Grim news,
Got wind o' a possible 'sair strike force 'itting Cambridge, aimin' to do goodness knows what. Gathered at planet Cambridge, ta start investigatin'. Just'as we we're about ta start th' searching, we get a whole bunch o' the Brotherhood on scanners. See attached file fur identification.
We immediatly target the freighters in the formation, as scanners pick up what could only be troops on board. Targettin' the Pride, we managed ta knock 'er engines out, and she slammed into the planet, wi' the troops onboard. After it hit, th' 'sairs pulled out, but ma ship was hit th' atmosphere too, and was destroyed. Gonna 'ave ta get a replacement... Don't think the forces will like 'anding out another paladin.
Fur futher information, Commander Samuel Vimes should be consult'd, as he was there, an' 'is ship survived, far as I know.
A crisis averted, or first o' more ta come... I'm longin' fur the old days, loonys included...

Today I got word of a toaster cruiser in Cambridge. Naturally I picked up some "Energy Tea Power Bags," threw them in some hot water, and took off in my Challenger. When I arrived in Cambridge I found the Harvester near the New London Jump Gate. I scanned him and found a couple BAF pilots on board, so I asked him to kindly drop them and shove off to Kusari or some such place. He was about to oblige when a Bounty Hunter Destroyer arrived and found some of his own chaps on board the Harvester. I tried to work things out peacefully by offering a deal to the Harvester but he fired on the Bounty Hunter. After a short scuffle the Bounty Hunter was heavily damaged but we had won.
On a side note, any ships requesting SRD access should talk to me and I'll see what I can do.

A small addendum to Warden M'guires report of yesterdays events in Cambridge:
Judging by the corsair communication and behaviour during the strike and the freight of the freighters, I assume this whole operation was an attempt of the Brotherhood to get land troops onto Planet Cambridge. While the only freighter which got close to the atmosphere, suffered decomposition, we can't be sure that the onboard troops weren't able to escape to the surface. Thus, I suggest we inform the planetary authorities of this incident and let them be on their guards.
Vimes out.

But the Raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered--
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before--
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
<blockquote>Then the bird said, "Nevermore."</blockquote>

Last nights patrol.
Did not spot any crimanals last night. I sat at New London for some time monitoring trade. No smugglers came through thank goodness, and every trader was being very cooperative.
There was however one trader who was a little suspicious. H seemed to be carrying Light Arms repeatedly to a very close destination. Un fortunately I did not know the restrictions on such items at the time. My main worry was that he was taking them to a nearby criminal base. So I followed him at a distance to be sure he was taking them to a lawfull base. He was, and I made the conclusion that this individual must actually be very devoted to our cause, because he sure as tea tastes good, wasnt making much profit off the run.
Later there was a nervous trader who fast docked before I could stop him. I told him his actions didnt sit well with me. Then he actually told me he wasnt the least bit afraid of the BPA due to the size of the ship i was flying. I was none too pleased with this character, but life must go on, so I include it in my report and try to put it out of my mind.

Evening everyone,
After sitting outside Leeds for a fair few, I encountered a King of Fighters Liner named AppZing. King of Fighters is a Universal trading company I believe... Even though they are apparently Kings of Fighters... Who the bloody ‘ell thought of that... Anyway, on topic, I stopped the Liner outside Leeds, took a cargo scan and found some Super Alloys. After asking where it was going, I indeed found out it was going for Stokes, breaking the Trade Embargo in place, so I told it to turn around or drop off the Cargo at Leeds. He agreed to turn around and he headed towards the Newcastle system.
Thinking of foul play, I decided to escort him to his destination within Bretonia. We travelled in Newcastle right up to Scarborough station, after reaching there he engaged cruise and headed straight for the Cloud near Scarborough. After a small grace period I requested that he would stop, several times, however this failed and he perused to go on and laugh as he got away, naturally it would be suicide to follow him into the cloud so I let it go.
After making a mental note of the events, I returned to Leeds Orbit, where much to my delight, there he was again, the idiot fell right back into my hands. At this point I wasn’t going to take any chances and I requested BAF backup at once. After catching him I decided it was best he dropped the cargo for confiscation right there and call a CCD unit to take it into Leeds, However he then he then proceeded to play a game of dropping a single unit of cargo then engaging cruise. Not tricked by this low attempt to escape, I gave him yet more warnings and requests to drop the entire cargo, however refused each request. I asked the BAF if they would kindly batter his ship to bits until he surrendered the cargo and came to a complete stop.
Eventually he surrendered before his ship was close to death, then he started to drop the cargo one by one again, after being told to drop it all in one go he attempted to flee again, at which point a BAF Challenger swiftly pulverised it into space dust. Afterwards all the cargo was destroyed in the subsequent explosion and nothing was left worth salvaging.
I personally suggest that the entire King of Fighters group be given a warning or worse, and the target ship AppZing be banned from Bretonian space until it pays a fine for its actions with a formal apology for making me have to repaint my Hussar yet again.
Gun cam photographs will be privately transmitted over a more secure line on request.

Before I started patrol I hooked up with Duncan M'guire so I could tag along and see how things are done.
The patrol started smooth with just a couple traders, nothing hapening.
Then a civillian flies past in a kusari fighter and the teapot hits the fan. The fighter itself was not the problem. We escorted it to the omega 3 jump gate to make sure it was leaving. The before we could turn around, three Wilde ships have appeared seemingly out of nowhere and started firing on us.
I dodged about to start with but it was soon clear that one of their ships was loaded up with missiles and I wouldnt stand a chance in my hassar, so I unfortunately had to flee the scene. Very lucky and very happy to be alive.
Im not sure what happened for some time after that as I suffered a major navigation computer error (//game crashed). When I got my systems back online there was a battle going on between Wilde and BPA near battleship Norfolk. It appears one BPA ship was destroyed and the pilot rescued. This was followed by a long standoff.
This ended when an oracle turned up and started mouthing a bunch of religious babble. This luckily seemed to calm the wilde down and they cleared out, possibly to repair the ship that was badly damaged by our pilots.
Sometime later the oracle seemed to just dissapear into nowhere. It is possible they have access to some sort of cloaking technology. It might be possible this is how the Wilde initially managed to get the jump on me and Duncan.

Good day everyone,
I know a current debacle regarding the use of missiles has recently occurred, and an answer is something everyone has looked forward to. After a very short discussion amongst the Sectional Chiefs and I, we have come to a conclusion almost unanimously: missiles are not required for our everyday duties and are decidedly dangerous weapons of war, and are thus reserved only to the SRD and the BAF.
The reasoning for this is quite simple, we hold respect in Bretonia, not fear, like other police forces such as the Kusari might. If a citizen is to listen to us, it will be because they respect our occupation and the duties we fulfill. We do not need to instate a method of martial law, the literal use of weapons to solve every problem, our wit and our negotiating skills are our main weapons. Weapons are our last resort, and even when used, any chance that may be taken to save lives, be them friendly or hostile, they should be taken. While we can show the enemy that we're not simply flies to be swatted, we shouldn't show maliciousness towards any human under any circumstances.
Furthermore, missiles are dangerous not only to our enemies, but also those we seek to protect, and are developed for the sole purpose of making war. Even if they assist us in destroying our targets, the chance of backfire resulting from a missile is severely higher than that of a tachyon, particle, or pulse weapon. The result of such a backfire is apparent in the line of duty, and anticipating such moments to jam a missile's launching sequence is one of the tactics which we should be using to our advantage, not submitting ourselves to. On another note, missiles can cause collateral damage to other constables in the field or, heaven forbid, the civilians we are trying to protect. Blast radii from missiles is becoming larger as the development continues due to attempts to better utilize fighters against capital ships. We can't afford to damage any civilians while attempting to protect them via misfire, that would be completely contradictory to our efforts. The risk is simply too large for the supposed gain.
And on a final note, what would Bretonia think of us if we suddenly became more militant? How would we be viewed if we lost our benevolence and wit for malignity and violence? The respect of the people is not worth losing for the further expansion into a militaristic organization.
I do so expect any missiles other than Cruise Disrupters currently mounted on any police ships to be dismantled. Thank you everyone for your cooperation in the matter.

I began with an alarm call from leeds over a dispute between traders and the BAF. I launched in my husser in order to assist in the matter providing a civil and calm mediator between the two groups. 'Course I never got there as I heard a distress from a lad near Southampton Shipyard. Seems there was one of them outcast fella's trying to scrounge some credits from the poor trader. No doubt- I came into the fight to speak with the outcast who was now crusing away. I disrupted his engines and told him we could discuss the matter. No doubt- the poor fellow musta' been high off his mind, ranting and raving. I tried to calm the poor fellow down- but sadly he kept spewing gibberish until he sceamed "Prepare to die!"
Now, things were going well, I remained calm- but I made a fatal miscalculation- I proceeded to pass the crazed fellow and launch a mine- however, I failed to interpret his same actions. Course- my poor husser ain't build like them war fighters. Thorn's got some sense when she talks 'bout collateral damage. I never believed in using missiles and I don't think my husser, or my wife would like the though much either. Luckily- I was able to eject in my new cockpit- had an entire cup holder installed 'swell. The sheer velocity was able to get me out of harms way where I was able to await rescue. Course- this velocity also did a number on my uniform. I need to make some modifcations to this cup-holder to withstand those speeds- less I want to keep spending money on the cleaners.
Anyway- from the gibberish I was able to find out that the man went by the name Salazar.Kithe, registered as one of them outcast guard blokes.

A bit of an interesting encounter today.
I launched from New London with the left over Christy's food I had asked for from Christy. The tea was absolutely excellent, brought back great memories.
Anyway, Lieutenant Tom Ramey of the BAF reported three Gaians in Leeds. One a gunboat, another a bomber, and the other a fighter. I hopped in my new Havok MK 2 to defend Leeds from the gunboat threat. As I arrived at the scene near the Dublin jump hole I saw that the Gaians were carrying civilian pilots. I asked them to drop them in exchange for some Gaians Ramey had picked up. They agreed and went away peacefully, shouting their usual nonsense all the way to Edinburgh.
At least the day ended without bloodshed and some people were saved.
Bruce, out

Bit o' an odd day,
Launched fur a patrol wi' Commander Bruce Scott, takin' down pirate patrols in the lanes 'an what not. Got a report 'o some Mollys in Leeds. Was a junior constable who reported it, Corra? I can't really 'member it, ask Bruce. Anyway, 'e pointed us to Newcastle, where we 'ad a bit of a nonsense.
Bowex ship, the "Kronos" was at the Ark Royal, after askin' about where it's nuclear devices were 'eaded, an' askin' him not ta ship 'em. 'E suddenly opened fire and blasted Bruce's ship fae under him. With the Ark Royal tractorin' him in, I engaged. Along wi' the silent guns o' the Ark Royal... Need ta investigate 'at one.
Anyway, after I took 'is shields down, 'e docked wi' the Ark Royal! Poised like a ol' lady wi' a fryin' pan waitin' fur a burglar, I waited fur 'im ta leave.
Long story short, after I'd drained all 'is shields, he engaged some sorta cloak. Vanished fae sight. Seems Bowex is keepin' secrets fae the government... More investigatin' needed fur that one me thinks.
By the time Kronos wis taken care o', the Molly's 'ad retreated ta Dublin.
