There really wasn't any talk of nerfing the field directly... Just general statements of distaste toward it.
Anyways, this thread is a question as to what the F(rill) is wrong with the fields. It's not just Bornholm, its all of them. Dublin, Silverton, Zoner Niobium cloud in O-49. It's probably a glitch/h4)x0rz which will soon be fixed. Unless the mod people decided to deter people from mining further, which I can't see them really doing... It's not April 1st... Yeah... h4)x0rz.
what are you talking about? Mining is one of the most IRP things you can do in the entire game. If anything the Admins support it.

' Wrote:Hogosha NPC's do exist. I'm not debating their patrol paths.
In RP they would keep an eye on all traffic and they would know when a Junker enters Kusari space.
Otherwise there would be Junker NPC's in Kusari and there wouldn't be the Hogosha/Junker rumour on certain bases.
doesnt mean they're always around to stop us. I never said I was wreckless while in kusari, just that it isnt completely OORP for a junker to go into kusari as long as he knows how to keep his head down and avoid the enemy.
Why are there no Junkers in Kusari? There are, duh, you can find them in three places.
1) Loitering outside of Hogosha airlocks.
2) Loitering in the allys of Kusarian planets with compromising holes in their heads.
3) Loitering in chairs provided for them in the back rooms of Hogosha establishments.
The Hogosha influenced locals don't like you, the Samura controlled military doesn't like you. Landing on a planet or station not in the lovely hands of Kishiro or (I dare say) Interspace would be a reasonable way to expect a knifing.

I have argued the reverse when it come to Hogosha in NY and was told I was wrong. If anyone want to stop Junkers going into Kusari it should be players. But this is getting off topic.
In general minning needs to be buffed so that its viable for groups like the IMG.

If a Hogosha pilot lands on a Junker base, I expect interesting things to happen.
The important thing here is this: Junkers =/= Hogosha.
The second important thing here is that mining does leed lurve and the only thing wrong with the scrapfield in question is that it's located right around the base, if it were a few K away that'd be a bit different. People sitting right outside of a base harvesting credits able to quickdock at the first sign of trouble doesn't promote good times.
A buncha folks in different parts of a far off field gathering resources and dumping them into a transport that's going back and forth = cooler.

You think my ship's crew are a bunch of space geeks or what?
Well... one of them is...
My main character and the captain of my ship is an ex militia soldier, and he's got two mercenaries onboard as bodyguards. Those hogosha would have to come in force to 'knife' me, as you put it.
Anyways, who do you think gets cardamine to the GC? Outcasts rarely run it in directly, and blood dragons dont like the stuff one bit.

Outcasts bring it, or the GC go get it.
That information is all just sitting there on the GC bases. Much of the far ranging smuggling activities, the more ''proactive' outlook is more of a player invention than one founded in the lore of things (Yanagi aside and potential future developments aside. Or so was my understanding while gathering all of the Junker rumors for their part of the wiki).
That being said, yes, the Hogosha would have their merry way with you six ways from sunday, ex military with two bodyguards or no.
Be comparable to a Hogosha being safe as a clam on a Junker base because he's ex KNF with two merc bodyguards.
