As I was saying, I think that only those who have no posts whatsoever (be they in Flood or in a regular forum) should even be considered for removal, and that only after an extended period of inactivity. Accounts with 3-6 months of inactivity and no posts at all being deleted doesn't sound like a terribly unreasonable thing to me, but then again it's not up to me to choose. However, posting a one-liner "Hello" message in the welcoming forum or something isn't too difficult, and if one isn't about to post, you don't need an account to browse the forums.

Look at my situation:my nick on almost all forums is Tommy(my real name is Tomica),but I can't use it here because there is already one Tommy,but look at his profile:

never used,0 posts nothing.Because of such people I have to put birth date numbers in my nick which is really stupid.
So,yeah I say or delete such users or make it like like that so you can keep your old nick but change the one that is visible to others.So you log in with old nick but it's not visible.You can put whatever you want to how will people see you.

Heh! Why fix something that ain't broke? Sure, I know that in the age of instant gratification some people want what they want when they want it & can get irritated when they don't get it exactly the way they wanted it, but hey...that's just life.

Korrd is pretty cool about changing peoples forum names on occasion when they have a good reason, & I mentioned a decent compromise a good number of posts ago: Use the name "Moctezuma" instead. It is unused, it is a more proper spelling of the name, & I'm guessing that Korrd would be willing to do Monte that favor if he asked nicely.

Now, of course that's not the only option, because there are as many unused names as there are stars in the sky, & it's best not to get fixated on just one (especially the common ones)

Now, Monte, you've only had your account active for about three & a half months...that's a tiny span of time...the original Montezuma was active for about a month after his joining, & you've not been active for much longer than that yourself...So if you're so dead set on having the mis-spelling of "Montezuma" as your forum name, why not wait until at least your one year discoversary before you lobby have accounts deleted of people you don't know just to get what you want?

I agree with overlord that it wouldn't be right to delete an account just because they don't troll with it and you want the name. There are a lot of nmes out there like caul said. Get creative.
