It's rather easy to tell the difference between the two.

It's easy to tell the difference when telling the difference is to your benefit. When it's you being the target of these kinds of comments, you generally end up seeing them as unnecessary and you post a sanction report to get back at the people who were the source of the comment.

It seems to me like people will use anything and everything they can to get someone sanctioned. You let one word slip, you might as well not sign on for the next 30 days, because you'll probably be banned anyway.
