' Wrote:Well then! Since you're so stone-set on the Nomads being intelligent beings, whats to say they don't have pride? I mean, they nuked our sun. "Great success!" 800 years later, we annihilate their entire armada/army (since technically they are in and of themselves ships and creatures). Wouldn't you think they'd be a bit prideful to just surrender to these... Abominations they so sought to destroy?
That would be similar to the middle-eastern extremists throwing down arms and saying, "We've had too much fighting! You've only killed thousands of us, but we're done now! Plleeeaaase? Alliance? Friends? Yes?"
I don't understand your point. You are saying the Nomads shouldn't be allied with the Outcasts because of their pride when their fleet was destroyed?

theyre not surrendering to these "abominations that they sought to destroy" because they have never sought to destroy the outcasts EVER, infact if anything they have HELPED the outcasts always... your not the sharpest tool in the shed are you?
hell if anything the outcasts have similar goals in mind, i.e. we wanna take over everything with cardamine.
so your logic my friend fails you, everyone has common sense especially aliens with far more technilogical and mental advancements than any human could think of. They are like the last of theyre species, theyre being killed off one by one by corsairs and everything else thats near em (kappa/delta) everyone i mean EVERYONE see's em and just says kill KILL KILL, never even tries to communicate, what are you to do?
then you see theres a race that DOESNT try to kill you infact reveres you, what are you to do as a higher intellegent being? hmm?
you use em thats what you do (oh not to mention outcasts are far from human now, immunities longer life yeah i wouldnt class em as the "abominations" you put them as)
The keepers are the most evolved nomads, it's only logical that they are after another solution other than "HAHAHA I PEW PEW U"... They'd be BHG if they wanted to do that.
now would be a good time for the 101st - as the primal outcast faction to make their statement about that affair - a statement that is clear and unmistakenly - to build ongoing RP on - for both sides.... . no matter what - for the corsairs, there has been nomads teamed up with outcasts raiding their very homeworld ( as a character cannot really see if its really the same group or not, but they appeared in the same wave of attacks as the outcasts and hunted the same targets )
it might be a good basis to build RP on - as long as thinks do not escalate.

As i said when i started this mess (my apologies) i wanted clarification, i should have kept it in PMs. My bad.
Quote:dont forget colonials just tend to say "bye" in system and fly into a planet than even TRY to run or dock... yeah amazing rp right there bud amazing
One of your members did exactly the same thing by going into the sun.
He didn't even say bye. Also, crashing to a planet is much more in RP then hitting a sun.
Why? Because you can survive. You can't survive a sun.
As for RP, he crashed somewhere on Crete, was picked up and put in medical safely.
Your guy who hit sun is just.. Fried.
As for the Keepers, I wanted to ask a few questions as well.
First, I thought Keepers had tractor beam disabled? It says so on their ID.
Well, I'v seen a tractor beam from Nomad Assassin. It made me wonder, so I scanned it.
And what I'v seen is 5 Bounty Hunter pilots in his hold.
And I can't think of any way for it to get those pilots else then picking them up in space.
Second, I was actually used to Keepers appearing out of nowhere and helping Outcasts.
But this one was different. Keeper was with them in Alpha, Keeper was in them with Eta, Theta, and then came to Gamma.
It totally blended into a whole Outcast group. It wasn't even attacking logical targets, since there were 3,4 people with Nomad weaponry that were ignored by him, and others who had none - he attacked.
Anyway, I can't really complain, since I was flying a Sabre as a Corsair, so.. I guess it's fine.:)
And this is a quote from skype, general impression of the Corsairs today.

Ok, Joke!!

And since Laowai has taken this to PM's now, no need for another 'faction flame thread'.
Locked is as good as it can get.

I don't know what plan Treewyrm has for us, although i have my guesses, but i do know that we've done alot of things in alpha as of late that COULD'VE secure the "respect" of the keepers RP wise. All nomad devices are banned from alpha, no one may enter Omicron 90, no one is allowed to attack any keeper or nomad NPC and we communicate with the keepers on a regular basis.
Ta-bloody-daa. It's not the strangest thing to happen in disco, where cyborgs, super soldiers, hybrid nomads, aliens, people who rp freespace, and mad scientists run wild and free.
"I don't know what plan Treewyrm has for us" - but keep in mind that this is
discovery freelancer and not treewyrms discovery freelancer.
play WITH the others - especially when its about such decissions like almost allying forces. - the statement that liberty could ally with the corsairs is not too far fetched. - RP can do anything.... the question is.... should it do anything that it CAN do?
but like i said above, i don t have a problem with the RP, nor what happened today as i was not involved, but it can and it will cause consequences - and it sets .... "new standards" in terms of allies.
Chopper, as for your point about those Keepers being with us the whole time, did you not read my post? I did state that they hung around the Outcast group probably anticipating an incursion into enemy territory. Considering they see us as their little 'pawns', they would be clever to use us in such a way that we take them to viable targets.
As for your other two points, they aren't really on topic for this particular thread. I agree the whole flying into stuff is bad RP on both sides, so why don't we all just stop it, and as for tractor beams and all that, it's not something we're discussing here.
