I changed my equipment and put the nomad thruster off and I'm on 2 nomad turrets now.
Anyway, an explain for nomad turrets couldn't be hard. If you fight a enemy with stronger weapons, everyone wants to have them. Liberty has the scientiest to develop them. A Corsair spy infiltraded Liberty and stolen some prototypes and the plans. He got in trouble with his CO and sold them to some Zoners.
Simple explain why they're for sale on a Zoners base.
About this ifected thing. Do you need some kind of brain-machine interface to use weapons? I didn't heard about this and this could explain how senseless the dicussion of infected pilots can be. How can you be infected by a simple peace of hardware? The other thing around, if you're flying a Cruiser, you don't have just 1 pilot and not 1 guy serving for weapons and so on. It's a huge crew in this kind of ship.
Just simple thoughts but I guess they don't belong here ,-)

I will not hesitate to blast another junker to space dust if he causes trouble at my stations - especially with so many 'fakes' using the junker tag/ID in order to claim nuetrality while trading lately; "Oh noes, you cant shoot me mr. pirate, im a junker!" - it's getting as bad as the traders trying to hide behind zoner ID's.
Nah, thats not how it works exactly, and its sad people do that. For example, if there is a pirate faction in game and they are not 'green' with you they will attempt to pirate you. In other words if that faction does not list Junkers as allies then I realize I am fair game. Same with Zoners. Thats just how it is.
I got a good laugh in liberty once as an LN told me he was tired of junkers hiding behind 'neutrality'. I simply pointed out if we were neutral he wouldnt be demanding I drop my cargo.
As to not be totally OT and tie it into the OP, the same goes for corsairs. I realize you already pretty much have closure. I'm just trying to illustrate the fact that in freelancer a red tag is KOS, a white tag is neutral but not friendly, and only a green tag is friendly.
