I think the Supernova pretty much made the whole place into a barren NFZ. Just look at planet toledo magnify that to an entire solar system. The Nova pretty much made the whole system unstable to jump holes. See you in 100 years.
Sometimes, when all you want is to gain your freedom, you must be willing to risk it all.
Adding sols might be interesting, but still it would be more interesting too see the coalition being back to conquer other houses. Ofcourse they cant be in sols. But why not like us took to somewhere else and found us. Actually instead of gallia, they might made it more interestin with the french guys acting as rebels just as councils do

You have to think outside the box. Even if Sol did get blown up... there's no reason someone out there couldn't build a new one.
I actually had a few ideas on that front. Subplots involving the Baxter Anomalies, Cosmic horrors, Dimensional rifts, Magic, and Stellar Architects which just spawn a replacement Sol system (no coalition though). Probably won't happen but it'd be cool if it did.
That way you can have your blown up solar system AND a perfectly functional one.

And what if the Coalition have stayed in Sol building bases in the asteroid fields (remains of the planets) and on Pluto?
well sol was destroyed based on the extended intro, so this argument fails.
