How are you supposed to know somthing that wasnt explained in the full game.
So then you have to take a wild guess as to the made up **** that everyone else decided that it was to think like a nomad ect ect.
According to the story, they are drones, simple minded drones, they are controled by overminds and only think on a scale that is neccisary.
think of them as ants, they are contolled completely by pharamones and the behavior to follow all those cues from birth.
You think the uh... whatever that old race was called... would they give an organic defence ship thought? no, they just want it to protect the stupid empire, not have philosophical discussions with its "buddys".
If someone is going to RP as a nomad, they only need to do 2 things
1. shutup, don't say a thing, ask no questions.
2. follow orders from the one roleplaying as the overmind.
Same way we make stuff with other characters. Using what I know from vanilla and what seems logical, I build a conception of a character (human or otherwise) and put it through discovery's people and situations- voila, new character. We've also got a bit more to go off than some, there's a Nomad backstory that is immensely helpful. Plus, a few people are writing up a document to 'codify' what discovery's people have done with the Nomads. Speaking of such, I need to write that hybridization piece... I'm getting to it Yuri, I swear!
EDIT: As for this:

I can say the same about my (non-infested) Rheinland Military character. Stay quiet, do your job, follow orders from high command.
Is that interesting?
No.
So I talk, even though it isn't technically the most logical thing to talk to your opponents. Its more fun that way, and helps distinguish RP from PvP.
I dont really know what to say to you Snapp.
You cannot see why you were not accepted into the Keepers.
It has nothing to do with Treewyrm's "clique" as you so like to put it.
It has everything to do with how you conduct yourself, and your ability to RP. The trial time that EVERY potential Keeper has to go through is to screen out those who have bad conduct and or bad RP.
That fact that you keep coming back on this and the more that you talk like this with a personal grudge, the more I am convinced that Treewyrm made the correct decision. You cannot mix personal with Roleplay, especially within the Keepers.
EVERY faction has a "secret" entrance exam. It's all there in the Factions status post. As far as I know you can't get into the LN if you can't respect the chain of command.
As for missing the Keepers because "they are never on", has it occurred to you that possibly the main reason that you missed them, or they missed you, is because they don't know who the potential Keepers names are? As far as I know, some of the Keepers are kept secretive from each other themselves. As for coming to Iota, don't you think thats a bad idea? It's simply too dangerous for a trial nomad to be in Iota. The best places to find them are in Alpha or Delta. PM them ingame or on the forums if you know who are the Keepers. Don't just ask Treewyrm for everything.
Your accusations of Ego, Favouritism and such are ungrounded, because it isn't just Treewyrm who has a say in the Keepers affairs. It's very much a member run faction. He doesn't do things against people personally, he doesnt string people along, there is still hope until the answer is "No, I'm sorry, your application for the Keepers has been denied." And even then why should you give up? Learn from your mistakes and try again or move on.
DON'T come to the forums with a personal grudge against an entire faction, because someone said NO you to. Not the right way to get into a faction and reflects badly on you. From here on out I suggest you look and consider what you did wrong, and learn from it so that you have a better time next time you try to enter a faction.

players are still allowed to form up an unofficial clan based on "their" idea of nomads - without the benefits of nomad tech / refixes i guess? - if that is so.... there are at least some possibilities to reach a wider spectrum of players who is willing to RP nomads but don t agree with the keepers RP.
after all, nowhere in the lore of freelancer 1.0 original story, its said that all nomads are the very same, or pulling on the same string. - furthermore, there can be humans live in a tigher symbiosis with the nomads than the parasitic co-existance. ( like the guys in the SP campaign in rheinland )
anyway - i think if enough nomad willing players bunch up, they could form a group of their own, doesn t need uber weapons and reputations or the permission to kill without interaction to be a nomad. - the nomads in SP were much more interesting ( the ones that possessed humans - which are wild, alright, but still somewhat nomad )
deceiving, coercing and exploiting the weaknesses of others - RPed as a nomad or wild. - and like the nomads in the very early stages of 4.82,3 ( before the rep fix ) they could consider the nomads around to be renegades without bonds to their agenda. - maybe not fighting them ( that means - actively hunting them ) but defending against them if pressed hard.
imo - that should be more than acceptable. - choice of ships is limited ... but if an agreement is achieved with the harvesters whos history intermingles with the dom kavash - they might be allowed to use their ships, too.
I would advise that people who want to be a nomad try out for the Keepers,
Or
Wait for the unveiling of the Nomad Lore document that I heard someone mention. There are numerous people working on it. And it will help people to better understand the nomads, instead of going off on their own "Lets bring in Battlestar Galactica into the nomads RP. Guffaw!"
Big changes coming out in 4.85

Sounds like you had a rough time of it.
Sharing ideas is all part of why we are here so don't keep them bottled up. One bad experience (even really bad) should not stop you from letting others enjoy your stories and RP.
I think once this nomad lore is put out it may help people set up their nomads to be more in sync with how the keepers play them. Hopefully that will eliminate any furture bad experiences.
