those that wished to RP such a ship would be satisfied with a RP loadout... those that wish to pvp can still use the catamaran.
Well, for the "unique ship" of Kusari, it would basically turn pretty useless. I'm all for RP ships, but this game has too much mechanics in favor of PvP. It needs something to redeem it.
if you can think of anything special for a unique ship then?
Maybe a conventional fighter with powerful transport shield... which would sacrifice... I dont know, agility, firepower...?

Um, good RP for any pilot worth his salt would be to fly a ship in which he wouldn't be prone to dying. I know Kusari folks are suicidal fighter-crashers, but they would go for the better ship every time.
the general complain right now seems as if the ship is incapable on a pvp basis.

this said, I used to fire vanilla torpedoes as a close range weapons. With good timing and reflexes, nothing lived a sunslayer.
Hm, well I could see it firing SNs, just at a reduced capacity. Perhaps make it lightly armored in relation to other SHFs and bombers, turn around Praetorian speed, and have a power plant slightly lower than the low end one we have now. That way an SN would drain about 75% of the core. 3 slots could make it useful in fighter combat with it's capable handling, equipped with a Razor and Train CD. A sort of multipurpose hybrid bomber, suffering from armor only marginally higher than a VHF.
To be honest, I quite like the new version. Kind of curious as to what it would look like without the horns, but its not that big of a deal.
As for PvP aspects... A Sunslayer+Starkiller combo might deal a lot of damage, especially with a third slot for a CD, but it might be more effective to limit it to having "Missile" mounts instead of "Gun/Missile"... I think that is possible. You'd be able to one-hit pretty much every fighter... Even without any missile immunities. Our famous Torp Spammer (JihadJoe) might look into it...
Though, if you want to make it a more unique craft... You have to think about its use. So, I'm going to assume that it is something like a combination between a aerospace-superiority fighter and a tank. Reminds me of the Templar, really. With that in mind, I'll think about it on the land... I imagine something with mostly high-powered weaponry, and a tank-like cannon. Torpedoes don't really seem like they would work in an atmosphere. They sound like they would need something like water.
I would suggest giving it a generator that can handle one mini-razor from max energy (maybe leave 20-30% energy after one shot), but with higher than normal energy regeneration. Then give it slightly above average agility (something like the current Raven's Talon) with a nice strafe and five guns. I'd say a hull between 9 500-10 000. Essentially, like a combination between the Rheinland Wrath and the Hammerhead (not Manta).
