To begin with, I have a smuggler character. In the older mod my greefy smuggler used to smuggle all kinds of stuff, from counterfeit software to slaves. At the moment his main buissnes is selling and buying people. But anyway, this is not the main point.
As a long carrier smuggler my character had encoutered many police and military officers. Only solution to the problem was - run of course (well smuggling goods isnt like trading, they always asks you to drop, so my character prefered to run. And in most cases he was succesful, I bet i was killed be law forces only two times, and that was in the start then I came to disco) or .. the point of this post BRIBE.
And I dont know what the hell is with all those nice guys perfect policemen. What the hell. We are RPing here yes? We are trying represent freelancer reality. That means, that freelancer world is full of perfect good and ultimate bad people? Like the hell policemen would take 4 000 000 bribe and will let softwere pass unnoticed, then will get lets say 20 000 credits for stoping the smuggler.
Come on people, why no-one playes bad guy in a good guy role? ... :/ I really sometimes get sick by those pattern good-guys law officers.
Ok, i am confused, do you want policemen to stop taking bribes all together?
I have a Zoner 'trader' who likes to indulge in the benefits of neutrality (contaband), and has the money to ensure that his cargo reaches the destination, are you wanting to stop this, or encourage it?

After about 20 + encounters then i offered a bribe no-one took it. Nothing helps even then you try to speak about the officers possible family or something. It seems freelancer officers are all those good unbuyable superheroes. ;D.. and thats a little boring.
I hope you realise that official police groups will probably kick out the cop who accepts the bribe
thats alot of incentive to follow the guidelines they set

Ummm, are we playing the same game?
I have been cought a few times, all but once i bribed the police/navy man on the other side successfully (one particular LABC actually helped me get safely through texas after i bribed him).
and I actually agree. A lot of people just roleplay their faction rather than a character. Not saying everyone should take bribes, but people should think 'how does Slozzy Ockum* respond to this?' not 'how would a BPA respond to this?'
*Or whatever your character's name is, on the offchance it isn't Slozzy Ockum.
