Well it helps bounty hunters prove they killed a specific target and it can show cheaters, for example when someone modds wepons and goes of killing everyone in the system in 10 seconds.

Other than that, it can show how much you are the 'pwning 1337 roxxor' and sometimes be that nice little ego fix for the day D:
