I insist that I don't see why the Order should be expressly involved in the event, when there has been no RP about Freeport 9 in which they were involved. If it's due to mere alliances or enmities with the factions involved, half of the factions on the server should participate.
However, it has already been said by the staff that anyone who has ZoI in Theta can join the party, without rewards, so I imagine that the Order will be able to have its share of pew.
why there isn't the option that zoners prefer to blow up FP9, since they already have Corfu and Pygar? it would be one less heaache, since if corsairs win, and even they give it back to zoners, there always be under scrutiny by the corsairs, and the same for the outcast. this way the east part of the sector wil be a free warzone.

Blow it up, you say. Did Zoner population and personnel of FP9 get evacuated completely? If yes, then okay, fine. If not... Well, I can see that blowing them up along with a strategic liability might be more pragmatic than freeing them, sure. Maybe canon Zoners are jaded enough to be that pragmatic and I simply missed the memo.

If someone forced me out of my home, I'd want it back. It might not be much, but it was mine, it's a matter of principle.
Also consider that the Zoners are suffering food problems now too, Planet Pygar is a wasteland with little natural resources. The storms are so bad there, it's apparently difficult for them to even keep the Docking Ring functional. The only reason many Zoners colonised the damn place was as an alternative to Gran Canaria when Bretonia annexed it. Corfu is largely a station for ship maintenance and originally served as a depot to help the initial colonisation of the world.
Read infocards dude. Geeze.
Edit: On the matter of people wanting a planet, so they can breathe real air. I'm a scuba diver and I will say that I wouldn't want to be sucking on recycled or dry air forever. So I get why some Zoners are at least trying to keep that world, despite hardships.
When contending with a monster, you'd be wise to give the devil his due.
Considering:
1: The old existing playerbase - 75% will be against Corsairs - and some of the best PVPers being OCs
2:The need for new players to participate in fun events and hopefully tell their friends about it!
3: The "Kansas" debacle - where everyone chose a side, over logged and the fun was gone
4: Lack of turrets and turret efficiency on the PoBs
5: The "Freedom" of choice for players to participate in what ships they want in what will be "DTR vs Freelancer Discovery" Event
6: DTR being the main recruiter of new players and main activity generator for the past year
7: 1st Navy activity hours after the Kansas event - yes, that was quite a drop in activity! (Point 6 applies to 1st Navy too)
8: Personal and subjective opinions aren't relevant.
BALANCE THE EVENT! GIVE THE DEFENDERS A FIGHTING CHANCE! Yes, that includes the PVPers in the server splitting up and actually fighting amongst themselves. Enough Duck hunt! Fight someone who's on your level, not NPCs with extra neurons.
KEEP THINGS BALANCED AND FUN FOR EVERYONE! ESPECIALLY THE NEW PLAYERS! As someone said: they are the bread and butter of the server!
for those who live by the infocards, Gran Canaria for several time was freezing and it would become a snowball for several years,, by the infocard, now ... it's fine. think about it.

You what mate? This is a cope.
As someone who's not in a player faction on either side, you can bet I'll likely log to 'balance' as I always do. However, it's highly unlikely that I'll be on the DTR side due to the amount of people you guys can and will bring to bare. If you spent more time training your members in organisation, rather than just throwing out sheer force on numbers to win a fight, maybe you'd have a better time.

I can speak for at least 3 people including myself - we joined hauling on Corsair side only because it was imbalanced towards them and because we couldn't dock our pre-prepared Whales on Kreuzberg, so we hauled for Corsairs to make money

3: The Kansas debacle, as you call it, in my opinion, came from people who wanted to be a child at the baptism, the bride at the wedding, and the dead person at the funeral.
What could have been a fun border conflict between xenon-paid mercenaries and the 6-7 Auxo players, turned into an issue that, I agree with you, divided the community.
6: The problem I see with this is that they tend to be players who only play as DTR.
How many players are there? 10? 20?
If instead of playing only as corsair or other characters to improve the DTR position they would also play other roles, such as: Gaian, Bowex, Crayter and other factions that barely have players, they would populate the server with factions of 4-5 players, which would It would encourage the role, conflict, alliances, etc.
The concentration of players in a faction in a single region is killing the server in my opinion.
I'll give you an example, the other day I saw two indie corsairs doing piracy, since they joined the DTR they have stopped doing it and the life they gave to the server has disappeared.
And when a new player arrives, instead of seeing a server full of distributed players and having options to choose what to play, they only see an easy option, which leaves the rest of Sirius even more empty, entering a vicious circle.
So no, in my opinion they do not generate healthy activity.
8: All opinions, subjective or not, are important to see other points of view and empathize with the one with whom you disagree.
All of this is my opinion and I share it with the utmost respect, it is not an attack on anyone.
