My name is Kevin Piner. I am interested in joining the ranks of the Liberty Navy. I've grown up in Liberty my whole life, I have now come of age to fight to defend our borders and destroy those who we protect. My family has a very extensive military background, and I don't wish to break that cycle. I grew up on Manhattan, and got my education through West point Academy. I consider myself a very capable pilot, as I have learned when I was very young.
Allow me to prove myself as a very capable pilot, you will not be dissapointed.
Vice Admiral Ryan MacTavish
Fleet Headquarters
Virginia system
Dear Admiral MacTavish:
I grew up on a small peach farm on the Southern Continent of Manhattan. In the early morning of dawn, you would see acres of dew covered trees with pink blossoms and great white leaves.
In those days my father and I labored in the fields caring for our beloved trees, harvesting the fruit sold in markets across Manhattan. But then the rains failed and our land was wracked by drought. Year after year the trees became thinner and thinner, the life blood of our farm dieing.
I was 12 when I looked up into the sky, the orchard dust swirling around me. Six flashes of silver light streaked into the atmosphere, vapor trails of pearly white following their course. The sonic blast of their speed echoed across the planet's surface.
Seconds past as six gleaming ships streaked overhead in a roaring torrent of heat and noise. Knocked to the ground, I looked up in wonder and saw on all the ships the words--Liberty Navy. In that moment a dream was born. My young heart burst at the sight of those amazing ships.
As the years passed my father whom I loved above all else died three months ago. I wept for all the dignity, love, and suffering that died with him.
I'm seventeen now and sold what was left of the family farm. I moved to Planet Pittsburgh and got a job as a pipe fitter. The hours are long and the back breaking work is not much of an existence. But I've always held in my mind the image of those Liberty Navy ships streaking across the sky. A hopeless dream of a young man with no future.
Admiral MacTavish, can dreams come true? Is it possible to have a better life here in Liberty--to create a new destiny among the stars?
With nothing left but a willingness of the heart, I submit my application to the Liberty Navy Academy.
Yours sincerely,
Johnny Horton

Rather than filling out her application via holo-net transmission like the majority of Libertonians seemed to do these days, Rachel took it upon herself to walk to the nearest Liberty Navy Recruiting Center, which she did. Data-pad in hand, she walked nervously over to the Recruiter's desk, biting her lip as she placed the already filled-out application on his desk and took a step back.
--Data-File Begin.-- Name:Rachel Baker
Age: 19
Birthplace: Planet Los Angeles
Gender: Female
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 124lbs
Relatives: Alexis Leary(Mother), Anthony P. Baker(Father)
Previous Fields of Work: None, I want to enlist so I can get off LA and avoid the family business.
Experience: Well, No job experience...but, I've been told I'm good with people, Oh! and I also took basic flight courses at Manhattan Civilian Flight Academy.
Biography: Well, I was born and raised on Planet Los Angeles, in one of the poor neighborhoods. My family tried to make a survivable living for us. I always stayed away from the gangs, and the druggies and the other various types of low-lifes around my neighborhood. I attended and finished Highschool, and earned a handful of College credits during my time at the Manhattan Civilian Flight Academy.
My reasons for wanting to Enlist in the Liberty Navy are for one, to serve my nation in this time of war and to defend our people. For two, so that if and when I decide to settle down and maybe raise a family, they won't have to grow up in a similar environment to how I did. I want to make something of myself and get away from the environment I've been living in up to this point.
--Data-File End.--
Rachel looks to the Recruiter, waiting silently for a moment and then speaking up.
"So, now that you've read that, I hope that you'll allow me to enlist..."
Rachel looked down and began to wait silently again.

Greetings, pilots.
This reply comes in with a short delay, due to the large influx of applications we have received lately. However, I have managed to sort out all of them up to date. Therefore, after studying each and everyone's background record, and reviewing the theory tests, the following decision has been made.
Urielle Stelvin, John Tyin, Johnny Horton, Rachel Baker - Your applications have been accepted.. Please outfit your Executioner class vessels, using our naming convention [LN]-Firstname.Lastname. You will also be required to acquire the proper Liberty Navy IFF and ID transponders. After a trial of 8 hours of flight in those, and with the transponders set, you will be promoted to Ensigns, and join the real ranks of the Navy.
Matthew Cooper, Kevin Piner - I'm afraid to report that your applications have been turned down, due to some flaws in your background records, and the theory tests. You may not apply again anytime soon.

After landing his vessel on the Norfolk, he exited the cockpit and wandered down towards the recruitment office on board, the Norfolk. He sighed lightly once he reached the location and tapped on the door lightly, someone opened it and waved him inside.
"Take it you want to join the Liberty Navy?" The man had said.
"Yes, sir." Ethan nodded.
"Alright then fill these papers out, send this one through the fax once it's done, and this one return it right to me." The man said handing him a few pieces of paper and a pen, before turning around and leaving the room.

Hah, Born and raised on Planet Manhattan. Parents, still alive and living well, Mr. Jeremy Morrow, and Mrs. Jamie Morrow, JM & JM, haha. Anyway's, I graduated from the civilian flight school around the age of...oh I believe Seventeen, yeah, seventeen. I then stayed with my parents for one more year before I went and signed up for the Volunteer Corps at the Academy, Spent my time stationside for four years, 'course I wasn't half bad in the simulators, recently graduated, sadly not top of my class, try fifth. Got to space in a broken down BDR-804 Guardian, Volunteer Corp loadout for now. Trying to get my transponder sorted out.
I'm interested in joining the navy because of the war with Rheinland. I'll gladly lay my life in the line of fire for the folks back home, and other planets under our governments control. After all we can't have Rheinland and their apparent "God Chancellor" stepping all over us, now can we?
He shook his hand and sat down the pencil then stared at the paper. "Well, that looks as good as I'll be getting it." He sighed lightly just as the recuriter walked back in.
"Done?"
"Done."
"Alright, we'll take both of the papers and will give you a notice. You might want to check your Comm's for any messages within the next few days." The recuriter smiled and gave him a slight nod.
With that he got up and left the recuriters office, heading for the Hangers on the Norfolk.
Name: Marcus Lindberg
Age: 21
Birthdate: 794 A.S.
Birthplace: Planet Manhattan
Gender: Male
Height: 6.2 Feet
Weight: 100 Kg
Relatives: (Aline Lindberg) Libertonian mother (dead), (Adolf Lindberg) Rheinlander father (in LPI Prison), (Jonas Lindberg) older brother (dead)
Previous Fields of Work: Civilian
Marcus Lindberg was born in Planet Manhattan Rheinland Father and a Libertonian Mother. Having been born in Libertonian space, he was eligible for Libertonian ID, which his parents assigned him. His father was a Rheinland expat, hoping to escape the economic depression in Rheinland, and did so with great success setting up a successful business in Planet Manhattan. Marcus grew up a spoiled child without any attention from his father, as his father was always too busy with his older brother, whom he considered worthy of his love (as he was not as spoiled). His mother had always given the attention Marcus wanted, but he wanted the attention from his father, he had more than enough from his mother already. He spent his High school years escaping the pain from his home, at which point his mother and father had been divorced, and spent most nights up gambling or party in the most expensive clubs and casinos of Planet Manhattan. Unsurprisingly, he graduated from school with mediocre grades, grades his father wouldn't accept. His mother blamed his father for ignoring Marcus and spending too much time with his 'prize son', Jonas, who at this point was already an officer in the Liberty Navy. His parents fought and fought, until Marcus's father accidentally made his mother fall from the stairs, and break her neck. LPI Officers immediately rushed in and arrested his father and closed his business down. Marcus's father now serves lifetime sentence in LPI Sugarland. Marcus managed to escape that night, knowing that LPI wouldn't care about his story and arrest him anyways for putting him to work in LPI Sugarland or any other prison station they had. He knew this from past, underage experience as many of his friends were serving time in these prison stations creating consumer goods. He managed to escape all those times through luck. His own father wouldn't even bother bailing him out if he ever got caught. Marcus managed to escape and get a flight to Detroit Munition and served as a mere laborer making weapons. He enjoyed making guns, even though he was overworked, and all the guns he spent time making ended up in the hands of bounty hunters or civilians who never truly appreciated the work that went into creating a a Detroit Munitions M3 Riot Breaker, or something deadlier. The Xeno's attacked all the time, but very lightly. Never in Marcus's 3 year working period in Detroit munitions did the station come under such a heavy attack lives would be lost (inside the station at least). All that changed. His older brother, now 32 got his hands on intelligence reports from LSF that the Xeno's would be launching a massive attack, possibly even nuclear, on Detroit munitions. Knowing his younger brothers life was in danger, Jonas Lindberg escaped his post in the middle of the Texas system (in the middle of the Liberty - Rheinland war) and traveled all the way to Detroit Munitions and arrived in the middle of the attack. More than 50 Xeno ships were assaulting Detroit Munitions, and less than a dozen ships were helping him fend off the attack. The reports about a nuclear attack were true as well. He had to down for than 20 ships before finding the ship with the nuclear missile loaded. He managed to destroy the Xeno ship, but the Nuke had already launched. His Vengeance guns on his Avenger were out of energy, and Jonas knew he had to intercept the missile before it got close enough to the station to damage it seriously. With all his weapons out of charge, he dove straight into the nuclear missile and caused it to explode as his ship impacted the missile itself. Marcus stood there, watching through the window, seeing the only real family he had left be blown to bits. A few days later, Marcus had received the final message Jonas had sent him before he died. Jonas asked Marcus to change his spoiled ways (he still went out clubbing and gambling), and do something that would benefit everyone. Jonas had given up his life (and received the Medal of Honor in the process) to give Marcus a second chance. Marcus quietly thought to himself...The Navy...
NOW, on a more REALISTIC note

I'mm actually just a 15 yr old dude living in Bangkok, Thailand. I would tell you my real name, but I'd prolly have to kill you...oh, and I come from India.
I really have nothing to do all this summer, 4.85 just came out so I thought I might as well give it a try.
The reason I want to join the Liberty Navy is mainly because its a large group which would allow me for some socializing as well as playing together, rather than alone. With those reasons, I thought I could join any faction I wanted, but the [LN] stood out mainly because of my characters background. He could also join join the Rheinland Military, but he prolly hates his father (who's a rheinlander), so it would make sense for him to join Liberty Navy. And the Teamwork would be fun too. I don't mind listening to the orders I get from a person above my rank, even if it involved me getting killed, after all, its just a game:). But that doesn't mean I'mm not serious about RPing either, I do hope to go up the ranks in the Liberty Navy overtime. And since I'mm a little new to discovery FL, I thought it would be a great way to improve my piloting skills as well, especially since Liberty is at war with Rheinland right now.
Oh, and I would also like to note that already have the Executioner with vengeance weapons (except for the turrent, which is a bounty hunter Reaver weapon). That is all. Thank you.
Quote:Name: Logan Willows Age: 19 Gender: Male Height: 5'4" Weight: 173 Relative(s): Sarah Willows Previous Fields of Work: West Point Academy, Flight School Flight Experience: Approximately two years
Summarized Biography:
Logan Willows, which was not his real surname, was given to him when he was taken as an orphanage by Sarah Willows who during that time served the Liberty Navy at the rank of Lieutenant. Prior to Sarah's orphanage, Logan had spent most of his time in the slums of Hudson. Having lost his mother at birth and his father killed by a criminal gang at the age of twelve, he had resorted to thievery in order to survive. Logan along with several other underaged criminals were captured by the local police enforcement at the age of thirteen. Being parentless, he was quickly sent to the Hartford Care Taking Center, during the same year he was first introduced to Sarah Willows.
Sarah Willows had since that time raised Logan as his own son. The strong affection which she had for Logan provided him with a new meaning to life and was persuaded at the age of seventeen to enlist himself to the West Point Academy Flight School. There Logan was recognized for what seemed to be natural flight talent and was swiftly transported to the Bomber-class training. Here Logan improved with great speed and at the age of nineteen graduated as the best bomber pilot of his class.
Three months later Logan decided to apply for the Liberty Navy in hope to redeem his illegal past and reach for a brighter future.
