The phone previous to it suffered accidental death by runover as well, when I was trying to use the flashlight to illuminate my mailbox at night in a snowstorm. Wonder how many phones go out like that yearly
I've got a Galaxy S10+ and I can attest to this. The thing is a tank.
Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. Try saying that five times fast.
My old Pixel 3a had a very cracked screen and was starting to get super sluggish after several years of otherwise working perfectly, so when shopping for a new phone I decided to be experimental with my purchase and try out the flip phone revival. I have to say that overall I'm quite happy with this one, and it's served me well for a little over a year now.
However, the biggest downside is that the battery life is, frankly, atrocious. An hour-long trip downtown via transit, checking Discord the whole time I'm on the bus and subway, will drain about half of my battery, meaning I have to ration on the way back.
When I start my new job I'm going to be far away from any chargers for upwards of 8 hours at a time so after my first few paychecks I might buy a new phone, focusing much more on battery lifetime — which would be the very first time I've ever replaced a cellphone before it became an absolute necessity due to some kind of objective failure on the phone's part.
Xiaomi P30 Pro.
I don't use anything with my phone where I'd mind a bit of Chinese spyware in addition to everyone elses spyware xd
Based as hell phone for its camera quality and overall speed, weird as hell emphasis on high output, low duration battery though. Almost two years in with mostly slow charge and you're recharging once every 48h with 3h daily usage time.
Not sure what's next, funky business contract allows for a new phone every two years as part of the contract. Perhaps Google for fun.
