Freedom of speech? This is a private server, thus our freedom of speech is dictated by the owners. And I fully support the rule. No need for swearing, and other insults.

Some words, like the f-word, and the like, should not be used in any situation whatsoever.
But for example, me flying into battle shouting "Your as* is grass, *insert enemy here*!" is perfectly in RP IMO.
Or, saying "Those bastards just took out three of our men!" is also in RP.
"Crap! Losing power! Ejecting!" is perhaps somewhere in between, but still allowed IMO.
Just use your common sense, don't use the "big" swear words, and never ever point any kind of derrogative term on another player ( not a character )
However, calling someone anything out of roleplay, even such a "small" thing like telling someone he's an idiot, retard, or stupid, is very bad form.
And about threats, well it says clearly in the rules that RP threats are allowed.
THANKS God at last a logical statement.
Thanks mate, for bringing the light towards real RP. This 3.2 rule is too restrictive, as well as the banning of my friend, Kaltalo.

Exactly ToTaRa (although not to the same extent to you it seems:))
Space is conveyed in Freelancer as a cruel place. Big bad pilots would use big bad words, it's in-character. 'bastard' conveys strong feelings which other words don't, so to you Veer, I disagree with your statement: "you can do it in proper way".
To Crassus: A Roleplaying Swearing forums is ridiculous, and that is not what is being suggested.
Now you're going where you should not, ToTaRa.

This is not about a critique towards the admins.
It is a discussion among the members of the community about proper conduct and the meaning of the expression on the server.

Correct me if I am wrong, please.
Allright, let's say that 3.2 are fine as they are.
Its interpretation has to change.
Admins do not let players justify or excuse themselves.
Banishment for 14 days when a guy says bastard or sh*t to an NPC *by mistake* (it's a new player),
or swear in his mother tongue because he could not work out how the Chat system was working can be EXCUSED.
