Does it? Does it really, my friend? Isn't it logical to think that the keepers have just been observing the outcasts until they felt the time was right to do... something... Like i said, we don't know what they have planned for the outcasts, nor the rest of sirius.
no the difference is Treewyrm is the only one developing the VERY LIMITED nomad RP, so yeah he has every right to bring about plans for the nomads and what they will do to others, even the outcasts.
all i see here is people dictating on how the nomads should be RP'd when frankly i can bet none of you know a thing about them or not much anyway
here is a likely scenario that can happen in RP, that would upset the balance of forces of discovery:
we had the alaska discussion recently with BHGs and how much they are allowed. - now, we know the BHG started a WAR against the order over the nomads - and during the discussion it was clear that any BHG trespassing into alaska too much ( over nomads ) would be shot dead.
imagine that - the whole BHG battlefleet turning against liberty ( it matters little if there is a chance or not, cause its guesswork, as the BHG has no battlefleet in vanilla 1.0 ) - servernumbers would indicate that - if an all out war was called, the BHG would most probably not win in its current stats - but once organized would cause MAJOR troubles.
i think everyone agrees that the server should not take such a developement of swifted alliances and enemies, - some things are detrimental, others beneficial.
and you can stop attacking me, cause i have nither said i find what happened "good" nor "bad" - i just ask for an official statement to build RP on ...
so - if the keepers and the outcast official factions would officially announce that they are now raiding together - it would set a new friendship of two factions ( it would elevate it to another level ) - as well as setting a basis for RP.... .
what we have now is a lot of people struggling to justify what happened and no one will budge an inch over their opinions.... but if the outcasts are in league with the nomads now - it would easily mean that for example the guild would much more concentrate on the outcasts than on the corsairs instead of spreading their annoyance on both groups alike. ( just an example )
edit: "all i see here is people dictating on how the nomads should be RP'd when frankly i can bet none of you know a thing about them or not much anyway" ( lohingren ) gosh, man, calm down a little - this is not such a heated discussion - its mostly about getting answers. and we know full well that we are no nomad experts, - or i am not, i m not interested in them at all... so why should i know much about them. its just about seeking the RP behind it and verifying it - hell, there is no offence there, is it? you behave as if i was attacking you personally over it.... /shrug... i m not even questioning what happened today. - i just mentioned it was fishy - on a scale whats fishy, it ranks lower than the harvesters in league with the corsairs as a matter of fact and you haven t seen me get upset about that one either.
This whole discussion gives me an idea for a new faction, a cult of fanatical Nomad worshipers, complete with strange rites and rituals. Originally founded among the Outcasts, their radical beliefs and zeal have caused them to part ways so that they may pursue the (perceived) goals of their Nomad gods. Outcast tag, generic pirate ID. Goals would include actively hunting the Order and anyone else who hunts Nomads or makes use of their equipment, and doing whatever the Keepers told them (if they even deigned to speak to their pathetic human worshipers). Being hybridized would be considered the greatest honour possible.
Probably not ever gonna happen, just thought it was an interesting idea.
