To further help in the war effort and against criminals, the Government has accepted to lift the current Mercenary ban. A dangerous move some may say, since mercs have a bad habit of treachery sometimes.
With the current situation inside our space, Navies and diverse governmental agencies are putting their focus on the war with Rheinland, thus leaving the polices forces to do most anti-criminal tasks. With the help coming from "lawful" mercenaries, the level of security within Liberty will stay in line with its expected standards.
Any mercenary found betraying the government of Liberty will labeled as a criminal. Depending on the case, some of those turncoats may get a price on their heads. A small portion of the Liberty Security Force will keep gathering intelligence related to various mercs operating on the wrong side of the law, so they may be taken out before any civilian casualties occur.

"This is Jessica Dawson, Colonial News Network, reporting live from Colonial One, where I'm present at the inauguration of the new Prime Minister, Mr. Richard Lampkin.
To all those who do not know the man all that very well, Lampkin is a long time political activist who started out as a Colonial diplomat, only to rise to the duty of Quorum Member after five years on the job, and has now won the elections for Prime Minister.
As we all know, that effectively makes him one of the two most powerful men in the Colonial Republic, leading the Colonial Republic along with the President.
We are now switching over to the live feed from the main deck of the ship."
A relatively large crowd of dignitaries was present on the lavish main ceremonial deck of the Colonial One luxury liner, with a short-haired man in a luxury suit standing on the steps in front of what appeared to be a priest.
The spectators were seated in large wooden chairs, with the red carpeted isle stretching between their two halves.
As the man turned towards the crowd and started to speak, the camera focused on him:
"Ladies and gentlemen, citizens of the Colonial Republic.
I have served our fair nation for a multitude of years, and have done so with pride and joy.
It has been an honor, a privilege, to serve my fellow citizens as a politician, a Quorumer, and last but not least, as one man amongst many.

However, in short, a Mr. Seido of DXI was able to compromise with the crazy man and return the hostages to Newark Station, where they are currently receiving medical treatment for slight bruises, and a few cuts. Shortly after the Hostages were transferred to Mr. Seido's ship, Countless pilots who had been watching the incident broke after him, and his ship was confirmed destroyed within seconds of engagement. Thanks to a Transport crew who recorded the entire incident's logs, we have visuals for this amazing story.

The Room silenced as a middle aged man walked into the room, the camera zoomed in on his face which was littered with many scars. He was rather tall and had slightly longer hair than most of the career pilots that surrounded him. It was combed in such a way to hide a large scar which was barely visible on the side of his face.

"Hello, and thank you for coming. Now i normally make a point not to come into the spotlight. For those who do not know me i am Fleet Admiral Meek, in Supreme Command of the Colonial Fleet, that is Fleet not Colonial Military. Now i have prepared a statement which i believe will sum up the action of the past several hours.
It has come to my attention that there has been a few changes around here, very drastic changes. To investigate why such vast changes took place so quickly i decided to look into the affairs of the people who made them. I now have several shocking discoveries to share with the Colonial News Service, as well as the news services at large throughout Sirius. This will be of particular intrest to the Corsairs and Outcasts, not to mention the Kusarians. It has come to my attention that there has been funds diverted from Colonial Military budgets and the taxes of the Colonial People themselves. Diverted to the Bank accounts of President Alexander Wingates and Prime Minister Lampkin. We have also seen anomalies in these accounts which may seem to be bribes. Possibly from these smugglers who we now day to day are forced to let slip through our grasp.
As I myself had served under the President for Many years while i served in the military. I have been left thinking to my self. How is it possible that one of the greatest heroes of the Colonial Nation can become one of it's worst tyrants. It also made me wonder how Lampkin, a man that none of us knew except the President himself until recently was able to rise to the Position of Prime Minister, a position only rivaled by the President in the politics and myself in The Military.
The most tyrannus thing however. Was no refferendum on the Outcast treaty. As this is an affront to Colonial politics as a whole and to the trust of the Colonial nation. This was a clear violation of colonial law. This is of major concern and i am sure that it will be adressed by the next government. However i will not make a move on this myself as it is of course impossible for one man to make a decision for all of the people under Colonial Rule. I would however stress that a refferendum will likely be held on the subject to determine it's fate.
I will now finally have to come to the conclusion that most of the men in the democratic system of our government have been corrupted by this scheme. Therefore I had no choice to do with the backing of the Colonial people, and the Backing of my military forces to depose these tyrants from office and to move into the Position of Martial Law until a New President and Prime Minister have been elected. The Two Battlegroups Including my own that are on course for the soon no longer to be President and Prime Ministers' lavish cruiser the Colonial One. Thier days of leading the Colonial People is at an end. It is time to get some new democratic peoples into command. As well as make sure that such things can never happen again. I hereby finish by saying. For those we left behind. However one last thing. I will keep the status quo until the new government is elected. I will hand over power to htme when it is done.

Greetings Viewers I am John Wiltz with CNS NEWS LIVE I am currently at the residence of Colorado Sen. John Murdock with this breaking news unfolding as we speak. Not to long ago the vessel Commanded under the late heir to the Serienatii commerce power houses was Hi-jacked.
While being confronted by Liberty Customs the hijacker reveals puzzling comment.
Despite Liberty Customs attempt to resolve this issue where it began at Westpoint New York, Liberty they were interrupted by a random assault from a rogue gunboat giving a clear escape route for the hijacker. Navy reports said that the Yacht fled to California, Liberty while a detachment of Liberty Navy was unknowingly heading straight into the Terrorist's escape route.
Upon the encounter the Navy learns from Customs that the yacht was ridged with explosives, the navy took careful steps to secure the vessel and its crew. But it wasn't long before the terrorist fired upon the Navy fighters.
The Battle didn't last long as the terrorist realized it was a useless gesture and stop firing on the Navy. It was then the ship was subjected to the Navy and was transferred to Westpoint to be processed, The Terrorist was not found on board the yacht.
The Navy cannot explain how he got away but what they did find on board the yacht was most disheartening. The body of the Captain striped nude and his body carved with the words "Sinners too," Clearly this was not a political attack on the Senators family but a random act of insanity. We interview now a survivor on aboard the yacht and to our knowledge the only survivor.
Wiltz: "Hi Joah, I understand this must have been terrifying but can you tell us anything about the man who took the yacht?"
Joah: "I don't know I didn't seem him I was out most of the event I came too when the navy was towing the ship the cruise engines were shutdown so we had to run on impulse until they disarmed the bomb. Other than that I have no idea what happened. When we got to Westpoint they placed me in the jail cells an...,"
