Question - About player wipes

I did a search, but it brought up nothing.

So, I have herd this myth that you need to log onto your character for 15 minutes in space or it will get wiped every month or something.

Yet DBoy claimed he logged in, un-docked, docked and logged out and he never lost a character.

Whats the story morning glory?
If I can get a solid answer, it will save me hours! And about 20+ characters.

Inactive and uninterested player wipes: Inactive character is a character that hasn't logged for 40 days, so be sure you log all your characters at least once a month. Uninterested character is the one that was in game for less then 10 mins and is wiped after 7-day inactivity. So unless you have a Starflier bank in NY, it shouldn't bother you...

From what I understand from that is a character only needs to be logged in once a month. Maybe majkp could explain it a bit better?

but if you are banned for speedmodding you will be not possible to log in for 60 days... does you loose all your chars when you be unbanned again?

2.2 Sanction for cheating may range from 60-day, to eternal ban.

Punishment for using speed mod (first time) will be no less than a ban for 60 days. Players who have been spotted cheating twice or more, will be banned forever.

That's what I'm doing as well.... and never lost anything.

Good. I was hanging around for 15 minutes in each character. Takes a long time when you have 30 of them.

When a character is banned. The account is frozen. In other words, the accounts aren't there. FL Hook dosn't remove accounts from the banned players list.

Players used to be able to request to be banned while they went on holiday for this reason. But they stopped it.:(

I got the hospital and lost my chars... **** happens.

But now you can easily put your money to a safe character (/givecash) of a friend or just simply share your account with someone who can log in+out ~weekly.
