Four months and still rumors, that's... interesting. In terms of observation about how fast things become even slightly known (and often incorrectly). But I'm not telling anything, even if that means that some may misunderstand it. After all it's part of the fun. Unresolved mysteries, uncertainty and feeling that there is something looming on the horizon are part of the game that should be felt by some. It's part of the fun, a living world always keeps uncertainty, uneasiness... If you want to find something on them - you got to do that via in-game means, nobody will spill out everything on a plate with golden trimming. You can try or can try not, may learn something, may get blasted off to sky - that's part of the risk of the game. Take chances. Or not. It's called "intel gathering", risks apply, as minor as they would be in terms of game mechanics. Unlike the forum. It is left to you, discovery player, to find. A good storyteller is also a puzzlemaker in a certain way, leaving storyline puzzles to be solved by listeners. Called entertainment.
-Edit- Whoo! Sorry... Tenacity syndrome is rubbing off. Umm... Reasons... Reasons. Outcasts like Nomads because they enjoy hovering around their 14 dead?

... They must not die alot.
Well, they do have long lifespans...
I think the whole thing is interesting. Gives a bit more depth to the Outcasts. Now if only we could get the newbs to realize this...
I'm just interested what would you expect out of your allies to do if they go trough Alpha and see a huge Nomad battleship 5k away from them.
Examples : Hessians, Dragons, Hackers, Rogues, Molly's.
How will you act? "Hey! Leave those squishes they 'r our buddies!"?
Do you think those factions would still support you after that?
Hessians hate Nomads, mainly because they hate Wilde.
Dragons hate Nomads and everything connected to them.
Hackers probably don't hate them, but aren't fond of them either, knowing how dangerous they can be.
I'm interested if you are aware of possible consequences of such 'alliance', or 'friendship' if you prefer it that way.
I know that my Hessian would attack the Nomad or be stopped by Outcasts, but then he'd reconsider his 'alliance' with those who make conspiracies with the blue-bellies.

I don't. While allies are being taken away from Corsairs, which already have a lot less and weaker allies, some most powerful factions are added to Outcast side of the fence.
Now this isn't a Keeper bashing, so no need for me to hide. I think 'Casts are to blame here mainly.
And I do expect many of their allies to go rebellious after they find out about it.
And it's not too hard to find out about it with 5 Keepers being in Alpha every day.

It is every Corsair's responsibility to die a beautiful death in defense of Crete, regardless of how OORP or how capwhoring the opposition is. Launch your fighter, joust the battlecruisers and die a beautiful death. Then, drink it down in the bar.

Yes, old friendships could be reconsidered, new alliances forged, old hatreds put aside.....
You can contact the Corsairs or any of their elders directly, we're here to help... ;)
Dont think we aren't already out there........If the outcasts allies find this new friendship distasteful, there are always.... Role play answers to it;)
How exactly are we to control RP of a faction that is very much out of our hands?
It's the choice of the Keepers here buddy.
My personal feeling is that the nomads should maintian a kind of aloofness and distance, that would encourage the "strange, mystical creatures and powerful, dangerous spirits to be respected" aspect of how the outcasts veiw them, with limited contact.
However the choice isn't ours to make, so don't lay your pissed-off-ness about it at our feet... That is simply unfair.
Yeah, really. Where the Nomads go is there decision. We just play along.
Also, the BD are not allies proper of the Outcasts, we like them to keep their distance, thankee...the Hackers are scientists, and indeed, our Spirit Relations Officer is a Hacker. The Hessians are going to try and throw us the minute the Corsairs get routed anyways, why should we care?
