don t read what you "want" to read - read whats there...

"... any zoner who has sold goods or services to unlawful groups... "

the reply states that zoners see it as their reason NOT to support such a goverment - and that they really dislike to be associated with such a goverment or to deal with them at all.

it does not say that they don t do it though. - it might be like ... ( for example ) :

china not really liking the USA - and the USA doesn t really like china much. - but both will still employ a great trading activity, - cause like or dislike is one thing.... profit another.

if the USA uncovers criminal activities in china, they ll point it out and try to take advantage of it. - and if china spots political incorrectness in the USA, they ll try to exploit the same. - but as a whole, they ll still keep up the trading connections. money speaks... .

Depends how you view ships and how easy you think it is to know who's who.

I'd think that it would be pretty hard to differentiate one member of a faction from another while in space, and, as such, Zoners would have less freedom to trade than a house corp (the law would have to pull them over and actually check out the pilot's credentials)...but that's just interpretation of how the universe works...

Zoners annoy the bugger out of me. I saw one in Eta, carrying Artifacts. I, being on my Outcast, CD'd him and told him to drop the Artifacts. He went on this rant about Zoner Neutrality. I stressed the fact that he was carrying Corsair cargo on the Outcast side of the minefield. He promptly sharted shooting at me, and when I killed him in defense, he started spouting all of this OORP bullcrap, and said he'd file a sanction.

Nothing happened, so I suppose it was ignored.

That Zoner was out of line; as a Zoner he can certainly trade in Artifacts, but that doesn't mean he can expect immunity from Outcasts enforcing the Artifact embargo. However, should you choose to attack the Zoner, you should certainly not expect to be able to land on any Zoner base. This case sounds like self-defense but it is quite annoying when a pirate kills a Zoner saying "ZONERS AREN'T IMMUNE FROM PIRACY.. DURRRR" and then lands on a Zoner base.

Don't make all of us suffer because one went OORP.
Derkylos, that, of course, applies to Zoners who have actually been caught trading with unlawfuls; it's incorrect to say that the ruling encompasses all Zoners.

Honestly, there is kind of too much (female dog)ing these days; people seem hell-bent on forcing everyone into PvP. Zoners are neutral; they can trade in lawful and unlawful space without meddling in other's conflicts.

That's definitely pretty annoying. That being said, I've seen them say and do the exact same thing to Wilde ships. Or the infamous "i r zoner u cant attack me:)" quote.

Unfortunately, the Zoners draw a lot of people like that. There are lots of very well roleplayed Zoners, too, of course, who unfortunately get to take the brunt of complaints for the others.

I've probably done the same, so I just have to say :yahoo:to all the well played Zoners. (And :rtfm:to the oorp ones.)

IF you wanna kill zoners, get a vigilentte ID and go on a rampage:Pim shure you can find good RP in that kind of action.

PS: Remeber kids, the key here is ROLE PLAY!

I believe it even says in the zoner ID that they are not immunize to piracy. It is at the pirates discretion on whether or not he wants to put up with the zoner. So technically the pirate has every right to kill a zoner if he refuses to give up the goods (be sure to give an engagement notice). But as to what Quorq said, that pirate should not go and land on a zoner base if he had just attacked a zoner.

Having seen a few Zoner (and many BHG) warships sitting in Bretonian space, I wonder how in RP, they justify the enormous fuel costs to drag a top-of-the-line warship into house space to sit around. The house militaries can take care of themselves and these factions have their own territory to defend. Also, we allow Zoner warships to come into house territory but imagine what would happen if a Liberty dreadnaught sat around in New Tokyo, or a Bretonian destroyer went to Frankfurt.

ok let's face it people. everyone at some point during their day of playing goes to NY. Why, because that is where the best RP is. there is hardly anyone in the edge worlds that you can talk to like in NY. It is always just a hello and sometimes not even that. It is boreing in the edge worlds so people stick to NY.

I thought this was obviouse. and people with juggs and cruisers just wanna show off their money.:P
