For those of you who love the Lux. Liner and related vessels, or are a Member of the PanGalactic Travel Agency,
How about flying all your VIPs and Passengers around in a Massive Luxury-Retrofitted Battleship?
Don't be alarmed, all the Weaponry is stripped down to "Transport" class, there will be no inter-faction sieging in these ships.
Ever seen a Lux. Liner get attacked by pirates?
We have, and its not pretty, so next time, if Pirates try to kill your Passengers or VIPs, don't be afraid to shoot back.
These ships will have Transport Turret slots, 8 aiming each direction, 6 aiming forwards, 6 backwards, 12 up, 12 down.
They'll have 15000 cargo, so you can load up on plenty of ALL the essentials:
~~~DON'T YOU DARE POWERTRADE, LEST YOU FACE THE WRATH (Get Banned) OF (By) THE GODS (Admins)~~~
Food, Consumer Goods, Water, Etc.
Also Armor Upgrades... >.> Silly pirates might try to rob you, or kill your passengers even with your massive size, if you don't have one of these...
~~~IS ALLOWED TO BE PIRATED BY WARSHIPS~~~
~Please don't fly House Liners around Hostile Houses, they may be "Civillian Battleships" but they are for Luxury Human Cargo Transportation ONLY~

Ummm...:blink:
This seems... excessive? A joke, perhaps? :mellow:
Ummm... while individual house liners would be nice, I think that retrofitted battleships are a bit much.
' Wrote::s but Individual House Liners would be lame and boring unless they are taken to a whole new level...
A whole new level of pwnage, yes. Those things would be TANKS. Seems like too much to me. I actually think that individual house liners would be cool. After all, Bretonia and Kusari already have them, so why not Rheinland, and maybe Liebrty? Not sure about Liberty, though. They could probably use the standard lux. liner. Rheinlander liner... wow, that would be great. We could call it... the Zeppelin, if only that wasn't taken by the OC dread.:dry:Then again, seeing as the dread's getting a facelift, that name would probably be on its way out...
As long as they don't paint the thing with rocket fuel, I think we'll be fine.
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."
While I think this idea is crap. The idea of Custom Liners for each house has a real good feel to it. I like the idea of the leaders of the various house factions flying in a liner. It's not like heads of state in real life travel around in a f-16 or A-10. The President of the united states flies around in a modified Boeing 747 I believe. In discovery terms, Air Force One is a Luxury Liner. Most heads of state in real life have something similar. I don't like the the Bretonians are the only house with a specific Liner, especially now that luxury liners are going to be more limited to OSC.
House-themed Civillian Battleships, retro-fitted for luxury (Passengers or VIPs ONLY, well... of course you'll need spaceship crew, food, water and other stuff, but absolutely no powertrading or you'll find out what Hoodlum does in his spare time.) travel across sirius, designed for comfort, and extreme size, and to ward off all manner of pirates, should the occasion arise, (hopefully not often) without disrupting the happenings in the Passenger's Suites, Dining Halls, etc.
15,000 cargo? Perhaps if you were to make it move at 5m/s and 6m/s in cruise.
You want a luxory liner with the armaments of a battleship (Transport turrets are powerful) and a cargo space 3 times the size of an Advanced Train.
People WILL abuse it for trade. People DO use Liners for trading.
In regards to individual house liners, that would be nice. Bretonia and Kusari have one (The Kusari one is a bit...import) each but they seem to be the only ones that would need it. The Luxory Liner would be Liberty's probably (Spa and Cruise etc) and Rheinland Liner? Does it have an onboard training ground for soldiers and a day-spa?
Rheinland could do with troop transports.
