies for Virginia's shipyards. We didn't have to wait long - a convoy of four Albatrosses jumped in and opened fire without a word. All destroyed.
Then, a bounty hunter gunship jumped in from New York - apparently escorting a rheinlander as right behind him, a big ALG transport jumped in. We attacked them but our firepower wasn't enough. Additionally, Rheinland battleship jumped in. I had to eject.
Rattler tractored my pod and returned me safely to Ouray.
