You just gotta let it go. I get flamed a lot because of Basilisk, but I just laugh and delete, well sometimes I show friends the good ones. You just can't take things personal. If you do, this ceases being fun and becomes a chore then a flame fest.

Fire goes out pretty quick if you starve it.

I'm sorry, but I have to step up here.

I agree with Titan, once is funny, twice is amusing, the third time is boring.

We understand if you think it's funny we messed up, we don't find it so funny. And if you look around the forums you can see hundreds of threads saying things like "LN messed up" "COmplaints against the navy" "Navy are CAPWHOARS" etc etc.

How do you think we feel? When there's a Screenshot of us making a simple mistake, and it's placed all over the forums for people to laugh at and flame.

And we don't recieve it once a month, or even once a week, it's mopre like once every 2 days.

Also, we come under intense scrutiny becuase *Gasp* New York is both the place that players start, and a place where smugglers can make a lot of money.

So please, next time you see the LN make a mistake, don't bother pressing the "Print Screen" key, just chuckle to yourself and move on.

After reading this I think you of all people here may now understand what DW puts up with on a daily basis.
I know that DW made several mistakes when we first got here, and we have taken steps to correct them.
I would love nothing better then to go back to aiding all the Liberty forces including the LN. But it is not my choice to make and the accusations are not mine to excuse or forgive. All I can say is that I truly do understand what you are feeling about this. There does seem to be a few here that take great joy in not playing the actual game but in making others feel attacked constantly in the forum. This approach is just not going to help the Disco community in any way. It actually harms the community when viewed by any new people to the server. If someone new feels that they have to walk on eggshells all the time do you really expect them to stay here for any length of time?

Never thought I'd say this, but I agree Raekur. Thing is, yes lots of LN do tend to make small usually silly mistakes that most people on the server take for granted, guess why? 90% of the people in Liberty factions are very new on the server, starting or has recently started, then we try to help them and educate them, and all they see is that they get laughed at on the forums by some halfwit 9 year old who gets a hardon when he sees "pwnt" written by someone for something he did. This does not really sit in well with the new guys, most of my old members know these things happen regularly and help the new people by trying to tell them to not pay attention and things like that. That doesn't really help much, we're all humans, and no matter how much you ignore something, it is bound to affect you in a way. So I've decided I won't let these people treat my members or any others like that here, how? I'm going to do exactly what they do, to them. Works fine so far, they've been posting a lot less and my new guys are having a blast at watching this. Taking your own medicine can be a bitch:P

I didn't want to make a post here, but I will.

First of all, quit with the [LN] flames. First, we see people flame the [LN] for the acts of the LNS independents, thinking that they are controlled by us. Wrong.

Next, we see people calling the [LN] "capwhoars", when in reality, we rarely log our caps. Once again, blaming us for some things that the LNS independents so. Yes, there are many good independents, fantastic ones even! However, becoming an LNS has been abused so often. Noobs who think that size matters, and want to destroy pirates always choose to become LNS. We are not to be held responsible for their actions, since most of the time, said noobs are always OORP, and never even trying to RP with us.

Now, we see this. Are people deliberately trying to find a way to make fun of the [LN]? Is it some sick pastime you fellows do, for the "lulz"?

And, as with Titan's response; We did nothing wrong. Imagine having a single sheriff in a county, being called to help against some bandits. When in fact, the call was just so he could get out of the way, and the smuggler could get through. Because, that's exactly what happened.

This time, there was only 1 [LN] online, and things in NY are fast paced, believe me. Those of you who've worked with us before, you know what I'm talking about.

Things aren't exactly "chummy" for a single [LN] pilot, trying to patrol, catch smugglers, and assist traders against pirates.

When a trader asks for help, yes, we don't send the full force. We send a single, maybe a couple of pilots, depending on the size of the said pirate force. However, if we only have a single [LN] pilot in space, don't you think that it would be hard for him, to deal with a smuggler, while being asked to help the "supposed" trader?

I don't understand why you're all getting into this case. If the [LN] officer didn't assist, he would have caught the smuggler, yes. But, more often than not, instances are that the trader IS needing help. So, we always go and assist.

There really is no need to make fun of the [LN]. I'm really sick and tired of people trying to find ways to ridicule us. Sure, we have had mistakes in the past, and we try to clear them up.

However, [LN] declares stuff for a reason. We don't just go around doing things just for the "lulz", and to get the feeling of immense power, making people obey us.

No.

We do it within-RP. We do it for the good of Liberty, RP-wise. What the normal defense forces, in RL do as well. If there's a threat to the safety of it's citizens, we neutralize the threat, or try to resolve any conflict.

Really, stuff like this disgusts me. Stop making threads like this.

Noobius, yes, it's funny once, even twice, when you wake up every day to find a thread like this or something similar it stops being funny.

O'contraire I have not seen a post like this since I posted my "Navy ooRP post" (Lets not go to that subject eh?) maybe in the grand scheme of things you have seen way to many posts like this, but you are NOT finding them "every day" and if you are, "I want some screenshots with some dates" because I am not seeing them.

First off, maybe you should get used to these kinds of posts because they will never stop.

Second, lets say you work at a customer service desk. People call in everyday with questions, one lady asks "Are you open on labor day?" You say "Why no ma'am, we are not, sorry for the inconvenience." Then, 30 seconds later a man callas and asks, "Are you open on labor day?" You say "Why no sir, we are not, sorry for the inconvenience."

The whole day is like this, with people asking the EXACT SAME QUESTION OVER AND OVER AND OVER, do you get pissed off and say "FFS STFU! I HAVE ANSWERED THIS QUESTION 100000000 TIMES BEFORE YOU! WE ARE NOT OPEN ON FU**ING LABOR DAY! *hang up*"?

Hmm, NO!

If people keep posting these kinds of things you are going to have to get used to it, and certainly freaking out every time they do is not going to help the matter in any way, so if another one of these is posted just chill out and let it slide under your radar.
