I just tried it again and it worked for me this time... dunno what was going on before.

This is such a nice feature, i can transfer credits all the way across sirius without having to worry about the RP implications =P Some of my characters are not so friendly with others.

I just tried it again with 1 mil, and it didn't work at all, total of 31 mil lost now. i think this command has selective processing. Maybe you have to be in the *in* crowd for it to work. Will i ever get those credits back?

Less than five minutes ago I use the givecash between my chars and the two fails. I saw the messages but not the money

A few of questions. Were you in dock or in space when you sent the money? Was the receiving character in space or dock? Can you remember the exact command you typed?

Dont use commas or dots for the number:
<strike>1,000,000</strike>
<strike>1.000.000</strike>
1000000

The givecash command isn't checking for commas,dots...I'm not quite sure what it'll do. I will investigate. Use only /givecash <name> 10000000 (no commas,dots,$sign.etc)

The command will definitely not work for characters that have been renamed the old way, neither sending nor receiving.

So yea, just did /givecash gneisenau 30000000 logged out and logged on him and it says "you have received 30,000,000 from>named trader< looked in log, still same as i had the other day. undocked and the redocked still nothing. Freakin' 30 million gone, totally lame. Gneisenau had a name change, but deleted the last char and made this one new for my story on the forum.

Hmm. It could be something hanging around related to the old character. I'll try to replicate this problem on my test server.

Yeh...this happened to me a while ago...8 mil went poof and both chars had never been renamed.

There was a problem related to sending cash and server crashs. It's possible your transfer got caught up in that. If you're able to could you please try a small transfer again and let me know if it works.

Yeah...I've done several transfers since then with success with one of the chars I used before...the other one, however, i depleted funds completely and deleted over 24 hrs later. I should also mention that both chars were in space at the time...but I've done a few other transfers with ships undocked w/o problems

I'm pretty sure that transfers between characters that are online work every time.

I'm somewhat sure based on these posts that under some *unknown* condition a transfer to an offline character doesn't work...most of the time it does...sometimes it doesn't. If someone knows what the condition is, I'd sure like to know. I'll be looking at this.

All transfers have been to an offline character...its just the one time I had a problem...I should mention that when I did it that one time I didn't use the same capitalization (i.e. merchant.marine instead of Merchant.Marine).

Well, i did a little testing on some of my char with only 10k this time, they all got the cash except for gneisenau, i think maybe its due to the fact that it is lvl 5? or maybe that the character had a recent name change about a week ago, even though it was deleted and remade.
