I find it very hard to believe anyone that took advantage of this blatant oversight did it with any degree of innocence. I'm not even a trader and I knew it something was off when I saw the insane CSU.
It had all the red flags: insanely short route, no danger, extremely high CSU, no event of any sort, no logical or in roleplay explanation.
using the Harrisburg message is not an argument as that message has been around for years.
I think the admin team is being very, very, very lenient here.
Gladly i can say i was not joining it, and my best friend was mining helium at that time, i saw a ridiculous amount of people in there, but never think about they were exploiting the game server, still, the only nice money we have is from the GMG Trade Boost thing, that is kinda a bit ...
At least admins are taking an step for their programming error ... if you think about, "There will not be consequences" then it is fine at least, i mean, usually you will not be finding such pleasure on these admins, as a gesture, "We will remove the amount of credits only and make it like nothing happened" ... well
If you are an user who commit this error ... you had fun, return the credits and self-delivery yourself to justice, and you will kept the expedient of player still clean~
Remember that a trust-worthy player is part of the learning, if you commit error, those things happen, think and keep playing nicely!
P.D: I just hope those players tell the truth, i will be watching they comply in their words, as long you comply with yours

May the ‘L1ght’ grant you wisdom my "Dear", Rules are there to teach, not to preach. Don’t enforce them like a tyrant’s whim, Especially when they’re as baseless as a beach. May the ‘Wildkins’ enlighten you, my ‘Esteemed’, Symbols are there to signify, not to vilify. Don’t enforce them like a detective who’s a decade late, especially when they’re as timeless as fate.
Another angle on this (and no, I haven't been playing for quite some time, so I am not involved): Since when is it the players fault if they exploit a weakness/error that is clearly the Devs fault? I have been critical of the economy for some time and this easy to avoid error simply shouldn't have happened. Typing commodities into bases is elbow grease, not rocket science. And players could have mistaken this exploit for some Halloween special gift...

Because it has been here for some time and we don't need to punish innocent people that spent their time grinding, farming and doing stuff because of that. I would rather deal with 10 guilty people than 150 innocent.

Sometimes a rollback is deemed as the lesser evil than dealing with the consequences of a major issue. Discovery had a few rollbacks throughout history, some better some worse. In this case the admins have evaluated both options and went against the rollback, likely because the exploit wasn't caught soon enough.
The damage done by a rollback scales exponentially with time. It's far worse to roll the server back for 2 weeks than 2 days.
Ah ok - I hope you realise how incredibly off putting some of the language of staff has been here - this is just a game and you issue ultimatums and threats publicly for what was your error - not exactly a vibe you want to show to people considering if they com back to play or not - more PMs and less hostile language would go a long way, if anyone cares that is
Was this intended? No.
Was it an oversight? Yes.
Is it still up to the player to determine if something isn't quite right? Yes.
At this point, all we are asking is for those who were involved to come clean. This could have been approached a little more harshly by us, at least this way we can clear up as much as we can identify and move on.
I have a feeling people are going to be more upset they lost their core 3 base then lose 100m creds. If we find undeclared amounts, well... you have been warned.
People were very quick to bring attention to the last bug that caused any transfer of credits with flhook to instead set your credits to 1 billion, so anyone claiming that this is entirely the fault of the admin/dev team not catching it quicker and not on the people abusing the bug are simply delusional.
