I only have one quetion not exactly about the mining system, but more like the field added to dublin...
DUSTY WHAT THE HELL DO YOU FEED THOSE CORSAIR NPC PARTOLS AT OMEGA-49 JUMPHOLE?
a patrol of 1 titan and 2 centurions almost took my SHIRE out .... and those were only NPC's ... not to mention the great feeling when an NPC blows up due to mines and takes half of the ore in space with him ... gotta love it. I dunno if the fields were made like this on purpose or just happen to be like so...
but my biggest problem is that after like 5 sec after player number going below 95, corsairs spawn like 2 minutes after the wave before was destroyed ... hopeless to mine anything ... and of corse they are always after the smallest ship ... my fighter ...

I don't have this problem, I either stick to patrol paths and see what comes. Today I was mining silver in colorado and was right in the middle of two yes TWO liberty navy patrols, anyone who was hostile got killed by two dread patrols. But if there is just HF NPC's or LF NPC's just have a ship with around 8 or so turrets or whatever, they will usually leave you alone. If you can my advice is to save up for a mining ship. For some reason unless two NPC pratols come by they will leave you to mine in peace...
"a patrol of 1 titan and 2 centurions almost took my SHIRE out ...."
This has happened to me before, I was in my akegata and 3 hessians almost killed me...I wasn't in any minefield or radiation area, they were just that strong. Only thing you can do then is fight your heart out...
Just curious, but why were the scrap prices dropped along with the ore prices?
As I understand, scrap wasn't included under the commodities that could be demanded by the Miner ID.(Not that it was really an issue, as from my experience, barely anyone bothered mining scrap, and no one pirated them).
Granted, the current price is still really good. If it'd been dropped back to the old Pittsburgh prices, THEN I'd be complaining.
Characters Alan Markson: The Hellfire Legion's Lord Commander The Perihelion: Freeport Four's guardian, and yet much more. Missing and assumed Lost with all hands. Eric Dresmund: Junker, smuggler, thief. Last seen drunk on Beaumont Vayrn Wyard: IMG Recon pilot turned Neo-Terran Captain. Last location unknown

Do you really think it's so good? I'm not sure about it but, anyway, I see why you don't get pirated. Scrap has a value only if u sell them in pittsburg but no unlawfull can dock there.

I just noticed that Iridium is not on anything in the official guide. Yet it is a fairly major Mineral to mine.... Who has the bonuses, where to sell it and such should probably be included in the guide, yes?

CR shouldnt get any mining Bonus
WEll then why there is a part regarding the CR mining? Probably Dusty made a mistake? Well how then we are supposed to mine, while we are stationed so close to space where mining fields are plenty? All CR ships have CR id and no exceptions. SO probably we shouldnt even be mining ey?
I hope it gets fixed for us so we can retag the entire IMG mining fleet we have to CR mining fleet and be happy.
TIl then, we will gladly abuse IMG ID and IFF for our own purposes.
Niob got nerfed extremely hard. It drops very rarely anymore and it sells for hardly anything at all at New Berlin. Is there any chance it can get a slight un-nerf back to it was?
A kudos though, the scrap mining is fun as it is enjoyable. The route isn't TOO long, but not long enough for people to abuse. Loving being a Junker scrappin' in the fields.
As John of the SS Joyride would say, "Scrappin' is my biz. Cleanin' up tha house systems for all ya dirty peoples!"
