I just noticed quite a big loophole in this event...
3.2 - If a player docks in a Transport during a PVP encounter, they may remain in the system for the sole purpose of trading only. They may not attack anyone unless in self-defense. This restriction lasts for the PvP death period.
so if you intercept the shipment and player is PVP dead in transport he may still partecipate at event without risking to be touched? How does it make sense from event point of view? If its a race there are sabotages and interceptions, so me as corsair indie I can kill outcasts and anyone admiting in helping malta..... still they may continue to trade event commodities at will after being PVP dead just because of transport..... it doesnt sound right at all
In my opinion this issues has to be addressed asap!

If they dock, they are not counted as PvP Dead. They cannot then log another ship to attack anyone in that System for 1 hour.
If they continue to trade, there is nothing stopping you re-engaging them, in that System or any other.
If on the other hand you destroy their ship, they are PvP dead in that System for 1 hour and are allowed to leave the System unhindered.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
if a trader already managed to dock, it's already lost. transports and frigates with their HP buff and reduced weapon damage means you can no longer instakill them, unless you're flying a dreadnought with 4x heavy mortars, I guess.

You are right mate, it does make sense... so I can just dock repair undock and loop it all over again until the attacker doesnt get bored or friendly forces doesnt come to save you..... Awesome concept I may say... Why not exploit it with all neutral alligned pobs laying around. On the other hand pobs are great because if player accidentaly shoot it to prevent you from docking you can report it for firing on the pob without first declairing siege. What is the timer you can stay idled at any base before getting kicked.... Im asking for a friend! Plus now there is discord so you can ping the whole faction to save people....
Look Im not here to be rude okey and Im not trying that... the point is, it doesnt make any sense reengaging anyone after a dock......Plus in my opinion just for a duration of the event rules should be adjusted as follow> Transports are considere combat targets, docking while in pvp encounter is considered death, and your timer is 1h as for any other pvp encounter.
Point normal server rules in this event does not work, they are easily abused if someone is smart enough.
Why do you think outcasts are not venturing out of alpha to intercept corsairs transports simply because of this kind of rule.
If you want to invest the money and time into building PoBs all over the event route, you're free to try.
On a technical note, lets see if the server can handle them - with the new changes - NO! DO NOT DOT THIS! I AM NOT A DEV OR STAFF!
On a topic note, a CD to a PoB is not an attack - view rules - but it will trigger the shield so you can't dock.
On a balance note - Previous event transports were combat targets and got their /1/2 Pew Pew I keel you!; and Corsairs & OC have ID lines that allow them to do that to each other. Rest of the IDs involved do require some RP before deciding to /1/2.

Are you this sore because I escaped your mindless shooting on that pob, even after I told you I will reroute to Crete?
You really think transports like to spend time docked on a base waiting and wondering if you're still around instead of hauling their cargo? Try to see both perspectives of why this is the rule will ya?

You can stay indefinitely on a Base, without being kicked, if you know how to. Otherwise it is about 10 minutes.

Some you win, some you lose.
It is just a Game, not life or death. If the other person got away this time, then good luck to them. Their luck may run out next time.

You were clever and I liked that tbh ^^ Im looking here the bigger picture! You did indeed well! I logged off after that because I had some RL stuff to finish, still Im not home.... my point here is to shine a light on things that can and cannot be abused.... we want all to have fun and have as little illecite behavior as possible.
Ive been on this server for more less 10years by now, various factions, various accounts etc. and I saw all changes.... why do you think for example no one is pirating anyone (cuz of low yeald? No) back in the days it was fun to pirate people because or they comply or at least you have some sort of PvP encounter based on refusal of demand. Now honestly how many pirates you saw around none, because its not fun, with nerfed damage and large HP pull (not counting shield batteries and nanos) you know that in 9-10 target will escape..... you need to have more then one person impersonating a pirate to have any real consequence. Balance now as now its not the best, rules are to be revisioned in my opinion..... People are RPing less and less and they are more focused on PvP with 3 lines (target spotted, assisting allies, weapons hot and engaging) there is no more extensive RP before any encounter. How many people did you saw trading outside of events? maybe 3-4 person a day. But mate if you are so short sighted and you think this is all about you, you are free to believe so, who m I to tell you otherwise.

Raising PoB shields to prevent docking does not require an active siege declaration.
