I dunno, that ship seems a little compressed. It seems to me that the length and width would hinder it when it maneuvers. The idea of jinking and juking is to prevent giving th enemy a surface to hit, and the this ship would show its largest flattest surfaces in maneuvers, which would make it very easy to target.

Also, the texture on the bottom intake look a little too small on that front view. Maybe it's just the perspective, but it looks a little much.
Those fins that connect the wings with the bottom intake part look way too thin, like they'd snap if you rammed the ship. Can we thicken them to about the thickness of the Sabre's equivilant of those parts?
EDIT: I realised something, you're using the wrong texture on the 'in' side of the intakes. The one you've got there is the 'out' side. You should use this texture:
It's called engine_128 I think.
I know the intake textures are different. I decided to use the engine grill in an effort to slightly diversify the ship - adding a little bit of variety, if you will. (not to mention the straight up-and-down went horribly with the large ventral intake) I wondered if anybody'd notice. I tried it both ways, and it honestly looks better like this than the vertical grill.
Comparison will be forthcoming whenever I feel like it. (namely, not now:lol:)
I've honestly been having second thoughts about the struts myself. Thickening will be forthcoming, and I think I'll move the lower weapons hardpoints outside of the wings (the struts were sort of an "Oh, I should have these, too" moment).
As for your concerns, Hobby, it's based off of a specific ship, so the shape is kind of a necessity, and since the Mandos are mercs I think this is going to be used for small-scale combat, so a lot of jousting; therefore, slim forward cross-section.

Looking at the thing next to the Stiletto I'm starting to think that it's actually a Heavy Fighter. Its forward cross-section is about the size of the Dagger, actually, but it's so much longer that it definitely qualifies a class up. I think It would really suit the Mandalorians well, actually - great for taking out one or two targets, not so good with mass group fights.

This is a discussion about a ship that Eppy has rendered. Constructive criticism, comments, and throwing fruit is all acceptable. Discussing the politics of a faction and/or imports and/or unique ships is not for this thread. Create your own if you wish.

I am not really happy with that design of the ship.
It looks too much like the outcasts build it.
I am, to be honest, not even happy with the concept of the ship, being a mandalorian ship.
I would rather suggest to make a ship, or a shipline up to a gunboat/-ship created by a "mercenary group".
We have strong ties with bretonia and (lately) with the outcasts, settled down at Barrier gate with the Zoner shipyards being near. So we(the mercenary group, NOT the mandalorians) have the right conditions to "make" a new shipline.
So out of fun I browsed a little and found these mandalorian ship designs. They look like bretonian and borderworld designs fused together.
Could the nose of the ship be made pointier? To me it doesn't look....I dunno it just doesn't look right. It might be just me but I was only wondering. And would this only be available to the MM only?

Needs some more work , but it might end up being a fine addition. In the mean time Eppy , see that "ship" in the MM~'s signature ? Why don't you try sculpting something of the sort?
