' Wrote:They're not that great but a bit better than normal guns. Yesterday, I had another long boring fight. Me vs. 3 other fighters.
Basically, I only did some minor scratches with the main guns, completely worthless. But I managed to kill their shields with nuke mines and then spaming firestalkers actually helped, but guns not. I killed 2 of them with nuke mines but then I ran out of ammo so I became a dodgewhore and fought the remaining guy with the guns only for another 20 minutes. We both failed to inflict any hull damage, it was just leading nowhere, so the other guy just cruised away.
And I didn't follow. I had enough. I may have made 2 kills but those were stupid, random, unfair and nukemine rubbish kills. Made me just sick. I'd have been much happier if I had made them normally.
...but that just doesn't happen often in Disco.
Guns need a boost, they do, they just do and do and do and do. Period.
Randomly dropped mines is a novice's trick, and its a novice's trick to overcome it. Randomly running into mines...well, that doesn't say much about your opponent. Not being able to scratch them with guns, that doesn't say much about you. I'm getting closer and closer to the oppinion, through reading your posts in this thread, that you want to make things easier to kill because you cannot land a decent hit. That, in essence, you are very bad at PVP.
Moreover, your nukes and missiles would have done much much more damage if they had no armour, making the random useless deaths...more common, and easier to achieve. Logical fallacy?
' Wrote:Creativity..OK.
But this is not creativity it's common sense.
And by the way fighters can't use SN
Whoops, that's meant for a bomber.
Quote:Ui, ah yea, that shall be Creativity...
If THAT ,ahem, "noobish bull****" (sry) is called skill and/or creativity, i shall quit gaming at all, really...
Since when is it skill using "Fire and Forget" weapons... where does that bring your aim in play?
All i can see is, its lame, and easy way to kill someones Fighters and his/her fun at this game.
Uh Uh Uh, yea, you need to drop the mine in the right moment at the right position, ui, how hard.
Yes, way to post. *eyeroll*
Who fires off missiles and turns around? You'd have to be an idiot to do that. Fire Paralyzer + GUNS AWAY.
It's not 'noobish bullsh*t', they're all tactics used by the pros of PvP.
Anyone who has used mines enough can figure them out - and no-one can really tell you. I figured at least half of this stuff out on my own, so I'd say that I'm creative to a degree, or perhaps just a fast learned. Keep your rude comments to yourself next time.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

Not to mention the lack of armor, as previously stated, would make PvP totally and utterly pointless. Having to wait four hours after a 30-second PvP fight, bull crap.
Look, Johnathan, we all suck at something in Freelancer. I happen to be terrible in Fighter vs. Fighter. But Bomber vs, Bomber and Bomber vs. Cap are easy things for me. Perhaps you'd be better suited to a cruiser, or battleship, seeing as dodging is pointless. Unselie's right, random mines are a novice trick and a last-ditch tactic. As for guns, you may want to invest in something like Cerberus or Solaris codenames. What you need is a lot of practice. It took me a while to get used to the different types of ships. But I have a grasp on different combat styles. You could too if you spent less time in this thread and more in Connecticut.

I had Loki, they had 2 Wraths and one of them was BHG
' Wrote:What kind of guns?
I had 3 Krakens, 1 firestalker missile and nukes. Didn't care much about their equipment but I noticed lots of shieldbuster.
' Wrote:And how bad aimers are you?
Can't judge myself but I was able to dodge everything the threw at me and so were they.

No, I didn't realise this when making this threat but I really don't want nukes to be more damaging than they're now. Guns yes, they are nearly worthless, unless you're using vengeances' or something. But still they deliver very little damage.
Well if you cannot hit with Krakens... there's no helping you.....
if they were from RM they either had codenames which are no easy thing to hit a LF with or Hornvipers which don't do any damage right now.. and are getting 30% damage upgrade:

mmm, yes, Hornvipers. A lot of people have said they screw the aim somehow. And I actually could hit with Krakens but only 2-3 times per run which diiiiiiiiid.......nothing.
