And by the way ... traders may be "involved" in most role play encounters ... but it sure AIN'T them that initiate the role play. If nobody said a word to a trader they'd simply go about silently every second they were online ... just building up their credits until one day they show up with an uber-cap wearing Cap Armor Mark VIII.

I'm sure you don't mean all traders, after all, some do try, but when the server has only traders, pirates and lawfuls that arn't up for a chat, well, it becomes rather difficult for them to do so.

Secondly, its rather hard if you're RPing with your escort to do it with everyone else in the system, unless you are using system chat, which does irritate some people if they're not directly involved.

Anyhow, on topic, the three generic combat IDs (Pirate/Merc/Freelancer) should all be treated equally, and should be able to keep their gunboats cause, after all, with the new restrictions, its much easier to make sense of things. Also, about maintenance and whatnot, 1. Everything but the largest gunboats costs less than the largest transport, 2.If you can get a crew for a transport, you can get a crew for a gunboat, cause, some of them are even smaller than transports.

Much like how the Cap VIII armor is more expensive than the battleship it's on. All these rules and revisions were meant to discourage player who were only here to blow up transports and starfliers. And make it so it would take a more three dimensional and interested person to survive here. However most of what they're doing now is forcing people to spend more time on the forums than on the game it's based on. Because of people abusing equipment and ships, they've one by one been made harder to obtain even for a well-to-do player. Now that the hype with the BH Battle cruiser is pretty much down down the count, they've moved on to the next general inconvenience. Indy pirates, greedy pirates the works, now everyone has to spend extra time getting a hold of something that no one had an issue getting before. Not because it would make sense, but merely because it would make it harder for lolwuts, with the repercussion of it taking more time to setup a character.

My suspicion is when enough people's gaming experience is ruined by lolwutters in Cap VIII Pirate transports and slave liners, they'll figure a way to scare lolwutters into their escape pods and decent players back on the forums arguing with one another.

P.S. Yes this a rant that isn't exactly describing every scenario in the least, but a mere analysis of the forum's growth and change when taking to account the few dozen disturbing individuals who have no intention of contributing to the server (specifically the server) game play.

(Which is the 2nd reason I have a zoner battleship, because otherwise its just really boring sitting at FP11 all day.

People have to remember, RP was put on this server to make it more interesting and engaging not throw everyone into a trench war, with rules or even other players for that matter. Trying to make every encounter friendly or hostile more fulfilling, not sterile and message board centered.

Restricting ships doesn't address player behavior, they'll just grab bombers and do the same thing. (Bombers can do it arguably more effectively anyway, so let's just leave the lolpirates thinking they have an advantage where they don't.)

Admins please put one BIG GREEN NOTICE that you will do clean up of those without story with some nice deadline like you did with names? Please would you? O.. i just realized how much it would take.. sorry.. dont do it.. I can help.. each and every Pirate IDed lolboat will get scanned , screened and i will go on look over on the forums.. will that help?

If i don't find i will go in game PMing them so they write story and post it. Then.. after week i will look for post or what ever and then put this as report..?
