PvP game is PvP game. You can try to stress RP all you want, but 90% of encounters between unfriendly factions on this server -will- result in combat. Freelancer was not made for roleplay, it isnt something you can add to the game engine.
People dont like losing, it's a fact. More than that, people -hate- losing because the enemy outnumbers or outguns them. Most of all, people rage when they feel absolutely helpless during a pvp situation because the enemy's ships, weapons, and equipment are simply superior to yours. It may seem like senseless pissing and moaning about nothing to you, but the fact of the matter is that in situations like that - the game is not balanced, it is not fair, and thus it is not fun.
People play games to have fun, not to be frustrated because no matter what they do they will be defeated by the enemy due to game imbalances.
The devs know this game isnt balanced. Mjolnir, despite being the head of balance in this mod, knows full well that it isnt balanced. None of them are concerned with -making- the mod balanced, either. Know why? Because they like having the advantage. Every person does. As much as people hate losing, they love winning, and even if they try to deny it, this mod's developers are no different.
Actually Tenacity, if people play to win, and to win only they should play single player.
just because someone eagerly wants to win doesn't mean he deserves to.
I don't get it and never will. Multi player games means someone will lose, and from the moment you log on FL you know what can you expect.
Why the moaning then?
It's quite simple. When people loose in PvP they always first think the reason is enemy ships/guns, never their own or enemy skill.
Tenacity is the prime example of that:

The Order's faction class 9 guns are crap. Our weapons are outclassed in every way by those used by our enemies (not just the keepers, but the BHG as well). If we could use more than two nomad cannons on our fighters, we might actually be able to stand a chance in an evenly matched battle, and we cant have that, can we?
At the same time BHG players claim how all of their stuff is inferior to Order.
The only way to achieve "perfect" balance, is to make everything exactly the same. If anything is tiny bit better in any aspect while worse in another, there'll always be someone who will complain.
