maybe all you need is a comparing shot to the destroyer to make you see the greater mass and size...
so here is an image with the destroyer to compare with ( size of the destroyer is already balanced for 4.85 ) and another image with the battleship skinned...
below you can see it directly compared to the new BHG destroyer...
edit: i have not modified the fins in the final version... it looked bad to have the vertical fin exceed the main shape - besides... when the ship is kept that way, i had a much easier time slapping a fitting hitbox over it that covered every important part.
the feeling that its somewhat cruisersized comes from the compactness of the ship. - it looks smallish and somewhat dumpy. it lacks distinct separate parts that some other ships have. - the bretonian battleship for example has a clearly visible bridge section and an engine section. - the liberty dreadnaught is very long compared to its hight / length. the osiris - well, the osiris itself does not look very large - but we know its a battleship.. so it feels like one.
one thing for sure - when you re a fighterpilot and happen to fly past this BHG battleship very closely - there won t be any feeling of aweness. the BHG battleship does not look majectic like a zoner juggernaut ( new one ) nor as intimidating as a bretonian battleship. - it will simply look like a beefed up version of the other BHG capships... rather "simple" and not too innovative ( in a positive sense ) - the BHG mass produces those ships - they don t have stationary ones or "important" ones... they are all "just ships".
i can figure out what the "bow" is - but whats the stern? anyway - i cannot do very much anymore to the ship - cause it always means to re-hardpoint it all, and the original ship has 20 turrets that need to be placed along with all the other crap. - takes quite some time to hardpoint it.
besides - right now, it has exactly the size of the current BHG battleship. ( the current BHG BB uses a stretched kusari destroyer hitbox, i think ... i have given this one a tube. - it leaves parts of the horizontal wings out, but covery like 95% of the ship )
.... - yay, well, maybe YOU wanne do the hardpointing?:)pleeeeaaase... i m really tired of hardpointing, i had to hardpoint 20 ships in the past 2 days to fix them - and i m really sick of it now....
increasing the whole ship by 20% is no prob.. i can do that with the FL tool.
the lower front fin....
all i can say is "oopsi" - happens... must have messed up a slice when i was cutting the model. - i ll fix the mat file and then send you ( Tic ) the model, you might hardpoint it if you are so nice.... - gonne scale it up by 20% already then.
about the arcs..... believe it or not. the current BHG BB has 20 turret hardpoints - and all of them are 360 degrees ...
Also Jinx it has 20 turret HPs only in CMP model, but only 14 can be used in game.
@Adamantine Fist
Yes it is possible and i will do it.
But still 2 or 3 of turrets will have to shoot a bit(some detail parts) thru hull when they fire backwards.
2 are so bad that i will limit them to be unable to shoot at about 45 degrees to back. Otherwise they would shoot thru entire hull.
