' Wrote:Is was also those independents that brought it down. When I chaired CoZ, I got complaints from all over Sirius about indies using slaves as crew from numerous factions. If I had booted them like they wanted, there would be no CoZ. The smuggling done by indies also reflected on us all even if I repeatedly told people that if they're caught, they're on their own.
All the internal disputes cost me a friend in Malcalypse who left after he had had enough. Now, Sam is gone. I'm sick of watching good people leave over differences of opinion.
If they get caught and are not part of the CoZ it is none of our concern. If they are part of the CoZ they are kicked out.
Not to mention the new faction right is in.

I mean c'mon, would it be so hard to have a KSP, or a Bowex, or a Hessian? Try staying out of the Omicrons for a while - find something in House space (preferably not Liberty).
You lot should get some fresh air from the Zoners, then come back when things have simmered down... Why do people have to pour so much personal emotion into a game?
I can name.. 6 zoners i saw roleplaying zoners and about 60 more that dont. Same thing can be said about any faction in sirius.
problem is, you have to clean alot more than other factions because you get all the greedy powertraders and rest of factions get those greedy powertraders after they earned the cash, so they're bit more peaceful
Oh gee, a post with a downward spiral resulting in Sam (a friend, I like to think at least) leaving and another ZA-CoZ debate.
It's a game. Get over it. Things happen.
Good lord (future pun), you'd think it's the bloody Church against the Temple here. Your way is right - no our way is right! Who gives a dewlap? It's a game. Dab, you're upset that people didn't want to... What? Make letters appear somewhere on a server that gets fed to your monitor and discuss the fictitious goings on of a block of code? Why? All we wanted was to do our own thing, and if the CoZ passed a law, we wouldn't have to be affected by something we potentially disagreed with.
Why the deuce is this such a big deal to everyone?
P.S. I have nothing against you, Dab. You've been here since the beginning of time. I just think everyone needs to stop getting so annoyed over all this nonsense.

I'll answer that, Jammi, why I RP a Zoner. Even in RL, my best fit is that of a Zoner. I keep to myself and when I do associate with people, I show equal respect to people regardless of who they are, who they work for, what they are carrying or who they work for. If someone, regardless of any or one of those, shows me a fair level of respect, they will receive it from me. It's the kind of mindset that works best for me.
I had a pirate for awhile and I just failed miserably. Sure, I could say, "Greetings, Trader. I'm sure you have a family to tend to so I'll only ask 1 million for your safety." I just DON'T have the mindset to be a pirate.
A cop or a naval officer? No thanks. Having spend so many years of my life in RL with the U.S. Army, I really don't have the desire to start from the bottom up in a light fighter and doing the rank and file thing again. I climbed that ladder once and even in RP, I don't feel like doing it again.
"Run a trader, Doc." Well, I already do. My transport funds Doc's many projects and he often works alone more often than not in border and edge worlds with those occasional trips through House Space.
And FYI, I do have one Mercenary hiding amongst you all.
Sorry for getting off topic a bit.
