Please note I had no intention of claiming this bounty, I have 2 Bounty Hunters but they don't claim unlawful bounties and no merc chars. I dislike the fact a player posting a bounty for whatever reason does not deserve to be spammed with OORP hate mail, anyone who resorted to this should be ashamed, if it had happened to me, I would be reporting it to the admin's.
I must remember that RP in future should be dictated by certain players menstrual cycle.
' Wrote:It is a game. I could put a bounty on everyone in Liberty, say, but that would annoy a lot of people too. Why would I want to annoy people who are playing a game to have fun? Zeltak has noticed this and has apologised for any grievance caused. Kudos to him.
I'm pretty sure most of the people in Liberty have one bounty or another on them. That's the way it is here. If you find a good RP reason to bounty everyone in Liberty - good for you, go ahead. Zoners aren't exempt from this.
If there wasn't anything else to the bounty than being against Zoners that made people cry, I'm really disappointed.
the zoners are openly allied to the corsairs and the terrorist group known as the order.
they are openly letting corsairs base of the freeport in omega three. they support a sizable population of corsairs on planet sidney. and they openly send supplys to unlawfuls that the proud people of bretonia are trying to combat.
therefore, for the distruction of zoner vessel's in bretonia, i offer:
200.000 credits for the distruction of zoner fighter's/bombers.
300.000 credits for the distruction of zoner transports
500.000 credits for the distruction of zoner capital ships.
must be a lawful to claim.
message ends.
Reasons being:
1. Zonoez, they let everyone ever dock on their base, so we'll focus on people we don't like for reasoning behind this.
2. Canon. Well, okay then, by that reasoning, Bretonia should never have signed a treaty with the Mollys (Even if temporarily). After all, the info card said, "ENEMAY!". The Order is always quite brash with us in my experience, so I think the "Ally" judgment is quite out of date. (Not even mentioning how much Bretonia doesn't care about the Order.)
3. They're letting people conform to being Zoners. And some of them might be Hispanic! *gasp!*
4. We feed women and children. Most of the men, in theory, are in space pew-pewing and probably taking what they need. If you have a problem with that, you're a terrible person.
That, at least, was the bounty I had issues with.
Not to mention the Corsairs hating us, the Wilde saying, "Ur bais is ours!" the Keepers (at least at face value) attempting something at FP11. Kusari limiting our trade, Privateers shanking us, Indie Outcast gunboat brigades every other trade lane (not really a problem, piracy happens), and then people like this which cause all sorts of chaos.
The main problem was we have enough problems. Just yesterday six Keepers started harassing Delta (Four QCP near GC and a bunch of idiotic Corsairs not respecting the NFZ and blasting everything in sight near FP9). So please, "PLOX TEH NOTRALZ!" is getting kind of old on our side since the entire Galaxy seems to be out for our blood.
Now then, upon refreshing and re-pasting this, half of what I said has already been said. But I'm still posting it for the other half that hasn't.

Irrrony!
Now then, lets put hypocrisy aside, shall we?
P.S. My main problem was with the bounty posted by that one weird random guy who was like, "They're humanitarians: Kill". I never noticed Zeltak's bounty. Hmm, thanks though anyways at your attempts of making peace.
Actually, i never hunted the zoners because of the bounty. In fact I was the only person who hunted QCP for the counter-bounty. They're both roleplay opportunities, but I just don't have a character for killing zoners with. Not for money, anyway.
I don't think it's particularly hypocritical of me to complain about the disgusting behaviour from certain zoner players, whilst attempting to act in roleplay in response to the situation myself.
Oh dear. Not that I watched all this mess with pleasure, but my stand on this borders "ololol" pretty much, because the so-called pretentious seriousness paired with several acts of e-drama it has all been approached with is very ill, very sick-minded. And while at it I'm just going to correct BlueSpawn that it's not "when they can" but "when they want", a desire that effectively governed by situations all around, making them sometimes being ignored, sometimes attacked on sight, and sometimes intentionally hunted whenever and wherever possible, thankfully we're very much free in terms of shaping our RP ways with things around. That be all.
One thing that kinda irks me is how people turned this all into OORP mess with childish threats and slamming doors. It's really pathetic, you know, if I reacted the same way on similar things in this game you'd be left without doors at all! But look - I am still here, like it or not. Too much "wah-wah", just hold there, mkay...
The issue at hand is that everybody has their own idea of what good roleplay means. Folks seem to enjoy roleplay each in their own way. The important thing is that regardless of who you roleplay -- a pacifist or a murdering scum -- you need to be aware that "fun for everyone" is the purpose behind Discovery.
Then you get into an arguement of "what's fun for you isn't fun for me," and that's the real trick. I'd like to bring up the example of Nomads again:
Keeper players are considered to be mostly PvP folks, yet I have encountered a great deal of them who do not simply kill everything in sight. I've come across Keepers that put down their guns for a while and engage in dialogue and funny conversations. That's fun. Later, when I jump into a huge Corsair vs. Keeper battle and have my rear handed to me by the Keepers, I don't really care -- I have fun with those guys because a lot of them balance verbal interaction with pew-pew.
I don't think that anybody in the Zoner player base would have had any trouble with Zeltak if he approached players OOC and said, "this is my RP idea, I want to put a bounty on you guys but I have something interesting in mind and I hope you'll give me a chance because I think it'll be very cool RP."
Communication.
Communication between players on any multiplayer event is the key to fun and non-stressful interaction.

My stand has been 'OLOL' the whole time, actually.
