That's the point: a battleship is a FLEET ship. It should support the teamplay. Get one or two gunboats and the same amount of fighters. We made good experiences with such a setup.
A VHF should kill abomber without problem. Sometimes happens the bomber win, blame yourself, don't blame the bomber.
3 VHFs could destroy a destroyer, so we should nerf the VHFs.
LFs get killed by mines, take mines out of the mod.
Missiles are too good, nerf them.

I'm beginning to think the bulk of this forum doesnt have the mental capacity to add two and two. I've pointed out the issue in what, six different threads now? And every single time, it's ignored with the remark "Lulz, itz hard 2 kill fighter wit snac!"

Fire 4 class 9 guns almost limitlessly.
Sustain heavy damage from fighters (razor hits, missiles, ect.)
Engine Kill
Fulfill the role of a fighter.
Fighters can:
Fire 6 class 9s for a few seconds.
Die with one well placed SNAC shot.
Outturn bombers
Not fulfill the rule of a bomber.
Now it's true that I didn't analyze every element of these ship classes, but it's fair to say bombers can be bombers, which is well and good, and fighters, which is bad. The next question is what to do about it. One idea I had was to lower the hull of bombers, allowing fighters take them out quicker. Of course this makes them vulnerable to capital ships, which makes them basically worthless. Another strategy would be to bump up the powercores on fighters. The issue here is that fighters would start mounting SNACs if they got too powerful, so we'd have to balance the energy levels carefully. Maybe a slight buff of fighter cores and a small reduction in bomber armor would work too.
Okay... I'm not going to wade through 7 pages... but simply reply my idea how to 'fix' this.
Currently the issue is a Bomber can 1 SNAC kill a fighter without risking to blow itself up in the process.
Thus I sugges modifying the SNAC to be a instant-fire missile projectile that can't change course with the same speed and damage stats as the SNAC has and an explosion radius in relation to the Nova Torp - slightly lower tho as the SNAC does less damage.
Now, a bomber SNAC sniping a fighter with a near collision manoeuvre dies should the fighter have blown off the bombers shields.

I didnt create any of those threads, I'm just trying to get people to realize that the problem (or solution in some cases) isnt what they keep claiming.

But, in a fleet battle, can your Wraith kill that bomber before he can land Lethal, or even significant, damage on your team's battleship? Hell it doesnt even need to be a battleship, what about a destroyer, or a cruiser, or a battlecruiser?
This is my point:
Fighters cannot kill bombers quickly enough in fleet engagements to protect the capships on their side.
Gunboats are currently doing the fighters' job better than they are, at least small gunboats - large gunboats are still screwed in fleet engagements.
Bombers are able to survive against enemy fighter swarms far too easily while at the same time dishing out enough damage to take out large capships.
Throw all these together and you end up with one big cluster**** in terms of ship balance.
Right now, bomber vs capship, 1v1, is fine. Fighter vs bomber, 1v1, is fine. Fighter vs bomber in a fleet engagement is NOT fine.
