We work hard, for years at a time, establishing our Roleplays and becoming respected, and then some guy on the server five days decides he wants to be an Outcast, knowing virtually nothing about the NPC faction and how it runs, gets an equal say to us? I don't think so. Unless you are an Outcast you shouldn't have a definitive say. Earn your stripes before you go deciding things for the rest of us.
The only ''definitive say'' is Igiss', everyone else can add their input put at the end of the day we don't vote on the models, Igiss makes the decision - and a good job of it he does too. I don't know where this defensiveness is coming from Eppy, perhaps something else has upset you today?
...are you trying to psychoanalyze me, bud? Don't. You'll only make me see red.
No, the defensiveness is people who have no idea what they're talking about coming and saying 'INCLUDE IT!!!!!' or 'NO! U FAIL! IS CRAP!'. Chances are none of these people have ever built a model. They don't know what goes into it, they don't know a thing about hitboxes or textures or aesthetics; they don't think about how it will fly or how it's going to look in the rest of the fleet. All they do is say 'OOOOH! PRETTY! ME WANT!' and walk away. I'm supposed to let that form a general opinion on my submission? No. Igiss makes the decision, but he does listen to people's opinions. I could make the most brilliant model in the world and it would get rejected if everybody hated my guts.

On that note, it might be a good time for you to stop talking. :\
The majority obviously doesn't agree with you. <shrug>
(Note that your actions don't make me "hate your guts". I'm just saying, a lot of the people here are quite... emotional, I'll say, about these things.)
What majority? There aren't even clearly defined positions. Put your ego back in your pants, Orin, you'll realize after a few weeks that the user title doesn't actually mean you've accomplished something.
EDIT: Aiden is, of course, completely correct.

You misinterpret my position, dear Orin. I said the community as a whole shouldn't have as much of a say. They will get shot at by it, so if it's overpowered somebody has to be able to blow the whistle; if you give the community equal say it will overwhelm the minority and vote for the pwettiest one, which may or may not be what we should actually fly. In short-the community at large is essentially underinformed, and hence shouldn't be allowed as much a say as the people who actually fly the ship.

For one the design sketch you made is lovely, but i would state for the record that unless the infocard is changed, this vessel was a joint design by the outcasts and liberty rogues, that alone should be kept in the back of the those attempting to replace the current model, this could be more restricting but i would hope it would be less, as the rogue design visually is quite different from outcasts
best of luck to yae all on this
(and yes i own this ship, and ive been around a long time, and come on guys quit bickering, if you all put the energy you put into bickering into other matters disco would be twice as uber)

I think this has gone quite far enough now. Just design the bloody things, it ain't a pissing contest ...
